Throttle/Engine Surge When Expecting Idling & Low Revs
Hmm, perhaps you might just have to play around with the null zone and sensitivity settings within FSX? It's strange that they work fine in FS9. See what happens I guess.

Throttle/Engine Surge When Expecting Idling & Low Revs
I'm just asking that if you disconnect the joystick and use the keyboard for throttle just as a test, do the throttles move around? I understand that the throttle is connected to your joystick, but if the throttles jump around while the joystick is disconnected, then it's a problem within FSX. If they only jump around when the joystick is connected, then it is more likely a hardware problem. I'm assuming you've tried calibrating the joystick too?

Throttle/Engine Surge When Expecting Idling & Low Revs
I had that same thing happen with my Saitek throttle. The throttles in the VC would begin moving on their own to random settings. It was impossible to fly an Airbus because it would move the throttles and I couldn't engage that specific section (I think it's CL on the quadrant?) When you disconnect the joystick and use the throttle for the throttles does it jump around?

Are you using a Saitek throttle quadrant? If so the potentiometers are probably dirty and need to be cleaned for a better operation.

How do you simulate RF legs in NGX?
This was an accidental repost, I'm not sure how to delete this post so a moderator can delete this one.

How do you simulate RF legs in NGX?
Hi, I just wanted to know what you guys do to simulate RF legs in the NGX, if you fly RNP approaches with RF legs. I'm fairly new to the way RNP approaches with RF legs/RNP approaches in general work, and would like to know what some of you do to fly that RF leg realistically, considering that RF legs aren't supported in the NGX. Since I mainly fly routes for WestJet in FSX and I found where I can get the RNP approach charts for applicable airports (fltplan.com and then in the RCAP section), I enter the waypoints manually and then handfly the legs that have larger arcs implemented in them. Otherwise I will let the aircraft just do it's thing and fly the approach the way it likes up until the FAF. I did find though, at airports such as YLW where the arc is tighter I find the NGX flies a pretty decent curve. Cheers, Mike

best flight sim video recorder?
I would and do use FSrecorder. I downloaded the version (I forget which one) which has a built in rendering version. You record your flight leg or whatever you're recording, then you can render the clip at a desired framerate. Only downside is that due to the rendering process, there is no sound. But you can always use fraps to record the sound, or import real world sound clips.

Blend mask and red on texture problems
Whoops, I mixed up the wording Ya, because the default landclass is showing through the photoreal, but I'll try out a couple things in Photoshop. Do I make the blend mask black, make the layer a greyscale, and then compile the background and blendmask together? Blend mask and red on texture problems
Hi guys, I recently began creating a photo scenery for the Gimli Airport and industrial park, in Manitoba Canada as a starting point for designing scenery. I used Sbuilder X to create the photo scenery and ADE to edit the airport building locations and runways. I imported the scenery into FSX without any trouble after I got a friend to look over the .inf of the scenery. Then I went into Photoshop and created a blend mask where I used a feathered brush around the perimeter of the airport and used a hard brush to colour in the rest of the blend mask. I made the image into a grey scale as told by a friend, and well, when I imported it into FSX, the entire photo scenery was blended in with the default terrain. Along with this, some red pixels were in the photo real as well. I'm not sure where I went wrong to make the entire photo real blend in or for the red pixels to appear in some areas. Help would be greatly appreciated! I'll probably be back in regards to making night and seasonal textures as well I will post some pictures when I get back from school so there's a visual to the scenery. Thanks, Mike Ignagni

Sttttutering
I heard that if you turn up your settings, the Titan will start to work harder and actually preforms better. You probably know way more than I do on all of this but perhaps that might actually work. Although you did say you were flying at YVR and everything, so I'm kind of stumped as well. Have you played around with inspector settings?

NEW pc for FSX
ywgspotter replied to onerepublic's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcThis setup should be alright for FSX. I would stick with Windows 7 because I have heard of many problems related to FSX and Windows 8. Just a quick note, you can change the desktop layout back to the classic version. So it is more or less what we are used to from a Windows OS.

Important airports without payware
CYYZ, but I think that the rumor is that Fly Tampa is planning on developing it or something in that area if you look at the map. If FT decided to do YYZ, CYYC should be done by someone, WestJet is based out of there and it is a major hub for Air Canada. CYWG would be nice, but at this point, the only airlines I know of that fly there on a daily basis are some regional airlines, Perimeter Aviation, WJA and ACA, plus all the cargo airlines that go there.

When I get the T7, my next Addon is . . .
1. Enigma 737 Classic 2. Carenado B1900D 3. Majestic Q400 4. PMDG 747 V2 5. The Metroliner from some developer I forget the name of.

FSX - soo much fun
Very cool setup! Great thing to do especially if you can't get into the airline industry because of age or medical issues. It may not be the same feeling, but it gives one a sense of what really goes on in there when we go on a flight to visit family or for vacation!

PMDG 737NGX question(s)
Martin is correct, for the VNAV to descend at the T/D (top of descent) you have to set the altitude in your MCP lower than your cruising altitude. And just like everyone else I agree, the tutorial flights are great for learning! I still have to do the second one -Mike

So, whats being developed for FSX thats got you interested?
I can't for that Metroliner to be developed. My hometown airlines have ton's of Metroliners.

Is my GPU bottlenecking my performance?
ywgspotter replied to ywgspotter's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcHmm, I'll have to start saving some money now.
