Hi!I want to buy me a new computer for FSX. It should have about 25 FPS with the PMDG 737NGX at very big airports like Schiphol, ...What do you think is better, Intel Core i5 or i7 (I maybe also want to overclock it)?What graphics would you use? (I thought of a GTX 560)Would be nice, if you had some tips.CheersDavid -
So I finally got the MCP from Opencockpits (v3, no box, Honeywell with backlight). I thought that this 'Plug and Play' product would be that, more or less. 3 hrs in, still scratching my head. This is for use with PMDG NGX in FSX. I understand that I need the connecting interface, SIOC, by the manufacturer, but there's another plugin required in order for it to communicate with PMDG. And this far I've only found this thing called OC4BA. The software is roughly 50€!!! I'm not in the financial mood to spend that at the moment.. There's a freeware version, but it is said not to work with the latest version of NGX. If anyone here use these products together, please let me know how to set it up in the easiest way. I've found a few tutorials like this one: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?259000-Opencockpits-and-PMDG Which ALMOST takes me all the way, but there's always ONE link to a program I need to download which is dead, stopping me.. At the moment I have come as far as changing the SIOC.ini, that's about it. :( Any help here is greatly appreciated. Cheers, /Johan -
I recently dusted off my PMDG JS4100 and started flying her again. Must say, a very nice aircraft. One problem though: I programmed the FMS as per the Tutorial, pressed LNAV and FULL MAP and set off into the skies. The MAP showing my programmed route. I connected AP, then VS and FL armed. Nice going so far. When clicking on NAV it shows CAP and then...start to turn in a completely different direction from my Waypoints. There is no way I can get it to follow the waypoints in the map. Except by HDG. But that is not supposed to work like that. Any suggestions?

Hi I'd like to bind button 2 on my joystick to toggle between cockpit and exterior views, which on the keyboard is the END key. I've tried binding this button in the setup to "Toggle Cockpit View" and "Toggle Exterior View" with the same result; the button will switch from cockpit to exterior view, but will not switch back again. Am I perhaps missing something when setting this up? I have an old, but great, MS Precision Pro Joystick. But am not convinced it's a problem with the Joystick, since all the other buttons bind to other functions correctly. Thanks for your advice. -
When trying to go through my set up process for the GTN 750 of which I just got I try to go through the setup thing and I have no clue what to do when it asks me, "Setup will create the program's shortcuts in the following Start Menu folder". It has RealityXP already put in but I have tried that and a bunch of different folders and I don't know which one I am supposed to use.

I have been using Saitek rudder pedals with the NGX since release and without issue. As it appears some are having problems here is how mine are setup. All axis are removed from fsx controls and that goes for my stick and throttle also. Each axis is then mapped through a registered version of FSUIPC. The rudder itself: The brake pedals (this for the right, same sequence for left): No issues with braking or autobrake release.
