  1. In sim is set to low since I've always found realistic to be anything but that.
  2. Maybe it is correct for the few flights I've had so far, but ASFS is constantly injecting either Light (CAT) or Moderate (CAT) when looking at Debug window, from takeoff all the way up to FL380. I've had to dial the Turbulence Effect Scale and FSRealistic turbulence settings down quite a bit to keep the plane from constantly bouncing. I love that we now have realistic feeling turbulence but just want to make sure ASFS is behaving properly by constantly injecting CAT. Currently at FL380 over Atlanta heading to KDFW and ASFS is injecting light to moderate CAT constantly.
  3. I'm interested to see how these World Hub updates turn out. If anything like XP's WED we should see some really nice improvement to default layouts.
  4. Something is different because I probably have close to 2000 hours in the PMDG planes in MSFS I could immediately tell a difference. Is the skidding completely eliminated, no, but it doesn't seem to start skidding near as fast prior to this beta. I just tried a 360 on a runway at 10 knots and it was possible where that would be a complete struggle prior to beta.
  5. I can turn the PMDG planes more than 10 degrees without having to be taxiing less than 2 knots...hurray!
  6. Ya just know that the license is only for the route, not the aircraft. You could fly a 172 if you wanted. But to get a Southwest route you have to have a 737 license for obvious reasons.
  7. And say you like Southwest’s routes, you could buy the 737 license, join Southwest and just use the Fenix.
  8. Speaking of "gamers" I had been playing Arma II and Dayz Mod flying helicopters all over Chernarus having a blast and decided I wanted to get into helicopters more. I bought Take on Helicopters which was also developed by Bohemia Interactive and was having fun but decided it was too gamey. Did a little research at the time, bought XP10 and haven't looked back.
  9. Asobo are going to need to fix the VRAM issues in the current DX12 beta before I see 20 or 30 series card owners (excluding 3090) jumping into this full on. I guess if you are running 1080 or even 1440 then the VRAM issues might not be so prevalent. By default most 20 and 30 series card owners have less VRAM than 40 series owners and will therefore have more issues with DX12 in MSFS than they will have with this mod or FSR3 when officially supported. In 4k with a 3080ti 12GB I have to dial settings down quite a bit due to VRAM exceedance with DX12. Sure a locked 60 FPS is great but if I dialed those same settings down in DX11 I'm knocking on the 60 FPS door anyway. Maybe if you have a monitor that supports >60hz and you want every possible frame, then DX12 reduced settings with FSR3 might be a tradeoff you would take. I know in XP12 I have zero VRAM issues with Vulcan in 4k and they still plan on optimizing VRAM usage further in the next release. I wish Asobo would focus on that a little more.
  10. I had to turn V-Sync on in NCP to eliminate tearing with a 60hz Free-Sync monitor.
  11. You are supposed to set Frame Generation and not FSR 2. That's your issue.
  12. If you have a 10 or 12 GB 3080 you might have to go a notch down on texture resolution using DX12. It is a VRAM hog in MSFS in my experience.
  13. Yes, exact same for me...just a different custom install location. I put the files in that content folder and it works.
  14. Sorry I have the store version...someone else will need to chime in.
  15. If on Windows 11 look for "Show More Options" after you right click.
