Hi guys, I've been wanting to build an A320 home cockpit for some time now, but I'm on a very strict budget. Is it possible to build an A320 cockpit similar to a Jetmax system? This is pretty much what I would need: PFD ND ECAM Mini-overhead (http://www.fscockpit.eu/shopfsc/index.php?lange=2) EFIS + Master Caution+Master Warning Panel (Capt. Side) FCU and whatever else is on the captain's side of the MIP. How would I be able to do this? I'm not very crafty or tech-savvy when it comes to hardware. It doesn't have to be an EXACT replica, meaning I don't need the exact thrust levers or joystick (I'm using my Saitek throttles and my Logitech joystick) or any extras, like a pull out table. I just want it to be looking + working almost identically to a full size A320 sim. Thanks!

I am trying to use the SPAD software to use the Saitek BIP with the PMDG 737NGX. First I uninstalled the profile software, but then my yoke was unusable with FSX so I had to reinstall the profiling software. However, I did not uninstall ProFlightPlugin. However, when I use the 737NGX the panel doesn't work properly. As seen here: http://youtu.be/_NV0joSJOGM I really hope to get these working. I plan to purchase the multi, radio and switch panel as well Any help would be appreciated. Thank you EDIT: Also, it seems the wrong lights turn on when I activate a failure via the FMC. So if I set the fuel to 0, the ENG FIRE lights come on and the MASTER WARNING and LEFT FUEL LOW lights remain on.

Thanks everybody :lol: Settling on a JetMax 737-SK. In my price range and is exactly what I need. Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for all your help! I have a pretty good idea where I can buy my products now I have two questions, however. 1. I am considering buying the MIP 2.0 Bundle from Flightdeck Solutions but the pictures do not show an MCP (mode control panel). Would buying a Cpflight 737MCP work with the Flightdeck panel? (would it fit properly, etc) 2. Does it all hook up by USB? If not, how does it hook up to my computer? If so, will all the USB devices affect my FSX FPS? Remember, I am running on a laptop. A very nice laptop, but not the best for FSX. I can't go out and buy a new laptop. My laptop is for college. Thanks again :lol: You have just made my goal a little bit easier. Hayhay7789

Hey everyone. I just got a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System and so far it is great. Now I have this message stuck in my subconscious: Build a 737 Home Cockpit. Just do it. Okay, sounds simple enough. Not. :( I have looked EVERYWHERE I can think of to find ways to build this that will make sense to me (YouTube, Google, Yahoo) and I just can't find any websites that give me a simple way to build the 737-800's cockpit in my basement. This is how I want to build my cockpit: I want to buy it piece by piece but I do not want to have to buy EVERY SINGLE SWITCH ONE AT A TIME. That may have been a bit confusing. Basically, I want to buy the complete front panel, then some more displays, then the complete throttle quadrant, then the complete overhead panel, then the complete pedestal. But even if I find a place to buy all those things, I may have another problem. My computer. My computer is a Mid-2010 13-inch MacBook. 2.4 GHz processor, 8GB RAM, and 512GB SSD. I play FSX on BootCamp. It runs all my add-ons (GEX, REX, UTX, PMDG 737) with decent FPS. However, I am a bit worried about connecting everything to my computer. On my computer, I have one Ethernet port, one Mini DisplayPort (display connections), two USB ports, and one headphone jack. To sum it up: 1. Where can I buy complete, plug-and-play parts of the cockpit? (e.g. buy the complete front panel, the complete throttle quadrant, the complete overhead panel etc.) 2. How would I connect everything to my computer? USB hubs may help, but what about displays? Would I be able to keep a steady frame rate? Giving me a little bit of a tutorial would be extremely helpful :lol: Sorry if that was all a little confusing. Thanks everyone! -hayhay7789 B)

SCRATCH THAT After installing Ultimate Terrain X USA, Ground Environment X North America, and Real Environment Xtreme, it worked fine, so I tweaked my settings a little bit (increased weather settings to Ultra High) and the Weather at max settings did work, so I decided to tweak my scenery. But these settings did not work, the tail and engines turned black and the plane entered skeleton mode, then I got a memory error again. I did save the previous settings, but I made the INCREDIBLY STUPID decision to save the settings that did not work and overwrite the previous ones :( My settings are back in the exact same places (except for traffic being turned OFF instead of at Very Low) but IT IS STILL NOT WORKING!!!! GRRRR :angry: I don't ever backup my files...stupid me <_< Please help me...I seriously need it! Again! (thanks so much for helping me solve the problem I had previously!)

Hey all, I saw this YouTube video that caught my eye. (video shown below) As you can see, the graphics are really awesome. Is there a way I can get the same graphics quality with my mid-2010 MacBook? (money is no object) On FSX, I use the PMDG 737NGX and the Shader 3.0 mod. Out of Memory issue fixed. Thank you everyone! But I still need your help. I now have a "Fatal Error" issue that occurs in 2 places: 1. When I end a flight with this airplane 2. When I change the airplane's livery while on the Free Flight screen Please help! :(

OOM has been fixed! Thanks everyone! But now I have a new issue...whenever I end a flight with the PMDG 737NGX, I get a Fatal Error. This only happens when I end the flight with the PMDG 737NGX. Any ideas? It would also be helpful if you could give me a link to a PMDG 737 FMC tutorial, I can't find any that make sense to me.

*bump* Still getting this problem even with a new SSD! Help me please! (yes I know, this is an old thread)

After about a couple seconds: Fatal error. I followed the guide shown at http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/read.php?f=2&i=30169&t=30169 but I couldn't get ahold of Brian York so the guide was only partly helpful. I need ways on how to get FsPassengersX working with the PMDG and preferably with the Mini Display active. Thanks, and have fun simming!

Nononono. I have a white MacBook. The white plastic one. I bought it in 2011. It came with 2GB of memory, but I upgraded it to 8GB. The graphics card is a NVIDIA 320M with 256MB of shared memory. I may soon replace my Hitachi 256GB HDD with a 512GB SSD from Crucial.

Actually my computer has a Integrated NVIDIA 320M with 256MB of shared video memory. Very recently I've been getting 30+ FPS.

I got my Mac for college just about a year ago, I don't really want to go out and buy a really pricey gaming desktop when I already have a computer

Hi Flight Simmers! I just got the PMDG 737-800/900 because everybody says it is a really good jet. But I have a problem that REALLY bugs me. The problem is that I can only use the plane for about 2 or 3 minutes until it enters skeleton mode and gives me a OOM message. Sometimes the plane enters skeleton mode before I even start a flight (still in the Free Flight screen). My settings are: --------------------- Graphics: Custom Aircraft: Medium High Scenery: Very Low Weather: Very Low Traffic: Custom ------------------------ In my Graphics I set the display resolution to 1280x800 and set the Global Texture Resolution to High (otherwise can't read the letters in the VC). In Traffic I put General Aviation and Airline Traffic to 10%, and I put Road Vehicles and Leisure Boats to 15%. Ships and Ferries is at 5%. My system is a Mid-2010 Apple MacBook (polycarbonite/white) with 8GB of RAM, a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and a 256GB Hitachi hard drive. I'm using BootCamp to play FSX. BootCamp has a 64-bit Windows 7 installed on it. What can I do? Can I fix my problem or am I screwed over?
