Hello, I am trying to build a MCP. I got past the circuitry, PCB and components, but I have no experience in engraving plastic. I have a .dxf file with all the lettering, and lines etc. Question: What is a suitable plastic material or substrate which can be used to engrave the letters and numbers for the MCP panel? I want to be able to use the backlit option at night, and I would like a Boeing 737blue, or as close to it as possible. Can someone point me in the right direction please? BTW. How does this "image from URL" work? I tried to upload a picture of what I am looking for, and no luck. How do I make my picture into a url?

Hello all NGX operators/owners Two questions before I buy: 1. Can you see the runway at MLW (max landing weight) and regular approach speed? I am a 2D flyer and many sim planes seem to suffer from this, abviously not an issue in real life. 2. Is the stab trim animated? This too, even though it is trivial, some sim airplanes depict this and some don't, even from same releases/families of aircraft Thank you for your time in advance,John

Since the PMDG support portal is unusable for me now, again, I'm going to refer this report to here. I installed the Hotfix, and it seemed to take care of all of my panel freeze issues. BUT... MYYN-->KATL via JAVIS1.MAJUR RNAVYWR26L Just east of Florida the aircraft was s-turning pretty bad, so I decided to take over manually. To my surprise, the flight controls were completely unresponsive. The aircraft begin a bank to the left so I reengaged autopilot to take over. The gauges, as you can see, had frozen just after autopilot disconnect (via the soft disconnect command) The aircraft was completely unresponsive to the autopilot and this happened:

Today, I found out what all the fuss was about. While taxiing to takeoff at KORD, my screen went kind of grey and the little blue circle started spinning. I have flown about 50 flights, and this has happened a couple of times before, but only lasted a couple of seconds at the most. Today, after waiting for 10 minutes, I finally exited out of the program. BUT, the interesting thing is .... this was my FIRST FLIGHT with my new TrackIR. I was panning for traffic to cross a runway when it happened. Maybe this will help someone diagnose the difficulties. I'm not going to submit a support ticket, unless it happens again, and again.

So I finally got the MCP from Opencockpits (v3, no box, Honeywell with backlight). I thought that this 'Plug and Play' product would be that, more or less. 3 hrs in, still scratching my head. This is for use with PMDG NGX in FSX. I understand that I need the connecting interface, SIOC, by the manufacturer, but there's another plugin required in order for it to communicate with PMDG. And this far I've only found this thing called OC4BA. The software is roughly 50€!!! I'm not in the financial mood to spend that at the moment.. There's a freeware version, but it is said not to work with the latest version of NGX. If anyone here use these products together, please let me know how to set it up in the easiest way. I've found a few tutorials like this one: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?259000-Opencockpits-and-PMDG Which ALMOST takes me all the way, but there's always ONE link to a program I need to download which is dead, stopping me.. Hello, I am using P3Dv4.5 with Thrustmaster MFD controllers. I use it to set my cockpit views with EZDOK and my 2D panel through P3D. I am able to assign any panel until the window number is < 9. The FMS of one of my aircraft is set as Window_13. I cannot find a way to assign this panel to a key of my controller... any idea? thanks in advance Bruno

Greetings fellow members, For new year resolution, I have decided to make a cockpit control panel switch for myself. I know that leobodnar supplies very good plug n play Circuit boards. I have been using the Linda module and fsupic registered for fsx se. I generally fly the aerosoft airbus . I intend to use leobodnar circuit board for the project. Questions : 1.i want to assign flaps settings for a potentiometer. How should I do that using fsupic . ? 2.when using single pole double throw switches, I can have 2 input to a switch for 2 different positions. How can I use Linda amodule to assign 2 input to the same button. I know concept of using shift key, but that I don't want to use. Eg. When using a single pole double throw toggle switch, when changed to up position it must arm spoliers. When change to middle position it must retract spoliers and when changed the switch to down position it must fully extend spoilers. How can I assign 3 different functions to the same switch using Linda or fsupic. I have the Linda module for the airbus extended . Your assistance in making me achieve the resolution is appreciated. Fellow Flight Simulation Pilots, I am putting FSX Steam on a new computer, and I want to keep the panel states I created for the 737. Are the panel states saved in a file in the FSX Root Folder? If so, could I just put that on a USB drive and put it in the panel state folder when I install the aircraft on the new computer? I hope this makes sense. Thanks, Kevin Davis

Hi, when I watched the video on how to use PBE with the Fenix A320, I realized that the in-app panel does not show up. The dark interface launches as expected when clicking on the launch command, but the in-app won't load. It is definitely not a breaking issue as I intuitively used the dark interface to set up the p/b and after that minimizing it. Any thoughts? Most recent version is installed (the one from a few days ago). Best, Simon

Hi, newbie here.I’m involved in a project to equip a decommissioned Cessna 172 with FSx. Looking into using a projector and possible 2 monitors for left/right view.I have looked at gauges, like Saitek, for basic flight instruments. Anybody know of gauges that can be mounted in the original cockpit cutouts?Thanks/Blouberg -
After I install the package and start MSFS. I select the PMDG 737 without winglets, select an airport and start the flight, when the Aircraft loads the panel is completely off and I am unable to click any buttons on the display. This also goes for the overhead panels and center console. Since I am new to the PMDG aircraft I am wondering if I have missed a step somewhere or if I am just completely bone headed. I have search online forums and have found nothing useful.Any help would be great. Thanks! My graphis card is a GeForce 9600GT and my FSUIPC version is 4.70b

Hi thereI've just made a fresh win7 64 & fsx install for others reasonAnd now i'm reinstalling fsaddons and i've a strange issue with the ngx with 2D panelThis problem appear on 600/700 & 800/900 variant but only after SP1 : Look at my 2D Panel witout SP1So to give more precision, i'm running win 7 64 + fsxsp2 acceleration pack + fsuipc registred versionfor the moment i have installed leveld 767 + qw 757 + pmdg 747 + pmdg md11 and my trouble with my ngx that's all folks I've also installed fsdt LAX and Flightbeam SFO and their horrible addon manager module that's allOf course i've tried to uninstall NGX fully and delete NGX folder and reinstall, my ngx works "Fine" (No angle of view issue) until SP1 installation, then i've this issue both on 600 or 900 variantI don't understand why the SP1 affect my angle of view in 2D, i dont know which file to tweak to fix that...please helpRegardsExcuse my english from PARIS

Hi there, I'm looking for a way to set a hotkey for the standby frequency switch button. You can't set it in the PMDG CDU and the default action via FSX is not working. It is so important to me, because i'm right handed and i use a joystick. So when im departing, i need to change the frequency from tower to center quite soon after take off. Right now i have to switch hands to have my right one free to use the mouse and push that little button. It's pretty annoying ;) I appreciate any help :) Greetings, Tony
