  1. Hello I'm experiencing the exact same issue. There seems to be some form of memory leak over the same part of Canada that you have marked on the globe. I'm also using the same addons as you. I do have a 5960X with HT enabled, but I see no real reason to disable this, considering the CPU is used for other things that require HT. I did a flight last week from LHR to LAX and I noticed the memory peak. I had about 8% VAS remaining. As I got closer to LAX, the VAS reduced back down to, leaving me with 12% remaining. It went back up to having 10% remaining on landing, which was fine. On the flight I did last night, from SFO to LHR, the memory leak appeared again, but this time the VAS did not reduce, resulting in an OOM just before turning onto final. Any luck with finding a way around this? Hopefully it is fixed, because this is annoying. Only thing I can think to do is restart the sim at TOD, so I have a fresh amount of VAS for landing.
  2. My LOD Radius is default so this shouldn't be causing the issues :(
  3. Thanks, I have tried this. I started off, with the PMDG 777, FTX Global + Vector, T2G KMCO... 1.5-1.3GB remaining on VAS usage. I took off, circled and landed with 0.6GB remaining on VAS. Not bad, but what happens when I do a full flight, between two airports. Whenever I look at KMCO, my reamining VAS usage drops a considerable amount.
  4. I am using FTX Global + Vector with FSGlobal 2010. I have my TML set to 1024. My REX4 settings are also 1024. My autogen is just 'Dense'.
  5. Yes, I only have my Dep and Arr airports active in my scenery library. The spike takes place mostly during approach. As I get closer on finals, the VAS explodes and gets very close to OOM, most of time resulting in a OOM. Yes I have FSUIPC. It beeps at me once I am almost out of available memory, which happens everytime.
  6. My mistake, I meant to type 4.0gb. Process Explorer monitors FSX. Once it gets ever so slightly above 4.0GB, it will crash, with a message advising it is out of memory. Other applications on my PC have no affect on FSX's VAS usage. I've just tested this.
  7. My settings can't really get much lower. I also run REX 4, ASN, FTX Global etc.
  8. Hello I have recently bought Taxi2gate's KMCO addon and the VAS usage is insane! I fly the PMDG 777 and when ever I approach the airport, my VAS is around 3.8-4.9gb. This does not happen at any other airport. If I fly away from the airport, the VAS drops to 3.0gb. So something is happening with this scenery. Any ideas? The airport is currently unusable :( Thanks in advance. Matthew
  9. Hello I have FSX on Windows 7 X64 with REX4. When I fly from or land at default FSX airports, and it's raining, I get the lovely soaked wet runway texture loaded from REX. However, when I fly from any third party addon, such as UK2000 scenery, the wet runway textures do not appear. When it is raining, the entire airport ground is dry. Any ideas? FSX is installed on a separate hard drive, outside of the Program files folder. Thanks in advance. Matthew
  10. Hello I am have some issues with my Saitek Cyborg X. I am currently using Windows 8.1 (which I hate). I have an issue - if I minimise my flight sim, maybe to check the weather or activate SmartCARS (when I'm flying for a VA), my controls will no longer work (this is when using default FSX settings - not FSUIPC). I know my controller is still working because I can still change view, which is controlled by EZCA. So for some reason, FSX seems to lose connectivity to my controller. So I'm trying to set my controls using FSUIPC. I have a registered version, but for whatever reason, it will not register any buttons etc. I press a button on my controller but FSUIPC doesn't seems to recognise it. Any ideas? Thanks Matthew
  11. Hello I'm looking for some information regarding the Noise Abatement Procedure. I often take off from Gatwick and I am aware there is a NAP, however I'm not sure where the information regarding this is on the chart and where to obtain the correct information so that I take off using the rules of the airport. Can anyone explain to me the process and how I know I'm using the correct take off settings etc? Thanks Matthew
  12. I'm pretty sure it is working from my actual GPU yeh. Is there any way to actually check or test this?
  13. Is there any help on this? Still trying to solve my problem :(
  14. Thanks for your help! I will take a look into anti-aliasing. In regards to several addons at once, in the above pictures the ground textures are not correctly working because the files have been moved (due to hard drive issue previous) and I have not re-installed that element of the sim. The airport scenery shouldn't have anything to clash with it so I'm hoping it's just an anti aliasing issue. Hello, Thanks for your comment! After checking my FSX settings, the filtering is already set to Blinear. Any other ideas? Thanks again The following link is the GPU I have. http://rog.asus.com/graphics-card/matrix/matrix-hd7970-p-3gd5/ Attached are some shots I just took now of the PMDG 737. Same issue by the looks of it. The PMDG 737 looks amazing on my brothers MacBook Pro running Windows in Boot Camp. The spec of that machine is noway near the spec of my PC.
  15. Hello, I am trying to make my FSX look visually stunning but I seem to be having loads of problems. Not only does my PMDG 747 look bad, but so does the airport and scenery around it. The addons I currently have (please note that in the images attached, REX, GEX & UTX are not working correctly): PMDG 747-400 plus a high resolution Livery (not the standard PMDG Downloads) Real Envirnment Extreme Ground Envirnment Extreme Ultimate Terrain Extreme UK2000 Heathrow V2 Now, to run all of this is what I call my beast of a PC. Below are the specs. The machine is custom built and 'went into service' earlier this year. Intel Core i7-3770K - 3.50GHz 32GB Ram (I do extreme media rendering hence the large amount of Ram) ASUS Maximus V Extreme Motherboard ATI Graphics Card - Asus Variation - MATRIX-HD7970-P-3GD5 (3GB) 250GB SSD for the OS (FSX currently installed here) 2x 2TB Western Digital drives in Raid 0 for Storage. Currently running Windows 8 x64 I just don't understand why I can't get the best out of FSX. Every other game I play displays perfectly. Am I missing something here? Thanks for the help! Matthew
