  1. Hello First sorry for my bad english ! I got a little Problem with my PMDG´s for FSX. (737 and 777) At the time i try to build a homecockpit and in this way i used FSUIPC Logging Monitor to check the Commands i sent to FSX.... I see that there is a strange action all the time.... When i load a PMDG plane the FSUIPC Logging file for "Reads" show me that "something" alway read the offset 7B91. Thats a Offset for the Squawkbox Status. On FSY StandardPlanes like cessna or 737Standard theres no Read on 7b91 At first i thought thats done by a external Addon . (Google says for example "Squwakbox" uses this to comunicate with online Networks). BUT I dont use any Addon like this. Second i thought it´s a bug from a uninstalled Addon maby i used long time ago. Then i cleard my System completly and installed the Win7OS, FSX and PMDG new..... But then the "Problem" still existing. Also i think its a feature from PMDG itself. Please tell me if you know about it and maby tell me how i can Stop this Reading if posible. Thank You !
  2. I Think about this thing again..... It´s understandable that PMDG don´t want to make different files for there products. But there are Patches and Servicepacks already existing for the older planes. It should be no big problem to insert a modifyed FMC into the old planes by another SP.. Now I need to say i´m not a Computer Freak and have no good information about programming. But it looks like it is not a so big problem to insert that functions into the existing programm. The Speed issue looks verry easy. The FMC already can work with "at or above/below commands in altitudes (By SID/STAR) . Secundary the FMC can work with Above/below Speedcommands if i put it manualy into the LEG page. For an amateur like me it looks like a small modification to combine this two things ! The other project with the double freq looks even not difficult. What will happen if you rename the second Runway Entry in a fictional runway like 28A. Then the second Aproach uses not 28 (with the fixed Navaid). It use the fictional 28A with the other Navaid ! The Only work what PMDG have to do is now to make the fictional Runway unvisible in the FMC. The Runway 28A need to be shown in the PERF Page as 28. AND In the Runwaylist at DEP/APR the Entry for 28 should shown All Aproaches for 28 and the fictional 28A all in one. Again. As a Computer Amateur maby it looks easyer like it is in reality. But perhaps this is a good Way to fix that Problems with less expense.
  3. Hi again. At first thank you for youre support ! I have to underline that i think the PMDG Planes are the BEST products that can buyed for the FSX. I don´t want to decry youre work and youre product ! I´m hopefull that the next PMDG Planes (or servicepacks for the existing ones) include a FMC that support the things suscribe above. I was just a little bit angry cause.... I read in the Navigraph Support forum that the IFLY products support the Speed Parameters and Support Dual Freq. That was strange to me that a poor and not so good SIM like the IFly supoort something that the PMDG is not working with. But staying cool.... I´m allready happy with my PMDG Boeings ! Have a nice Day !!!
  4. Sorry. may my first Posting was a little confusing because my bad english :-) I will try to specify...... Thats what i mean. I called the LOC Y mistakenly as a ILS but i mean the LOC. *** When i choose a aproache in the FMC for Runway 28 i got this options ILS & LOC-Y.... But in both ways the FMC gives me the Frequency 111.75 I think the same will happend if there are 2 ILS for a runway (like on 07L in EDDF Frankfurth Intl.) But in this case most peaple don´t Realize it cause the "wrong" ILS works fine too. In EDDN i found this "Bug" because theres only a LOC in the decided ILS Aproach and without glidescope i see there is something wrong ! The question is already the same..... Is it correct that the PMDG FMC only understand ONE Frequeny per Runway and can´t handle a Situation like i suscribe above ??
  5. Hello Guys. First sorry for my bad english. Hope you understand and can help ! Today i made a Trip to Nürnberg/Germany (EDDN) My Scenery is up to date and include the ILS INUW 109.10 and the LOCY INUY 111.75 Also there are TWO ILS for Runway 28 !! Problem: The FMC shows me the Frequency 111.75 for BOTH Aproaches (ILS28 and LOCY28) If i understand the Navigraph Support Forum correct then the Problem is in the PMDG Software. Is it right that PMDG FMC´s are not be able to work with TWO ILS for ONE Runway ??? By the Way. I Know that i can change the Frequence by myself ( in the 777 too by the FMC Manual entry) My question is just for basic information why that not work corect. Another OffTopic thing..... While another Bugreport from me to Navigraph they told me about an "BUG" in the PMDG FMC. There is apparently no way to told the PMDG FMC the command " Speed xxx kn at or below / above" with the STARS (A Manualy entry work but NOT in SID/STAR) In this way my question. Do you think in a future Servicepack or in a new Addon you advance the FMC to work with this commands too ?? I got the PMDG 737ng and the 777 and think that are the absolutly best Planes that i ever used in the FSX. But i´m a little bit sad, that this two things work in other crappy Addons but NOT in the PMDG !
