  1. I have both and used them in P3D. I definitely liked them and used them when I could. However, I did notice that I could not use approach charts in Europe. This is not a deal breaker for me, but certainly a consideration. Updating the Flight1 or RealityXP database was always behind...so if you do have Navigraph (or wish to purchase), then it would be great to have a way to update the TDS version as well.
  2. If you already have the Navigraph anyway (or are going to purchase it), then it really does not apply...except that the European approach charts will not work in the TDS version. Since I fly across the world (not just the US), it would be nice to display the European charts in the GTN. I'm not saying this is my only consideration, but well worth considering.
  3. The TDS does not display European Charts... This is the reason I ask my question concerning the PMS GTN 750 Premium. It implies that it does, but I would like to confirm before I invest in the Premium and Navigraph... I would hate to find out that after spending all of the that money it does not.... especially when we can simply (hopefully) get the answer in this thread...
  4. I'm glad they give the option of both. For me, I do like the APP as it is easier to keep up with the updates.
  5. Thank you...I might add that in the video, CptTurner talks about using COMM2 instead of COMM1. So far, I've been successful using COMM1. I do have PF3 ATC and do use it..It would be great if we could somehow use the Azure voice servers with PF3.
  6. So, just to confirm, with the Premium version and the Navigraph Charts, you're able to overlay the European IFR approach charts in the PMS GTN 750?
  7. Good morning RandallR...I know this is an old post, but I'm trying to find out if the PMS 750 subscription supports Navigraph Charts in Europe...will you see European Approach Charts overlay on the 750? I believe that is one thing the real 750 does not currently do...
  8. I recently found this work around at the MSFS 2020 forums. After making this small modification, you can use Multi Crew Experience to speak with native ATC and no longer hear the CO-Pilot repeat what you've just said. Basically, the steps to add this modification are: 1. Go to your FS-BASE folder. 2. Locate the Speakers.locspk file. 3. Make a backup copy of this file in case you need/want to remove this modification 4. Open the Speakers.locspk file with Notepad or Notepad++. Find the lines: "Name": "COPILOT", "Gender": "NotSet", "Age": "NotSet", "OutputBus": "VO_COPILOT", Remove them from the file. 5. Save the updated file. Now, when you run native ATC, you will hear ATC but no longer hear the CO-Pilot voice interacting with ATC. The link below contains a video walking you through steps 1-5 above. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/option-to-disable-pilot-voice/309139/21?u=shakerkitty10
  9. Thanks Stoopy! I was able to RNAV the approach. The key was to capture the glide slope from below it...previously I was timing it too close and coming in from above. I really appreciate your help!
  10. Thanks Stoopy, The take away I get from the above is: Arrive at FAF at correct FAF altitude PMS GTN750 is still set to GPS mode Press APR mode on A/P Pretty sure I tried all this, but I did use the 1st GTN to setup and initiate the RNAV approach. I will use the second as you describe above. I know I must be missing something, but while I do see the "GP" show up after pressing APR, I did not see the Yellow Glideslope indicator on the left side of the Attitude indicator. Thank you very much for taking the time to document your process!
  11. I'm not able to capture the RNAV glide slope using the PMS GTN750 either...I have the latest 1.3 installation. I'm not sure of the steps though... With all steps, I choose PROC, then the correct RNAV approach. I load and activate. I tried keeping the PMS 750 on GPS, then use GPS auto pilot. I tried keeping the PMS 750 on GPS, then use the APPR auto pilot. I have not tried the PMS 750 with VLOC In steps 1 & 2 above, I do not see the GLIDE SLOPE indicator. I'm not able to find any information in the 414 manuals, although it is certainly possible, I missed it. Anyone else able to capture an RNAV approach correctly using the PMS 750?
  12. I tried this today with an RNAV approach into Orlando...I could not capture the glide slope. However, I may not know the correct steps when using the PMS750... Any chance you would describe the steps as I'd like to try again...
  13. I have been enjoying the beta 414 for several days now. The interior is very good, and while worn, is very well modeled. I really like adjusting/tweaking the MP, prop speed, and mixture (I have not changed the auto mixture setting). It is very real to fly for me. As such, I'm really glad I'm able to participate in the beta and provide some feedback. I use the Honeycomb Alpha unit and found an issue with the battery and alternator switch. If I switch the battery on in the VC, it will not actually power the plane until I also turn on the Alpha battery switch. So, both have to be ON. I started the plane from cold and dark. I placed both alternator switches ON in the VC. About 5 minutes into my flight, I noticed LOW VOLTAGE from the annunciator...I quickly looked around the cockpit at the fuses, switches, etc., but could not find the reason for the LOW VOLTAGE warning. I decided to move on as I was in the clouds flying IFR. Suddenly, I lost all lights, navigation, radios, etc. I found myself in a tough position with no battery power at all. Long story short, it turns out, I also have to make sure the ALPHA alternator switch is also set...it does not match the VC alternator switch setting. Again, both the VC alternator and the Alpha alternator switch must be on. After landing, restarting the sim (pressing the keyboard HOME button), I made sure the Alpha alternator switch was on, matching both VC alternator switches. All ran well after this.
  14. I'm able to start and fly the airplane. The autopilot altitude holds as well as climbing and descending. The autopilot heading hold works too...but I am not able to get NAV mode to hold the GPS (GNS530). I have to use Heading hold to fly with autopilot.
  15. Just a quick update, MSFS 2020 combined my post with another similar post. My post had 52 votes before they closed it down. The good news is that after combining the threads, the total VOTE count is currently 84. MSFS 2020 does have ATC on their list of top wishes. It is listed as #6 ATC Incorrect Phraseology, which they are currently investigating. It would make sense to add the PILOT VOICE ON/OFF feature during this update. If you have not taken a moment to vote yet, please do! Here is the post if you would like to add your vote: Option to Disable Pilot Voice - Self-Service / Wishlist - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
  16. When closing and reopening the ATC menu, the ATC messages in the window kept scrolling up to the beginning. To read the last message you have to scroll down completely. Also reported in the beta but was not solved.
  17. Extremity Dead Zone and Reactivity are not saved in Controls, Sensitivity. This was identified in the beta but not fixed. If you apply and save, it will work in the current flight. But, when you exit MSFS 2020 and restart, the two settings revert back to default.

  19. I'm sure others will chime in, but basically you assign a yoke button to speak with ATC. When you press this button, you can request clearance, request taxi, request departure (take off), etc. Along the way, you press the button to acknowledge climbs, descents, frequency changes, etc. During the landing phase, you press the button to acknowledge the approach, landing, tower interactions. If you wish, you can also let the first officer handle all communications, frequency changes, etc. Then you just fly. It does work well with default ATC, just be aware there currently is no option to turn off the default co-pilot. So, you will always hear him after you press your button to speak with ATC or if MCE first officer responds with default ATC. If you wish to vote for MSFS 2020 to remove co-pilot voice, take a look at this post and place your vote (upper left VOTE button). 20. Thanks for all your votes. We got it to 52 votes and I have asked that they move that thread to the wish list. We'll see what happens.
