  1. None of my business, but why keep asking instead of doing some search? http://forum.avsim.net/topic/432570-ice-ai-traffic-group/ And I hope this topic remains Flytampa's Copenhagen one.
  2. Check this http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Method+of+Operation
  3. To be honest I had to give up on flying to EKCH. In spite of reducing all possible options given in the Configurator, I just ended up with OOMs. Something I am not experiencing with other addons like their OMDB and even mega airports like EGLL, EDDF, EHAM, LTBA, KLAX or KORD. Everything is pretty much optimized on my system and EKCH is the solely only addon airport I 'hangared'. The only similar problem I remember was with FSDG Thessaloniki which I finally stopped flying to. Maybe the surrounding area with the detailed city and custom forests is the culprit for the performance problems. Much as I love detailed scenery on approach, I would gladly turn it off to be able to use the airport at all. So I hope there will finally be a version letting people choose the airport alone. Something tells me it would add a lot of VAS lost on rendering the area. Never mind - absolutely no bashing intended on my side and I still value FlyTampa (I would like to buy YSSY). Just sharing my personal experience with Fly Copenhagen for fellow simmers to see two sides of the story.
  4. As a side note (as I do not have the BBS bus): Aerosoft is already woring on the A330, so there is very high probability it will be out next year (which, all in all, starts in less than two months). As for the Aerosoft A340, it is not planned at all. Though people change their minds, so who knows....
  5. EDIT: VA Interface Lite version 2.6.20 is already available at the download section: http://www.virtualavionics.com.br/downloads.php I have tested it and it is working. Enjoy your A320 A321 flights!
  6. EDIT: let me answer my own question. I used the regular email contact form at Virtual Avionics and already got a reply, most interesting part of which is: 'We are working on updating VAInterface to support the new A320 and expect to release it no later than the this week's end' Once again I am full of admiration for the way Virtual Avionics treat their customers.
  7. Looks like the Virtual CDU is not working with Aerosoft's latest A320/A321. Can anyone confirm? I tried to contact VA support but their support ticket button is not working for me today.
  8. Do you mean the ability to move jetways with Crtl+J? They have been offering it for quite a long time now: in LOWW, OMDB and EKCH.
  9. Wow, I have no words to describe how happy I am! Not only is a top notch Kastrup released, but it's FlyTampa! I know where I am flying tonight (and on many days to come).
  10. No worries, Rick, and thanks for your words. I would still like to share this file (I've got a second corrected version now by the way). It's just the place I uploaded it to that seems to be causing trouble. Two reports of problems are enough not to want more. The initial link on my request got removed by a mod and when I get some better uploading recommendations I will gladly reupload once there is some interest.
  11. No, it's a pdf. At least I made it like that. OK, it was not my intention to cause any trouble to any simmer. Since I cannot edit the first post anymore, I would like to ask a moderator to clear out the link for me. Or better the whole thread, please. Thanks in advance.
  12. Don't install anything. Just download (without any managers* such websites may want to offer) or open and save the file (it's just a pdf). * Uncheck the 'Use our download manager and get recommended downloads' option. I have tested it by downloading (open and save) the file myself and saw no problem or alert (I'm using MSE). If you can recommend any other (really) free and save file hosting website and/or attaching files here at t he forums is possible, just let me know.
  13. Hi, captains! First of all I would like to thank Bryan and his team for making another great addon. I am after my first flight (KAL567 B77F LOWW-LFSB) with the very latest FS2Crew product and... wow! Also thanks for the 5 euro coupon. Much appreciated! The only problem I had was my wrong assumption I would know how to answer my F/O just based on my NGX and AS A32X experience. This one is different though. So I have just made for myself a one-page pdf with captain's proper reactions to checklist items. Then I thought I would make it available for others - maybe someone will find it useful too. I am attaching the link here (I don't know if attaching files to posts is possible at AVSIM forums) .
  14. Mark, maybe you happen to have 'C' assigned to another action, e.g. in the PMDG assignments?
  15. Bryan, if you've got to be teasing us, at least show some kind of little teaser. A screensot or a little tiny piece of video? :Big Grin:
  16. I see no significant difference in performance (FPS/VAS) between those two. Both are heavy for me but since this is the London area I do not expect much. I switched from UK2000 to Sim-Wings since the latter one is newer/fresher and I enjoy its visuals more. But, let me say it again, measurng FPS and VAS in both I could not see any breakthrough. And yes, when I land there in a complex VC, with heavy ASN weather, lots of AI and all the goodies I use, I too sometimes see single (FPS) digits. But it's my style of simming, so I will live with it.