  6. Hello. First sorry for bad English !! I came to this Thread cause i got nearly the same Problem like Oliver today.... On an Aproach in EDDK i get on the ILS 32R und while the Approach it changes to the Nörvenich ETNN - ILS. I make the Navdata update from the Link above (i did it some months ago already) and get the AIRAC 15-06 files. Then i checked the Data in this tool for both Airports. Everything was fine. cologne now was on 111.10. BUT: back in the FSX EDDK was again on 109.7 and collide with the other ILS. Then i Use the Debug Tool from the Naviad Update Page and find the Problem!!!! My Trafic Addon "Mytraffic 2010" builds for every supported Airprot an own BGL File. This files include a ILS Frequence ( I dont know that before. Thought thats only used for Parking Positions). AND this BGL Files are more Prior then the defaulft FSX BGL´s. Also i delete the BGL from MyTraffic.... And than Everything works fine ! May Oliver got the same kind of Problem! Search for EDDK in the FSX folder and check all BGL Hits !!
  7. @ KevinH Thanks for that info. The 777 is my second Product of PMDG (i already got the 737NGX) . I´m verry impressed about the technical deep simulation. Just wondering that this precedure is not simulated. But no Problem. May its a idea for the next Products to enter a smal info in the manuals what elements are NOT simulated. that prevents users for houres of testing. And about the quoted Thread..... I Agree. the System isn´t a failure. And if the Pilot not do lots of mistakes in a row that will not happend. I´m not a real Pilot and my perpective is from a amteur. But i think the problem is a missing Warning. In HOLD mode there is just a illuminated Green Spot in the PFD that looks like SPD or THR. There is no Aural warning when get into HOLD or a Yellow Warning in the EICAS for example. May it will prevent problems if there will be a Acustic Warning like "No Throttle - No Trhottle" when you are in Hold mode and Speed is more than 20kn under the Speedbug for example. But final.... In Millions of Miles flown by the Trippel7 theres only one time happend. Thats a argument too.

Update: After a few hours of google searches i find a interesting thing ( Not shure if i allowed to link a other board webside here If yes please tell me then i put in the url ) they wrote that in a real 777 the pilot can get into a HOLD Mode when he pull the Thrustleaver "against" the servos for maby 2 Seconds. If this is corect i understand now the Situation, Is this in the PMDG possible too ? If i Spam the F1 Button to get the thrust in IDLE while the AT will speed up it should be the same procedure. BUT The Hold Mode not come alive. By the Way. I´m realy deeply shocked about the Posting from this Guy who explane it on the other Board. It´s timed to 2008 FIVE Years bevore the crash.... He says : What a foreboding !
  9. Hello. Today i try to replay the Asiana214 Crash of San Francisco in my FSX with the PMDG 777 . I Know there are some Threads about this topic but non anwserd my question and i don´t want to refresh a years old topic. I Used that video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MFPSfGoT1U to rebuild the situation.... My Problem: I Make more than 20 Trys but i NEVER becom a "Hold" Mode of the AT. After more trys in other conditions i realise that the HOLD Mode only comes if i make a Descent by the FLCH. For Example i´m on 10.000 Feet. Make a Target Alt of 6000 in the MCP and then push FLCH. After that i´m able to activate HOLD when i Pull the Throttle manualy to IDLE. BUT: If i reach the Target Altitude the throttle mode switches Automatic from HOLD to SPD. If i understand the Intruductions and my tests correct then a HOLD Mode only eneamble when i make a DESCENT with FLCH. NEVER on a Climb. At this point i can´t understand that Video. The Pilot push the FLCH Button while a higher Target ALT is setted. The Plane started to climb. He Disable the AP. In these Situation its not possible to get into HOLD Mode i think. The Only way i can Reproduce the Situation is to set Target ALT to "0" Zero. BUT: In the Video the Target ALT is already 3000 till the crash. Can you tell me please.... Did i make something wrong ?? Is the Video Wrong ??? Or is the PMDG777 not simulated that system like in the Real Plane ??? Thank you !
  10. Hello Guys. this is my First posting on Avsim cause my English is not he best. Hope you Understand me and can maby help ! Situation: I Fly the PMDG 777-200LR and use ActiveSykyNext. Alson i use the Wind Uplink Function. I Want to make Long Turns from Europe to the USA for example EDDM Munich - KJFK Kennedy. But i need to skip a liitle bit time with the Time Compression cause my reallife is bussy and i cant seat 10 Houres on my Computer.... Also i need some Information how ASN Wind data in the FMC from PMDG 777 works when i do Time Compression 4x . 1.) I Read that ASN gives Wind data for Far away Waypoints NOT in form of the actual wind at the moment of making the Flightplan. ASN makes a kind of Forecast with help of the loadet Flightplan in ANS and my proxied Cruisespeed and calculate when i´m ETA on the Woyypoint. IS THAT CORRECT ??? 2.) When I use Time Compression its maby not important if the Winds are forcasted or live. I will reach the Waypoint not at the correct Realtime. Also the Wind-data is in both ways not corect. I decidet to fix that Problem and looking forward to make a "Reqest wind Data" from time to time. (Maby every 30 Minutes Realtime or 2 Houre of Sim-Time with 4x Timecompression) Ah that point my second Question: Does ASN know where i´m located at the moment of a new Data Reques?? Or does ASN just calculate the time since my last request and think i´m on the Position who i where without time Compression. 3) At last. What do you guys think is the best way to use the Wind forecast Uplink from ASN/PMDG with working with time Compression while long journeys. Is my opinion with a update by the mfc avery 30 Minutes a good idea or ist it not possible to make flights with time Compression. Thank You !
