Hello. Let me start with my system settings. HP Pavilion g4-2064la Intel Core i3 @ 2,3GHz 4Gb RAM Intel HD Graphics 3000 (integrated) ATI Radeon HD 7670M (dedicated) - Switchable graphics FSX with SP1 and SP2 I've forever used FSX in DX9 mode, but recently wanted to try DX10 and see how it works. Even though the FPS have never been so good in my computer and I have applied the fixes, antialiasing is terribly bad. I have already applied the MultiSamplesPerPixel=4 in the fsx.CFG [GRAPHICS] section and the "Use application settings" in RadeonPro's AA options (I also selected Multisampling (Box)). Anyway, the AA should work, but it does not function very well. I also get a black full-screen view, but I can see everything if FSX is running in windowed mode. Thanks for your help. I suppose I should start by letting FSX build a new fsx.CFG file, shouldn't I?

Hi all. I'm so close to having all of my FSX.CFG settings to perfect, but I'm still having some slight issues with AntiAliasing. There's a decent screenshot dump down below, I'll post my FSX.CFG in the comments, system stats are below, and screenshot from Nvidia Inspector. I have read most of the start-up guides and configuration guides, and have done the FSX.CFG generator, just to get that out of the way. I'm just missing a few small details, that must be leading to some of this jaggedness... I also am using DX10. If you guys could help me get it running just that much more smoother, it would be awesome. I'd appreciate it. I've seen some kickass screenshots in FSX here, and on , so some of ya'll have awesome setups! System Stats: Windows 8.1 Intel i7 clocked at 3.9 GhZ 16 GB of RAM Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 1 TB SATA 7200 HDD (yes, no SSD) I am currently using 2 monitors, which I think could be causing some of the issues, since the picture looks a little better on one monitor than the other (the other is a TV connected via HDMI). Planes: A2A Piper Cherokee 180 Carenado Cirrus SR22 Carenado Socata TBM850 Addons: REX4 Texture Screenshots (click to zoom in on each): http://imgur.com/a/rvG2B Notes: * Look at how the lines aren't straight and clear around the instruments. * The paint lines on the side of the aircraft are all jagged, and the wing rivets are as well. * The screenshots of the Piper taken at the airport are on Monitor 1, the rest are on TV 2. * The Carenado's PFD & MFD aren't crisp. I've seen some screenshots where they were very crisp, ex. the Phenom. * Look at the wing lines in the TBM850. They're all jagged, so are the lines on the SR22. Just bought Balearic Islands X and looks lovely flying low down , but a bit blurry at altitude.4,00 feet + and hills in the distance, I had heard it should be the other way around? I am running over 3 screens on 680gtx. $gig Now the question is the AA setting. Word Not Allowed recently posted about setting this in Nvidia Inspector at 8 x. I have noticed at low altitude the mountains appear to look a tiny bit better if I up this to 16 x or 32 x. Frame rates don’t seem to have changed in the brief testing I have done. Is this a good idea or will it slow things down over time on a long flight? ie overload the graphics card? Supersampling is 4x I must stop tweaking and just fly 5 weeks is enough ! ;-) However still learning and welcome any advise Thanks all Steve

Hello and Good Morning, this is the first time I post something like this on Avsim, It concerns a problem that I have been unable to solve since 6 months. The problem is that, between May and June I had the sim running with a good AA setting (8xS), it happened after 2 years of not knowing how to handle Nvidia Inspector (I didn't had the time to investigate) and achieved it by using NickN's guide. After 3 weeks of flawless simming, I encountered the well feared BSOD's and it took me to the point of reinstalling the Drivers, of course such action ruined everything and I was unable to achieve the previous settings, even took screenshots of the settings I had when that "sweet point" was present. Ultimately I decided to reinstall Windows 7 completely and while I got rid of the BSOD's I am still unable to have it working properly. I have tried several different Drivers from Nvidia, I will not joke to say that, I must have tried more than 20 different ones with none of them really achieving the results expected. Yes the DDU software is being used to clean and uninstall the drivers every time they are tried, I have been very cautious on that matter, have read endless guides in different languages... English, Russian, French, German etc.... but no luck. The only thing that seems to make a difference in appearance and performance is, if I use the profile file (NIP file) of somebody else, it does make a change, sometimes better or worse, I have no bloody idea why it does that . The current issues I notice are this: 1 Aliasing not working properly, (to achieve some thing close to the perfect 8xS, now I need to use 16xS and still it shows jaggies) 2 I fly in windowed mode, however if I make the windows smaller in size the FPS will remain at 60, no matter how heavy and demanding the software is. 3 I am aware my monitor could be playing part in this mess, just I do not know if it is really related to this problem. 4 I remember that Nvidia Inspector had a lot more "Settings" than just the current ones, the one I used for 2 years before I decided to meddle with this was, Super VCAA 32x. I have not seen that setting anymore in the AA mode options, not even in older drives as they should be. 5 For some reason, both the ground scenery and aircraft show not just jaggies but, something like vertical stretching. I have no idea how to explain it, sorry just It does not look right. My specs are this: Windows 7 64 SP1 AMD FX-6100 3.30 GHZ 8 GB RAM Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 motherboard EVGA GTX560Ti 2GB Samsung Syncmaster 2243NW monitor (1680x1050) Anybody who can fix this mess PERMANENTLY, will receive a small reward for their help, I cannot give anything else considering some of you will be spending your time and this season is tight for most of you. Best Regards. Ed.
