How does one get access to 0.4 already? For me CP is still 0.3.70 Beta.

Ditto. I am in the Caribbean island of Dominica which was devasted by hurricane Maria. We have no utility provided electricity at home since the pole route was severely damaged. This means also that we have no internet since all of the ISPs use overhead cables (and there is no pole route). While I have a generator at home and can fire up p3d, the internet required access prevents me from using chaseplane. I find it rather frustrating to trying to fly without chaseplane and have not been able to take off since Sep 18!! There NEEDS to be an offline mode for chaesplane for users who have already validated their accounts. Whatever presets are cached on your machine would be usable until you can sync at a later time. Back to my situation. I have no idea how long it'll take for the utility company to get to my area .... However I know that it isn't a priority ATM. Yesterday I got internet connected at work...But it isn't practical to carry my rig down to the office just to run a flight. So Kevin.....Please listen to your customers. I reinstalled this morning and the landing/runway lights are once again working. During the reinstall, the Ops center complained about some missing textures. In any case, I am now able to fly and enjoy night time flying.

I have the phenom 100 (e50 with the g1000) as well as the premier 390 and citation cj2. The latter two work well with navigraph updates but the former doesn't. I think the latter two also support vnav unlike the former. Between the premier and citations, I personally prefer the Citation. It's easier to start and more fun to fly. For what ever reason I find the Citation handles climbing much easier than the premier, all things considered, since both have the same proline fms. One other annoying thing is the buttons on the autopilot panel of the Citation have a light when pressed giving u visual feedback. However the buttons on the Premier don't light up. These little things, among others, lead me to prefer the Citation. I have inquired about the g750 mod and will seriously consider installing it once available.

I'm not ruling it out but a friend of mine did the same thing (installed envtex) and his lights are still working. I will reinstall the 777 and see.

Today I installed envtex beta and configured it accordingly. When I start up the 777 at night my landing and runway don't light up the run way like they used to. I have dynamic lighting enabled as well as HDR. I have the latest Nvidia drivers installed. I don't think that it was envtex that caused this but I really don't know what could be the cause. 4790k 989ti 16gb re am P3D DX v4 (latest)

Here's an update. I set my AF=85, which if I understand correctly, will only use the 4 physical cores and not the Logical cores... I can confirm the number since Lasso shows 0,2,4,6 being used. Then I set Chaseplane to use cores 5,7 (in lasso). I then set active cloud and pro ATC to use 1, 3 (in lasso). Thus far, this is the smoothest experience since I started tweaking.. The only other thing I did was enable 'classify as high performance process' for p3d and chaseplane I hope this helps.

I concur with Joaquin. I bought the paid version (pro version) after watching a video on youtube where it was recommended. The youtuber recommended the following settings : - priority class -> always -> high - cpu affinity -> always -> uncheck core 0 and 1 (so in my case, leave 2-7 checked) - enable 'exclude from probalance restraint' - enable 'exclude from smart trim' - enable 'disable idle saver when running' - enable 'classify as a high performance process' I dutifully tried them as well as combinations of them. I tried using this for Chaseplane, active sky, pro atc and p3d (the addons I always run when flying). My result was rather interesting. I kept getting serious stutters (macro-stutters...not micro ones). HOwever anytime I would click on a window outside p3d, the stutters would go away and the sim would run smooth like butter. I even posted a video (and a forum post here) on this problem: So...after reading the above, I tried disabling lasso tweaks for p3d....and boom....smooth like butter. Note this is with a fresh (45minute old P3d install w hotfix + pmdg 777 / 747 + TFDi 717.

I got rid of my noise by change from OFF -> RTO -> OFF

Was just about to post about this problem. I can confirm it only started after the sp1 update of the 777.

Hi all, I have a very weird situation. I am running p3d v4 with the hotfix. I just installed the latest pmdg 777 (sp1). My specs are : 16gb ram, 980ti, 4790k. I have 2 monitors with p3d running on one and my browser in the other. My issue is that whenever I am running p3d and the window is not active (e.g. if I click on the browser window in the second monitor), my fps in p3d increases significantly and it smooths out (no stuttering). As soon as I click back in the p3d window, the fps drops and stuttering begins. For e.g. right now as I am typing this message, my p3d fps is a solid 60fps (F11 view). I can see the immersion effects are smooth and the plane is flying without any stuttering. As soon as I click back into the p3d window, my fps drops to 25-35fps and the stuttering is very apparent. Anyone has any ideas what may be contributing to this? Here is a link to a short video showing the problem:

Hi Mark.....think we still have a problem. I am doing a flight and realized I didn't have simserver running so I went to start it....and noticed my exe was missing. I went back to the zipfile and tried to extract it from there and sure enough, Bitdefender didn't let me. I then uploaded the last file I donwloaded (which was ok at the time) to the online virus scan and again sure enough 7 scanners detected viruses/malware: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/564c9339f90279ae78e6e211eb34e0434e46669aeb5d5e7d5d05a3ed7b7de63d/analysis/1499308249/ I then used your link (http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=200324) and redownloaded the zipfile and ....viruses detected. I am thinking, could it be some sort of timed malware which is dormant which then 'wakes up' after x number of days or hours? Can anyone else try and see if they are getting malware detection also?

Ok guys....I did some further investigating and was able to solve the issue. Here are my notes. Here are some steps I followed: - load citation aircraft and confirm mouse zoom works (i.e. not mouse wheel hold and scroll....just mouse wheel scroll to zoom) - switch to chaseplane and delete all camera presets for this aircraft - confirm mouse zoom still working - load a different aircraft and confirm mouse zoom is NOT working - switch back to citation and now mouse zoom is also NOT working - setup new cameras and mouse zoom is still NOT working.....problem solved I know for this particular aircraft I imported the camera presets from the PMDG 777 so I am not sure whether this is what caused the issue, though I tried deleting all cameras and reimporting and it was not affected (i.e. mouse zoom not working). So maybe the problem was related to the version of chase plane I had at the time. Either way I'm happy it has gone away. Note I tested with v0.3.21beta.

HI guys, Latest version of chaseplane (v0.3.21) still suffers the same fate. Is no one else having this problem? How are you guys getting around this?

I've installed 3 carenado addons thus far and have not encountered any difficulty, however truth be told they were installed BEFORE I installed the p3dv4 hotfix. Try running the addon as administrator to see if that makes a difference. Just tried to reinstall and it works ok. Selecting P3d the first time takes you to another screen where you select your P3d version. Selecting P3dv4 populates the white text field with your p3d installation folder. Maybe redownload the installer

Hi all, I fired up P3D this evening to find a very weird looking game. I played last evening and everything was ok. However tonight the images look ghosted/duplicated almost like a VR game. I don't have VR so that is not the issue. I have chaseplane beta and I did notice it updated earlier today, but I can't see how that would cause the problem. I have P3D v4 hotfix along with various airport and aircraft and orbx addons, but again...last evening everything was fine. HI, Just started using chaseplane and am loving it. Only issue I have right now is how to disable zoom using the mouse wheel. Everytime I turn a knob, the view keeps zooming in or out which is very annoying. Any ideas? My version is v0.3.20 beta and I'm using p3d v4. Thanks.

Incidentally has anyone gotten the server working properly with Bitdefender Firewall? I have added an exception for simserver.exe (all ports and all protocols) but it doesn't allow my devices to connect (though I can connect to is from the PC itself). However when I turn off Bitdefender Firewall and enable the regular Windows 10 firewall, it works ok (and yes I added a similar exception to the Windows Firewall). Regards,
