  1. I'm quite happy to read the quite favorable review of your newly available Cessna 414! One of my favorites of yours for a prior version of Flight Simulator was its turboprop cousin. I'll hold out hope for a MSFS 2020 edition that's as impressive as your new 414. Keep it up!
  2. I'll concur with Bob. Since you're trying to save the setting in edit mode in studio, seeing it done step-by-step may be the best way forward.
  3. Forgive my lack of insight, but are you using studio in editing mode (constant pinging while in the studio screen) or editing a file directly? It may be overwriting your edit with your saved settings.
  4. The point remains that obsolescence in commercial software packages is less often a matter of technical limitations than business requirements that aren't the users', who should feel no pressure to discard software that's suitable to purpose.
  5. An operating system is not like hardware. (I'm in IT.) It's not mandatory to swap it out -- and charge for a new version -- rather than update it with a service pack or make available additional optional functionality unless there's a fundamental underlying architectural change (like 32 bit to 64 bit). The only reason for Windows 8.x or 10 rather than Windows 7.1, et cetera, is the consumer revenue stream. Corporate users will have support contracts regardless. Most often "new" making "old" obsolete is a business decision, since bringing old up to newer capabilities generates no income.
  6. Yes! I'm still loving the 441 and have been waiting impatiently for the MU-2. I'll definitely be flying it this week!
  7. Thanks! I did search, but obviously not well enough.
  8. I'm back in after ten years out -- coming from FS9 -- since seeing FSX available on Steam. Many add-ons have been been added in short order bringing the visuals and aircraft systems detail up to snuff. I'm *very* happy with the performance of FSX:SE. That said, an "offline" mode would be great as it won't start if there's no Internet access and can't contact Steam. Also, a way to get the SDK without purchasing a boxed edition would be cherry. There's this one airport that's otherwise *just right* that has some blurry photoreal by the GA parking that just *has* to go!
