P3Dv5.3 + Pro-ATC/X
Bob, just some feedback on the steps taken... Tried it and unfortunately did not work. In fact, after making step by step adjustments to the Simcconect. xml file, Pro-ATC/ X would spontaneously terminate during taxiing or flight. Had left a request for support on the Pointsoftware Pro-ATC forum but the are totally unresponsive! In thr meantime, I've decided to abandon Pro-ATC/X for Pilot2ATC. Would have contemplated purchasing Pro-ATC/SR, however, with the lack of response expressed via their support forum, it led to an easy choice to move away from their product. Again, Bob, thanks for your above response. Herman

P3Dv5.3 + Pro-ATC/X
Hello, I'm encountering an issue with the above combination. Everything runs smoothly until I get the descend instruction from Pro-ATC/X. The simulation immediately stutters intermittently for +/- 15 seconds. When de-activating Pro-ATC/X at that point, I get no more stutters. It is not aircraft related as I have tried several types all with the same result. Am using Windows 11 Pro and have set Pro-ATC/X to run in high priority mode but this has made no difference. Any advise / tips would be appreciated. Thank you. Herman

BeyondATC - the only ATC program not compatible with P3D
Hi - as a P3Dv5.3 user, I would have liked to move to BATC. Have been using Pro-ATC/X for many years. Is it worth upgrading to to Pro-ATC/SR or are alternative products recommended? I am currently encountering intermittant stuttering (+/-15sec) as soon as I get an instruction to descend hence the fact that I'm possibly looking for a good alternative. Tips / recommendations appreciated. Thank you. Herman

P3D v5.4 and Windows 11 24H2 update issues
Hi - I put the following on the Aerosoft forum today... Dear Aerosoft, I recently did a complete reinstall of Windows 11 Pro (24H2) and Prepar3D v5.3 after doing a hard format of both of both my C-drive (SSD) and my dedicated FS-drive (SSD). Having experienced immediate Aerosoft A3xx Pro series CTD’s after Microsoft had released their 24H2 update (never an issue with 23H2) in combination with Prepar3D v5.4 For this reason I decided to “downgrade” back to P3D v.5.3 as I had read from various sources that with v5.3 no CTD’s occur when using Aerosoft’s A3xx Pro series. For the past 10 days this proved to be the solution until suddenly all the Aerosoft A3xx Pro series aircraft disappeared from the P3D add-on library. At the same time, I was suddenly confronted during the start-up of P3D with menu if I wanted to re-activate several ORBX products that had been saved to my ORBX Library. The latter, however, remained visible in the P3D add-on library and functioned after re-activation. This situation, however, appears each time I start P3D. The Aerosoft A3xx Pro series, however, is nowhere to be found in the P3D add-on library. Based on the above, I can only conclude that the Microsoft Windows 24H2 is having an effect on the XML-file links of certain products i.e. both Aerosoft Airbus aircraft and ORBX. I had always installed the Aerosoft Airbus xxx Pro series outside the main P3D directory but on the same drive as I also did with the ORBX library. Regretfully, I am not able to use my favourite Aerosoft Airbus Axxx Pro series anymore at this stage and I do hope that Aerosoft will at least make an effort to seriously investigate together with Microsoft, ORBX and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D as to what is causing this unfortunate issue. Many of us have invested considerably in Aerosoft products and the least that can be done is look into the issue as a service on behalf of its loyal customer base. Thank you for your possible consideration! Herman Additional info: My dedicated drive for FS activities is a Samsung 4TB SSD with the following main directories: AEROSOFT ( for the Airbus 3xx Pro series) – in tact BUT not suddenly appearing in the P3D add-on library. Concerns the A318, 319, 320, 321 and A330 series aircraft (all engine types); FLTSIM (Prepar3D v5.3 and sub-directories) – no issues encountered thus far; FSGUN2020 (Pilot’s global mesh product) – no issues encountered thus far; ORBX LIBRARY (a few product contents that cannot be installed in the main P3D directory). NOTE: The last Microsoft Update performed on the 3rd September last was: Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538242)

Incorrect ZIP-file reference AVSIM / AIGTech - AI Manager
Dear Simmers, I've noticed that when downloading flightplans that there is an incorrect zip-file reference when trying to download >30 Airlines. It concerns the Embraer 190 model which is available from the AVSIM-Online as: Download FS2004 Embraer 190 Base Model B.zip however, AIG's flightplan of 30+ respective Airlines requires the file: AIEMB 190.zip The result is that flightplans of +30 Airlines are blocked from downloading. Is there a way to rectify the above discrepency or am I just overlooking something? Thank you. Herman

MAP display function button
Mark, as previously reported in a direct email, the map function does not function using latitude and longitude with comma's. This should reflect fullstops between the digits. However, the seperation between longetude and latitude is quite correct with the use of a comma. Thought I'd mention it again as a reminder. Cheers - Herman

P3D v5.4 and Windows 11 24H2 update issues
Hi guys, It is definitely a Microsoft 24H2 update issue... have rolled back to Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (entirely new re-installation). Found a link on YT as how to prevent the latest 24H2 from installing. Link: https://youtu.be/nEjkPacrJ00?si=9dZsN0cn8VNSTK6A It has solved the CTD issue in my case. I can now operate my Airbus Pro series as previous. Microsoft certainly know how to frustrate folks! Cheers - Herman

P3D v5.4 and Windows 11 24H2 update issues
I've encountered exactly the same issues with the Airbus Pro series... did a complete reinstall of Windows 11 Pro and several installations of the Aerosoft Airbus Pro series... no luck! Hope Aerosoft/ PREPAR3D look into it as for me it would finally be a pushover to MSFS. Cheers, Herman
