How do you see your keyboard/controls if you have VR on your head?

Hi All, Fantastic DA42 product from Alabeo. I am having trouble with one thing, though. Whenever I input an entire flight plan into the G1000 (multiple VORs/FIXs) the autpilot will not engage properly. It will start to bank violently side-to-side when HDG or NAV become selected, and fail to capture either HDG or NAV. This isn't an issue when I have only one waypoint direct, it engages/follows AP like a dream - only when I have multiple waypoints strung together does it act erratic. Has anyone had this issue before (In any G1000 aircraft)? Or know how to possibly remedy it? I've just recently purchased the aircraft from Alabeo, and I'm running P3D V3. How does ASCA compare to softclouds from a performance standpoint? The single most detrimental thing to my FPS is when there is heavy cloud cover. I would love to get that minimized.

Bert, thanks for the response. By re-activation I assume you mean, checking/unchecking the given files in the scenery library? If this is what you mean, how will that prevent OOM errors? (Apologies if this is a simple question. I love simming. I'm not so great with computers). My goal is to stop getting OOM's, which occurred after the installation of Open LC EU.

Vic, Would you happen to know how to uninstall Open LC EU? Is it a similar process as the above? Thanks!

Hi All, I've had Open LC NA installed since release, and it's been doing just fine for me. However, I also just installed Open LC EU and have suddenly been getting OOM errors. Open LC EU is 100% the culprit. For whatever reason, ORBX hasn't made their products easy to uninstall. Can anyone help me uninstall Orbx Open LC EU? I would love to get this off my sim without any issues! Thank you! HM

ORBX Open LC NA has the most outstanding night lights in all of flight simulation if you ask me. Very P3D V3 compatible, great with frames.

I thought this was having issues in P3D, including black buildings/bridges... Is that not what you're experiencing?

I've just had this same issue when using simbrief. I used both a RTE and WX file for the flight. However, I do not put the "001" after the flight plan.

Any update on QW787 or PMDG 747 for those that have been actively following? P3D is in need of some long haul aircraft.

Poppet, It took a bit of work but your step by step guide definitely saved me a lot of time. I've finally got it to work, and highly recommend it to anyone looking to use MT6 on P3D. Thanks for the help! HM

Yeah, that is certainly losing them a bit of business... So just to confirm, if I purchase the current one on simmarket it will in fact install mytraffic 6a? Is installation rather easy or am I going to be doing a lot of manual work? Thank you!

It says it only supports up to P3D V2.5. Are you running on V3?

Hi all, I hope this isn't a redundant question, but after doing a thorough search I still haven't found a clear answer-- what is the best add on traffic to use for those of us on vpilot/vatsim/p3d v3? I'm not looking for anything too detailed, I just want one that covers a majority of the airlines, and is not a pain to install and model match. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers, HM

Hi All, Has anyone successfully used LatinVFR Cozumel or Sangster Int'l in P3D V3? I'm always hesitant to use FSX scenery in P3D, although I know that there is a decent success rate. As a matter of fact, is there any quality scenery that has not been officially published for P3D that folks are able to use successfully? All the best, HM

Hi all, I come to you with my head in my hands... After taking off for a long haul flight, only to wake up to a .NET error and my sim being shut down, I decide to reach out. I've restarted my computer, and decided to run P3D V3 just once more with different addons. However, the .NET framework error is back.. Here's what it reads-- "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Input string was not in a correct format" Now, this error has popped up with my REX Essential Plus Application... Any idea what this means and how to resolve? Thank you for any help you can offer. HM

Hey all, I think the subject is pretty clear. But to clarify, is there any software out there for P3D V3 that is high quality and allows you the ability to complete long haul missions. Is PMDG's 777 the only verified P3D long haul aircraft? Has anyone got any FSX aircraft to work well in P3D (Captain Sim, Lvl D, etc.) Looking for 757, 767 models specifically, but open to A330/A340 models as well. Thanks guys, HM

Now if I currently have REX, but would like ASCA would I need to uninstall REX at that point?

So, I have REX Essential+ which I thought to be textures and weather engine? Is this correct? I would love to try AS16, but my question is-- Do I need to uninstall REX Essential+ to have the benefit of AS16 weather engine? Also, would It be better if I just used REX Soft Clouds with AS16? Does REX Soft Cloud have improved textures over REX Essential+? Thanks for the help!

Hi Everyone, First, I'm new here to AVSIM and glad to be here! Second, it's been over 4 years since I last simmed. As I'm trying to get my sim together, I'm trying to figure out how to get real world weather as I fly VATSIM. I recently bought REX Essentials+ and it is great for downloading RW Wx, however it seems to only be in effect when I launch P3D from the REX app. Is this the case? Also, when I launch P3D from the REX app it seems to change my resolution (not as clear as normal). Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks for any help you can offer!
