I'm a High School Physics Teacher whose hobby are games and simulators. Sometimes i do some modding too.

Down here too.

Maybe he is talking about this: https://youtu.be/5uFRL43zSnc?t=2850

Not a problem. I keep the sim in a SATA 3 SSD and the P3D addons folder in a HDD using the mklink command. Loading times are slightly slower, sim performance is the same.

Massive frame loss when not using True Sky in P3Dv5
Aeronildo replied to PaperTowel1213's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
No. With clear sky i still see a fps drop and stutter, worse performance than P3Dv4 by the way, using the same settings and weather conditions. -
Massive frame loss when not using True Sky in P3Dv5
Aeronildo replied to PaperTowel1213's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
Same here. Sometimes can't mantain 60 fps in cruise level using a camera outside the cockpit, which is not a problem in P3Dv4.5, even in the cockpit and using the PMDG B747. -
How is everyone's performance and FPS so far?
Aeronildo replied to abrams_tank's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
1080p, i7 8700, RTX 2070, 16 Gb RAM, preset high, average 35 fps with 747, with GA aircraft it goes to 50 fps. With P3D and PMDG 747 i can do better than this. I'm curious what will be the performance hit with PMDG plane. -
Another cargo hub is on the way. Paulo Ricardo's Campinas/ Viracopos SBKP: http://pauloricardofs.blogspot.com/

This issue is still there though the P3Dv4.5 changelog says it is fixed. @dbw1 you can find the cfg here: C:\Users\"your name"\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 . You need to add the code in Prepar3D.cfg.

Out of nowhere... DXGI-ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG crash
Aeronildo replied to SledDriver's topic in Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum
It happens with certain graphics driver versions. I used to have this problem, testing different drivers the Nvidia 417.22 fixed it. Since then no more hangs and i don't update the driver unless it is absolutely needed.
