  1. Looks very nice! I'll download the next time I'm on flightsim.to.
  2. If you're in the US, you can purchase the Varjo Aero for 10% off and not go through customs. The site is Adorama and they have a return policy as well. They also have the SteamVR base station 2.0. varjo aero buy or learn at Adorama steamvr base station buy or learn at Adorama
  3. So, if I understand correctly, the basic steps are: 1. Download and install the Oculus APP (on PC or Android Phone?). 2. Purchase and install the Virtual Desktop for Quest 3 (follow instructions in video).
  4. Your system is close to mine...I'm thinking of getting the Quest 3. How are you connected? WiFi or USB? I really don't have a clue as to which software to install, general software settings, and general steps to initiate VR in MSFS 2020. Do you have any suggestions or tutorials to point me in the right direction?
  5. I hope you're joking...as I think BS stands for Black Square... Edit: Never mind...I did not see gunther's post above.
  6. Not sure if this helps, but I found a link to the DC3 AP when using the Duckworth mod:
  7. SU 13 compresses the logbook now. The drawback is that it takes a bit of time to uncompress it. Give it some time and it will come back. Mine usually takes a minute, maybe two and then it populates.
  8. It's too bad...I believe they just had a 'sale' on the upgrade path from the standard to the premium deluxe version. It was way less than 200... Anyway, you should be able to upgrade at about $85 from the ingame marketplace. I did... Because I've already upgraded, I can't see the upgrade price. But, you should be able to see it. Just go to the Market Place and search for upgrade. It should bring them up and you'll see the pricing.
  9. Not sure if this is part of this same update, but I also got an update yesterday evening. It included a patch for KDFW airport, which many people requested. I did taxi a little of the airport and it did appear that the taxiways were fixed. That is, no terrain issues or bumps, etc. I am part of the beta, but it appears everyone is getting this update... EDIT: It looks like the KDFW update is part of the beta. Here is the info from the manifest.json file: "content_type": "SCENERY", "title": "KDFW - DFW International Airport", "manufacturer": "", "creator": "Asobo Studio", "package_version": "0.1.29", "minimum_game_version": "1.34.15", So, it appears you'll need at least version 1.34.15 for the KDFW update.
  10. If he formats the old one, he'll remove the operating system... Just copying over MSFS does not clone the OS. His computer will no longer work as his operating system is now missing... Rereading his original post, he wants to format his old drive...to do this, I recommend cloning his original drive.
  11. I would use the Mfg SSD utility to 'move' the entire drive to the new SSD. It should copy all of the system files, the OS files, along with your MSFS. I had a Samsung drive and used their utility program. They usually refer to is as cloning a drive or a cloning utility.
  12. Well, when I downgraded off of 13, I lost my map. After reinstalling the above files it returned...but I have not gone back to 13 (yet). It does make sense though...I wish you well. Let us know how the latest 13 works...
  13. This also happened to me when I left beta 13... For me, I was able to delete the following folders: fs-base-ui-pages fs-base-ui-vr Once deleted, I started MSFS and it reinstalled those folders. It took a while, but did restore my world map. This post explains a bit more, but I did not have to delete and reinstall all four folders mentioned. Just the two above. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/toolbar-missing-after-exiting-su13-beta/604979/4
  14. Me too...I also got out of the beta. I then deleted my Nvidia shaders...when 1.34.11.0 came out, I deleted my Nvidia shaders again and reinstalled the new beta...I don't know if this is the reason, but I am not experiencing the stutters anymore. In case you want to try, here is a Youtube video to show/explain how to do this: Reduce Stutters in MSFS | NVidia Settings - YouTube
  15. I opted out of the beta and had the toolbar issue. The link above solved it for me.
  16. It is, but I normally fly once a day. So, typically more than 10 hours between flights... Good to know...I'll keep track of the time between usages. Update: I just started another flight in less than 10 hours, MCE did not go through the Sound Settings.
  17. Not a big issue, but I'm trying to figure out why this happens now... I upgraded to MCE version 3.0.52 . Now, every time I start MCE, MCE automatically goes through the sound settings to set it up. I know this happens when you first install the program, but once set up, I don't believe it goes through this every single I start the program... Is this normal?
  18. Here's the directions I followed: Another similar method, without the need to edit anything, is to move the contents of: MS Store: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages Steam: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages to a new directory of choice, e.g. C:\MSFS. Note: These are the two folders within the packages directory that will be moved: Once moved, instead of editing the UserCFG.opt file just run MSFS. The content manager will start, prompting a download of all content. Click on “Browse” instead and using explorer select the new folder where the packages have been moved to, e.g. C:\MSFS. Content manager will detect the location of these packages and continue to the main menu without downloading anything. If MSFS ever needs to be reinstalled, pointing the content manager to the location of this custom folder should prevent the download of all the packages. Please treat this process with care and remember each step taken. If the process doesn’t work for you ensure that you are able to restore everything to the state it was in prior to moving anything. Don’t delete any content without a suitable back up. Following the instructions carefully should not lead to any broken installations. All steps taken here are at your own risk. Note: I cannot confirm that this method will also protect those who are using gamepass. I have heard of cases where this custom folder is also wiped during an un-install. If using gamepass it is a good idea to have a completely separate back up independent of any folders used by or linked to by MSFS- a separate hard drive is recommended. A final note. If you are using any 3rd party applications that need to know the location of your community folder, e.g. applications that install content into your community folder, then you will also need to update those applications with the new path to your moved community folder. NOTE: This came from this post [HOW-TO] Change the installation path of installed packages inc community folder - Microsoft Flight Simulator / Community Guides - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
  19. I installed MCE version 3.0.52. It works just fine...I can request altitude increases and descents without issue now. I did not have to use the older "Simco64_Ldr.exe". Thanks for your support!
  20. I installed MCE version 3.0.50 to work with PF3 version 3.20.0 (latest) and MSFS 1.33.8.0. Prior to this version of MCE, all was working correctly. However, with MCE version 3.0.50, when I request an altitude increase, PF3 does not respond. If I press the H button + 2 button, PF3 does respond by authorizing and increase in altitude (additional 2000 feet). I went back to my prior version of MCE, v 3.0.32 and it works correctly with PF3 and altitude increases. So, it appears MCE version 3.0.50 has an issue with altitude increases working correctly with PF3 version 3.20.0. Thanks!
  21. Thanks Bert...just submitted the request at Carenado Support. We'll see what happens...
  22. Not sure if it exists, but I have not been able to find any suggestions for this...I have the latest version of the Carenado M20 (Mooney). I really like it, but if I have any light crosswind, I find it very hard to keep on the taxi line. I believe the wind keeps pushing on the tail rudder and pushing the nose. I've searched for tire friction mods, etc. in an effort to add contact points for a community folder which contains flight_model.cfg file. I know one does not exist in the official MSFS folder, so I know I need to create a new one for the community folder. Anyway, I cannot find an existing file (flightsim.to) or suggestions to create one... If anyone has any suggestions, I'm willing to give them a try...
  23. I use PF3 and Multi-Crew-Experience. The MCE interfaces my voice with PF3. That way, I have only 1 button to push and speak my ATC commands. MCE is very forgiving with the various ATC phrases as long as I include either Clearance, Ground, Tower, Departure, or Approach and my call sign. MCE is very understanding when it comes to how I say the commands. PF3 can also include the voice ID, so if you decide a particular voice is too robotic, you can remove that voice ID and it is not used. I use this combination all the time now...and it works great!
