  1. This would just be a weird kind of reasoning on an Airbus, since even if flying manual with A/T active, you are in full control of descent rate. Want to go down a bit faster, pitch down a bit, A/T will reduce thrust to compensate. And vice versa. My operator allows manual flight with and without A/T. Pilot's discretion. I enjoy having it on, but I come from nearly a decade on a non-autothrust aircraft. So for me it is quite relaxing and creates extra spare capacity in a small way.
  2. Does it happen to be the active aircraft in your Free Flight screen? If so, change to a different aircraft there and try again. I've had something similar with the ini A330. I think if it is the active aircraft in Free Flight, it is (partly) loaded and will not be allowed to have its files messed with.
  3. That's great if you know exactly what to look for and can thus use all those granular tools. If you have an issue that you don't know has been discussed before, pretty much all of that granularity goes down the drain. Not to mention that a good forum has search tools that allow the exact same thing. And what is the point of Discord 'adding' a forum style mode, reinventing the wheel... Monitoring a forum can literally be as "live" as you want. Get notified about new threads, and reply. It is not rocket science. Like I said, only a matter of willingness. It is like you guys are singing the praises of an invasive piece of software that reinvents the wheel and 'fixes' something that was not broken in the first place. But to each their own.
  4. Yet developers could be just as fast with support on a forum. Simply a matter of willingness. There is no reason that devs can not dedicate the same amount of time on monitoring a forum as they do on monitoring Discord. The clear benefit for the end user is a way more structured 'archive' with information that might solve their issue without ever needing the dev to enter the picture. Searching for stuff on Discord is a major pain, especially when completely unrelated messages come in between. The only thing Discord is good for is voice chat 🤣. And especially devs like Aerosoft, who have decided that Discord would be their main means of support but forgot to tell the end users about that. So you end up with a forum for a product, filled with issues and questions, and no one from the "devs" that ever sees it.
  5. The crowd here never ceases to disappoint. - Don't communicate about your upcoming addon? Get destroyed in comments/posts saying you should communicate more. - Show it off early with the clear stipulations that it needs a lot of work still and not ready until at least some time in 2026? Get destroyed for showing off early work and some really mean spirited comments about the fidelity. Oh, and let's flame some other addons while we are at it. Some of you should be ashamed. Be happy someone is attempting to make a decent long range business jet and just move on and check it out later when more progress has been made. If it is not for you, just remember... If you ain't got anything good to say, better stay quiet. Instead, you show your nasty nature. I am happy someone is making an attempt, the model looks fine, just needs a good texture artist to make it shine in sim.
  6. Just a quick thank you from me. Just got REX Atmos Core a few days ago and using your presets. It has looked great so far during the few daylight flights I have done. Obviously also thanks to REX for the app, really helps make MSFS look better IMO.
  7. So fun how in the mean time, they have just been saying that customers should talk to Microsoft about why the update was not available in MSFS 2024 yet. That it was fully out of their control. But supposedly now it was pre-planned all along? I call BS. More likely that the first V2 update did not pass whatever checks are in place for Marketplace addons to be deemed compatible with 2024, up until this new update.
  8. You can literally have an entire career on the real plane in the time it will take the dev to finally do the aircraft justice 😇.
  9. I'm still on the Marketplace side, I have too little free time to think about which webshop or platform I purchased an addon from and making the rounds through them every so often to check for updates. For all its flaws, the Marketplace makes this super easy. Maybe just agree that there are different flavors for different people, with pros and cons for each?
  10. I have not been able to try the update yet, as I own it on the Marketplace. But people are already reporting bugs that have been around for 3-4 years, and are still not fixed after an update 2 years in the making. As someone else mentioned, it does not inspire confidence. I will give it a shot once it is in the Marketplace.
  11. This update has taken 2+ years... An extra week or 2 waiting for the marketplace is nothing 🤣.
  12. Sigh, if you read the post, I'm quoting current pricing AND the announced price after the update. You go for quantity over quality again, but that's your prerogative. And you appear misinformed, you can crash the systems by just changing your flight plan in the FMS, no unsupported approach required. I have even tripped it up by just setting up the flightplan like I used to do on the real plane. Anyway, I have had enough of the back and forth. Let's see on April 1st 🙂.
  13. One of the existing bugs literally make it unflyable. As in, displays freeze, no input is registered anymore. Hence, rotten apple. The CRJ 550/700 is currently €51,25. After the update the only package available should be the bundle for €49,99... The Fenix A320 is £49,99 which converts to about €60. Please show your work on how to get to a 50% price difference from that. Maybe I will learn something still, but I guess you are ignoring sales tax on one but including it on the other. Talking about apples to apples.
  14. Would you rather pay a little bit extra (not nearly 50% as you claim) for a spectacular, tasty apple, or pay less for 3 bruised/rotten apples? That is the apples to apples comparison. Not the quantity, but the quality.
  15. I am going to sound nice and negative, but it is sometimes not avoidable. Do not forget that this add-on was originally about €70 to get the full package. €50 for just the 550/700. Getting the base Fenix package is in a similar price class and much, much better. The PMDG 737-600 you can get for €35 I think? If you don't mind flying the less popular variant. Both give much more value. There is a freeware A320 that is higher quality with less bugs than the CRJ. I will wait until the release, but from the first impressions it sounds like the dev slapped lipstick on a pig and called it a done job. Which would also explain the reluctance by the developer to actually share his progress or changelogs (before release), or respond to any support request basically.
