Operating the cowl flaps from an axis on a joystick moves the cowl flaps on the engines in outside view, but the levers don't move, not in VC view nor in 2D view. When I move the cowl flaps with the mouse in 2D-view to all open and then look at it in VC view they are not fully open. If I then move them even further in VC view and look at them in 2D view, the lever position did not change, just the marker disappeared. Karl

Now finally you reallyget rewarded for your great work! Glad to hear that. Karl

I just got it. I will report then.... Karl

Savage Carbon and Grravel updated...

You are right, I also like to fly them. And if the somewhat difficult trim is resembling the real thing then I'll happily take it for that. Karl -

Is it only me that now has problems to trim it to hold altitude? Karl -
Yes, saw your post over at the RTMM Forum. Karl

I tend to get the Pro version. Any of you fly it already? Karl

After I read a book written by a ferry pilot ("Ferry Pilot" by Mccauley Kerry) shortly, I started to refly the routes. He flew single and twin engined aircraft from the US to Europe and Africa in the 80s and 90s, many of the flights with no GPS, some with no Autopilot. He flew more than 50 different types from Cessna 172 to Piper Aerostar, accumulating almost 10000 hours across the North Atlantic. I don't use acceleration and I basically stay "in the cockpit", doing some other stuff than flying actively. That's what he did. However, I use the toilett rather than doing what he explains vividly in his book. I did not yet fly an aircraft with no AP across the Atlantic, not sure if I do that. Maybe on the northern route in summer, touching Greenland and Iceland. Karl

Chock will do a review? Is this worth it? But wait, will be fun to watch! Karl -

Which serious simmer would buy it? Can only be gamers that fly it. Karl -
Weird problem with cockpit camera

Could be a joystick problem with the Hat Switch? Karl -
And I will definitely get TreuEarth Alps. Karl

Brad, do you think vendors would have stopped development for P3D if sales hadn't changed? Karl
-
The shift to MSFS happened because sales for P3D stopped. That's because the "simmers" in P3D were curious how MSFS at release time will behave and how they will like it. Today the "gamers" generate sales in MSFS, much more than the "simmers" that are back to P3D can compensate for. We have this situation now and I don't think we can change it. I'm sure that some of us hope that MSFS matures in regard to system depth. I think this is possible. Others stay with P3D, also because they want to protect their investments. I'm very curious about the next P3D releases. Karl

Thank you for the link. I had 4 meters for Austria, Switzerland and Italy in that other sim, so there is still room for improvement. Karl

That's why I do not go to external view anymore. Karl

You can tell the direction of crosswinds like that: go to outside view and center behind the aircraft. If the camera is to the right of the centerline of the aircraft there is a crosswind coming from the right. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2pe627ecsyyiowe/Crosswind_Left.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/hwf498xb2zl1v0l/Crosswind_Right.png?dl=0 Karl

Bert, I think this depends on the aircraft you fly. As an example, Just Flights Arrow III allows for overriding the AP if the rudder deflection is large enough. Then I can even go into a spin without the AP to disconnect. However, if I deflect the aileron to one direction by a low amount I can see the AP to correct for it, regardless for how long I apply the deflection. Karl

I'm sure the delay is for a reason. Karl.

Sorry, didn't get it. I'm not English native speaking. Karl -
Britten-Norman BN-2 from Black Box Sim coming soon
kaha replied to MOD71's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I love the aircraft and it flies nicely, as I stated several times already. If I wouldn't like it I wouldn't bother about the bugs. Would it be better to not mention them? Karl -

DME on RMT seems to be always slaved to NAV1. Cannot find the switch to change to NAV2. Karl -
A reason to keep a second sim besides MSFS is availability. In my neighborhood there is some construction going on for a new building for the local high school. In the last three months I experienced downtimes as long as several hours after they cut through the fibre cable. I was happy to still have P3D installed. Karl

Owning the Arrow III I just don't need the Warrior, as I don't need the Turbo Arrow/Arrow 4. I'd want their Dove, Falke_SF25, C-119 and C-46 (I enjoy them in P3D). Karl
