  1. Hi There, I am curious if your yoke is still behaving? I actually returned my first yoke and brought a 2nd one from a different vendor in the hope it was a production issue, I am just over 2 months in with the new yoke and it started doing the exact same thing. I am pretty unhappy right now, I opened a support ticked with Thrustmaster so hopefully they can fix it but it'll probably mean having to return the thing. For an expensive piece of hardware this is not promising, I am beginning to regret my purchase even though I love the yoke 😧
  2. My friend, I have come to expect nothing less here 🤣 My original post was a little tongue in cheek as I figured it was a livery problem. Can't help my sense of humor. I am off now to post in the 2nd thread about removing the Dune loading screen, maybe the big boys over there will be nicer
  3. I didn't have a lot of time yesterday so just dove in, I figured out pretty quickly what the issue was and then I also saw it on the first post.
  4. I didn’t but I went to the livery manager and realized most had updates which fixed the issue. Thank you though
  5. It appears with the latest update you get a new Madagascar Livery 🤣 Where are those penguins ???? Let the troubleshooting begin ......
  6. Here is a perfect example, I captured this 15 minute segment with CapFrameX from the threshold of EGGP in the Fenix with a good amount of FSLTL traffic and ultra settings with 6K shadows and a TLOD of 450 in the air. Now Do I expect to see that somewhere like InI Builds Heathrow, of course not, I have the headroom where by I can drop my fps and GSYNC on my Sony X90K takes care of things but it never gets out of control. Hmm I should actually try this test with the excellent AutoFPS at a larger hub and see how it performs.
  7. Sorry I forgot to say if you use the overlay functions in RTSS there is a nice FTV graph that shows the timing in milliseconds between each frame. The less jumping around in fps the smoother the sim will be. Couple that with the higher fps that FG produces it really is something to see.
  8. It means "Frame Time Variance" it is basically the timing between each frame. The more consistent it is the smoother the experience in the sim will be. For any given hardware setup if you make adjustments to the settings accordingly you can get a consistent FTV even at lower fps although having a low fps with a consistent FTV may help to eliminate stutters it is not so good on a large display such as a TV as I described in a post above. Hope this helps
  9. 100% agree with you there Captain !! Even FTV is important at any FPS setting, I have shown it many times on here before. Locked 80fps with FG and zero artifacts = a sublime experience. You need to have evenly matched hardware for it to happen though. 30 fps on a 55 inch 120Hz 4K TV is a horrible vomit and headache inducing mess
  10. Try 30 fps on a large display like a 55 inch 4K TV, Then you will see how smooth it really is.
  11. Probably the Canadian variant 🤣
  12. Oh boy Noel, That's a brave statement to make here on AVSIM LOL Prepare for the incoming internet troll attack 🤣
  13. I am finding Couatl constantly crashes as well. The Fenix integration seems to work at departure but I am finding at least 50% of the time I have to manually restart Couatl. In fact I just checked and it had crashed again mid flight !
  14. And now you can see Mos Eisley, Tatooine clearly from the flight deck of the Fenix at FL 360🤣 Currently putting a Special Forces Coalition Team together to free your PC from the tyranny that is CPT_Piett LOL
  15. It is definitely related to individual displays, I posted a screenshot taken from my 55 inch Sony X90K and when viewed on my Asus 27" PC monitor the top of the PFD does look darker yet on my TV it is perfectly readable in every condition. BTW nice to see Bruce is taking some time out from his busy schedule to indulge in his flight sim hobby 😃 Up The Irons !!!
  16. Maybe you should take a long hard look at your attitude and then it might become clear why so many people come down on you here.
  17. If you have nothing better to contribute why bother saying anything? Trust me there are plenty of people on here that really do appreciate Reset's work. No one is forcing you to use this app and no one wants to hear your constant whining. If you disagree with this so much delete your AVSIM account and go spend time at the official forum or even better Reddit, that'll be right up your street!!
  18. I really don’t think it’s anything to do with your system or internet speed, there’s still a ton of cities with horrible photogrammetry. Toronto looks like something from a zombie apocalypse lol
  19. I think I might have messed up, I had the MSFS setting at 400 and was in non expert mode. I need to experiment further so I understand what is supposed to happen
  20. Great Job Bob I applaud your level of expertise. I guess with all your years of experience you will be able to cure the problem you have with your display instead of constantly complaining about it !!! I am certain that with all your many years of experience you have the correct colorimetric working space and have checked the Delta E deviation between your monitor and that standard. Have fun with your dark display !!!
  21. It has nothing to do with the picture accuracy between a calibrated & uncalibrated display. I guess it is something else on your end then because it doesn't happen on my uncalibrated 4K TV. Both PFD & ND are 100% readable at the top all the time.
  22. The picture looks worse than it is, It has to be display related, on my 27" Asus PC monitor it does look dark, on my flight sim TV it is perfect even in the shade.
  23. Could it be a display issue? I have zero issues reading mine but it is on a 55 inch 4K TV.
  24. Not sure if I am missing something here, I tried this and my TLOD was 400 sitting at the gate of IniBuilds EGNM in the Fenix causing stutters. Is this correct? Why would you need such a high TLOD sitting at the ground
