  1. Hmm, perhaps you might just have to play around with the null zone and sensitivity settings within FSX? It's strange that they work fine in FS9. See what happens I guess.
  2. I'm just asking that if you disconnect the joystick and use the keyboard for throttle just as a test, do the throttles move around? I understand that the throttle is connected to your joystick, but if the throttles jump around while the joystick is disconnected, then it's a problem within FSX. If they only jump around when the joystick is connected, then it is more likely a hardware problem. I'm assuming you've tried calibrating the joystick too?
  3. I had that same thing happen with my Saitek throttle. The throttles in the VC would begin moving on their own to random settings. It was impossible to fly an Airbus because it would move the throttles and I couldn't engage that specific section (I think it's CL on the quadrant?) When you disconnect the joystick and use the throttle for the throttles does it jump around?
  4. Are you using a Saitek throttle quadrant? If so the potentiometers are probably dirty and need to be cleaned for a better operation.

  6. Hi, I just wanted to know what you guys do to simulate RF legs in the NGX, if you fly RNP approaches with RF legs. I'm fairly new to the way RNP approaches with RF legs/RNP approaches in general work, and would like to know what some of you do to fly that RF leg realistically, considering that RF legs aren't supported in the NGX. Since I mainly fly routes for WestJet in FSX and I found where I can get the RNP approach charts for applicable airports (fltplan.com and then in the RCAP section), I enter the waypoints manually and then handfly the legs that have larger arcs implemented in them. Otherwise I will let the aircraft just do it's thing and fly the approach the way it likes up until the FAF. I did find though, at airports such as YLW where the arc is tighter I find the NGX flies a pretty decent curve. Cheers, Mike

  8. I would and do use FSrecorder. I downloaded the version (I forget which one) which has a built in rendering version. You record your flight leg or whatever you're recording, then you can render the clip at a desired framerate. Only downside is that due to the rendering process, there is no sound. But you can always use fraps to record the sound, or import real world sound clips.

  11. Okay, so I made a blendmask, but when trying to compile the .bgl, it flashes the little black screen and doesn't start compiling. Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

  15. Hi guys, I recently began creating a photo scenery for the Gimli Airport and industrial park, in Manitoba Canada as a starting point for designing scenery. I used Sbuilder X to create the photo scenery and ADE to edit the airport building locations and runways. I imported the scenery into FSX without any trouble after I got a friend to look over the .inf of the scenery. Then I went into Photoshop and created a blend mask where I used a feathered brush around the perimeter of the airport and used a hard brush to colour in the rest of the blend mask. I made the image into a grey scale as told by a friend, and well, when I imported it into FSX, the entire photo scenery was blended in with the default terrain. Along with this, some red pixels were in the photo real as well. I'm not sure where I went wrong to make the entire photo real blend in or for the red pixels to appear in some areas. Help would be greatly appreciated! I'll probably be back in regards to making night and seasonal textures as well I will post some pictures when I get back from school so there's a visual to the scenery. Thanks, Mike Ignagni
