Sure, I can post some pictures. FWIW, I installed both (EF and then later SF), set everything to "auto", and then flew. I literally changed zero settings. It's all stock, and I've had zero problems.

I have been flight simming for 19 years. I am a pilot in real life. I got a nice sim PC last fall (8700k + 1080), got P3D (I think it was 4.3 at the time), REX 4 TD +SC, and thought, wow, this is great! This is how it was supposed to be all along. I got the A2A Cherokee (basically the same plane I have in real life), and I was happy. Then came v4.5. I thought, wow, this is really a step up from 4.4 - impressive! Then I got PTA and... too much work. Then came REX Environment Force, and I thought, WOW, this is really impressive. It's almost real! Then I got REX Sky Force... I have been flight simming for 19 years. And this exact moment is what I have been waiting for for 19 years. It is simply perfect. Everything on automatic. Set it and forget it. And I can't even put it into words. Simply amazing.

Well there ya go, then. That's the one thing about REX, what does what can be very unclear. Thanks!

Mine dropped for sure. I went from a steady 30 (I have it pegged there) to low 20s. But I wouldn't trade the visuals for anything, it is amazing. Any suggestions for better FR would be appreciated.

It is obviously subjective, but I think REX4 is fantastic. I fly GA in the Caribbean and am very satisfied with the textures.

Thanks Adam! My goal is a very realistic eastern Caribbean, and I've found some great tweaks to start down my path (including on your site!). It's nice to be able to fine tune with PTA. I've gotten some really nice results so far. Do you know of a good user guide for PTA? I find the documentation and the notes in the program itself somewhat lacking. I just want to understand better what does what. For example, the water i have now needs a bit deeper of a blue to it. Things like that. Thanks!

Hi, New to PTA, and I have very basic question that I think I know the answer to based on forum searches, but I want to be 100%: Do PTA and REX work together? For example, if I have my PTA preset the way I want it, but I change the textures in REX4, it will change the visuals in the sim or no? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes. I just want to make sure. In which case it seems to me that PTA allows you to delve deeper into visual customization beyond what you can do with REX4 alone. Which I find pretty awesome. Thanks!

Hi guys, I fly a lot of GA flights in v4.5 in the eastern Caribbean (think St. Maarten, St. Bart's, etc.). I was really pretty dissatisfied with what I could do with REX4 as far as getting it to look realistic, so I picked up PTA 2.66 just now. Does anyone have a preset that they think is good for the Caribbean? I would SO greatly appreciate it!

Saw that folder post. So basically just add two numbers for the version number to each folder (i.e. "44"). So far this update has worked just fine, about to install the scenery!

Thanks for this. So if I follow the 14 steps I'm reasonably assured to come out okay? Or just have a go with the pinned method for updating with the component installers?

This is what drives me nuts. It took me literally 3 days of "horsing" around to go from 4.3 to 4.4. I was very happy with it in the end. And I really only have a few addons: A2A, REX4, FlyTampa scenery (and a few other islands), and UTX Caribbean. And it takes days for a relatively computer-literate person like myself to do. And then you go on here and read these threads, there's 36 ways to do everything, everyone has a different suggestion. And in the end I think, why bother? Only to do it again in 4-6 months.

After everything I went through getting 4.4 to work, all the addons working, the elevation fixes for my addon airports, etc., I'm passing for now. Although 4.4 was a huge visual improvement over 4.3 IMHO.

Is there a performance improvement? I don't even get why you should do it. Do you do it in GeForce experience? I've always done it through there (that I can remember, haven't tried in a year), and it always gets screwed up. I always wind up reverting back to the driver I have now.

Is anyone else like me, and absolutely refuses to update their driver anymore? I'm running 397.64, I tried updating it more than once, and every time it was just disaster, a complete waste of time to just restore it back to the old driver that worked. I don't even bother anymore. 1080, 8700k

Well I got the runway working by moving the scenery priorities around, but now the airport itself (TAPA from TropicalSim) is sort of smeared into the ground. So the runway environment is fine, but the buildings are basically just painted on the ground. An improvement, but not ideal.

Thanks. Any time I move a scenery up or down in the scenery library and click OK, when I go back in they are rearranged back to where they were. How do I make the changes actually keep?

Hi all, I have an issue where I have UTX caribbean, the Richer Simulations Antigua, and TropicalSim's TAPA airport all installed. When landing at the airport on Antigua, you go right through the runway to a runway below. See the video. I queried the creator of the island scenery and he said I'd have to disable the addons 1 by 1 and see which one is creating the issue. Well, that much I knew. But the question is, what can I do about it? Is there any way to adjust the height of the terrain for the airport? The point is, I don't want any of the addons disabled, otherwise I wouldn't have them. So what do you do when one addon changes the terrain elevation? Prepar3d - TAPA / Antigua scenery issue

RESOLVED!!!! It's odd because for the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\Trainers" folder, under Properties->Security, CREATOR OWNER still has no access. But I'm not going to ask any questions. A HUGE thank you, Jean-Luc. Hopefully it stays solved, and we help someone else who might have this same issue.