  17. I had used the UK2000 version since it came out and then switched to Sim-Wings (Aerosoft) version once it was released. Performance-wise they are, in my reception, similar, which means acceptable with some compromises. Since they are both depictions of Heathrow, Europe's largest airport lying in the London area (full of airports, traffic, buildings, etc), it is not possible to get very good performance, at least on an average computer. Don't expect huge changes in FPS/VAS after switching from one to another. Visually I value the Sim-Wings version more. It is newer and fresher and, in my view, has better textures. Additionally there is quite a lot happening behind the airport's fences. However the SW version tends to have some problems displaying particular ground texture tiles, which first show as black and then pop up correctly. That probably is due to my not-top-notch rig and the above mentioned heaviness of the area to display. All in all I prefer the Sim-Wings version, though I wouldn't say it leaves the UK2000 one very far behind.
  18. A-w-e-s-o-m-e screenshots (and it's from an FSX user)! As for the latter, I guess I'll be inviting mine for a romantic dinner tomorrow. :He He:
  19. The new VA Interface 2.6.17 is already available on the VA website. And the best news: it is working! I didn't get an email notification this time, so I discovered it after my flight. Tomorrow there is going to be a CDU Sunday afternoon, lol.
  20. Thanks for your link, Mas. I am surprised reading what Emanuel wrote. Looks like there is some kind of communication problem on the Virtual Avionics side. Too bad. Let's hope the problem is solved soon. I've so far had two flights after the SP1 update and I am alreading missing my CDU.
  21. Some really great news! Whatever iFly make, it is going to be awesome.
  22. Actually there will be a week delay: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/86711-plans/?p=623114
  23. It is a fantastic simulation. One of the best ever MFS aircraft addon packs (seeing what it offers for its very reasonable price). Most systems are simulated (all you'd need as an armchair pilot, I would say). No failures - if you care (I never do). Plus it contains a lot of neat features, like active cabin crew and co-pilots (they will read checklists and do some tasks). There is a preset view panel for quick access if you wish to use it. Now the bus also has a working weather radar and terrain display. The right MCDU plays a role of the in-sim manager. You can load fuel/pax/cargo from it directly (like in PMDG 777). You can control the doors, ground connections, pushback and a lot more. There's also a great Fuel Planner you can use before flight to calculate the necessary loads and prepare a loadsheet. You can even print it with your real printer while in the cockpit. It is very well balanced in terms of performance (I will safely land it where NGX or 777 will give me OOMs). Plus there are extra goodies available like Virtual Avionics CDU (if you want an MCDU on your tablet - awesome!) and FS2Cew. There is a very dedicated international team behind it, listening to customers and releasing fixes frequently. The model is beautiful and the virtual cockpit is eye-catching (I personally love the RW airbus cockpit design very much). You will find tones of quality liveries for it - hard not to find something I would say, lol. Once again: this is a standard procedures captain simulation (and this is clearly stated in the description). If you do like to fly as F/O and/or like to train failures - that may not the product you are looking for. But if your simming is a standard procedure captain flying (as it is for me 100% of time), it is hard to regret the purchase. I can't say how realistically it flies, as I am not a real world A32X pilot (I haven't even been at its flightdeck). But there are several of them in the team testing and improving it all the time. And I've read they are satisfied. All in all I love it! PS The new A320/A321 should be out somewhere between November 5 and 10.
  24. Unfortunately after installing the latest official A318/319 version 1.10/SP1, the virtual CDU seems to have stopped working again. Aaargh, I wish there was some kind of professional communication between Aerosoft and Virtual Avionics. Time to wait for another patch...
  25. Aerosoft airbus requires a joystick for surface controls. It is written not only in the manual but even in the product description. BTW Since it has nothing to do with FS2Crew, next time think of writing here for a better chance of getting support: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/forum/517-aerosoft-airbus-x-a320321-formerly-airbus-x-extended/
