  1. Folks, I'm after that first pointer to get things going from which I believe I'll be able to get there myself. I've been trawling forums and manuals for days and can't seem to unpick this - if you know of a thread, here or elsewhere, that answers this, a pointer to it would be gratefully received. My Setup I'm running P3d 2.5 on my main computer (called "Flight1"). I have FSUIPC and Wideclient (registered versions) installed and working fine. I'm running the PMDG 737 (though will ultimately want to expand what I'm doing here to other aircraft in so far as that is possible). I have installed LINDA 2.6.3 on this PC. I have a second PC ("Flight 2") on which I run, FS Global Real Weather, FS Commander - all working fine. On this PC I also run SIOC (OpenCockpits software) and have built my own MCP using the USB interface, Mastercard, etc. Note that the OC Hardware is connected to Flight2 not the main P3D operating computer, Flight1. Background I have reached the stage where I am able to read the status of the PMDG MCP LEDS (e.g. CMD_A lit or not) and replicate this fine on my own hardware. I've done this using the SIOC code to read the status via WideClient/FSUIPC. This bit (after some head scratching to get there !) is fine. I can also operate the switches/buttons on my hardware and see the state change in the SIOC monitor, so I know the wiring at the end is correct. My difficulty I now understand that you can't programme (i.e. read a switch state and send it to the PMDG 737 in a similar way to how you read the status of items. From the reading I have done, I understand I will need to use LINDA and/or FSUIPC ".evt" (event) programming. Now this is where I'm getting stuck and would appreciate some insights from others. A few questions (that may be wide of the mark but will probably tell you where I'm at trying to hunt this down) I have installed LINDA on Flight1 (main P3D running computer) - is this the correct place to put it ? (I believe so) How can I link a state change on my hardware (that I can see in SIOC monitor) to the process of sending the command to the PMDG ? Does anyone know of any examples that would lead me through this ? Even a simple one that says "put this file here, change this value to coorrespond to your switch input and this one to the PMDG offset value from the SDK and it will work", just for one switch, would be great - I could then build off of this What I'm not necessarily after I'm not really after a "download this and it will do it answer" though I accept that this may assist me in unpicking things. Given that I'm building my own hardware from the ground up (no pun intended !), I need to understand this so that I can do different/odd things later if required. Thanks for your patience folks and I look forward to that "key" that will unlock the next step for me. Cheers, Rob
  2. Hello, today I recieved my Opencockpits FMC v3, I have followed two guides, and I have tried to set it up to the NGX with Ptoject Magenta, SIOC and Prosim 737 but I cant get the buttons to work. Is there anyone that can help me? I can gladly let you do it through TeamViewer Guides used: http://www.opencockpits.com/uploads/manuales/Opencockpits%20FMC%20V3%20Review.pdf http://www.opencockpits.com/uploads/manuales/FMC_737_V3_Manual_2012_REV1.0_English.pdf Sincerly Asmund
  3. Hello All, I'm trying to build my Opencockpits setup, but I have stuck at the beginnings, which drives me crazy. SIOC recognizes the USB expansion card, but SIOC monitor don't - the window is blank. I had a lot of difficulties with windows 10 before (especially with flightsim hardwares), so I think it is a windows issue too. I have tried the following: - disable energy saving for this USB device through a registry hack (worked with Saitek Radio panel) - tried to use another master card - tried to connect master card to another connector on usb expansion card - disabled the firewall - tried to run as administrator - tried compatibility mode (win 8, 7, XP, nothing worked) - tried to reboot, change usb port, uninstall-reinstall SIOC - tried different versions of SIOC (5.x, currently 6.0 B8) - tried different versions of SIOC monitor (1.0, 1.4, currently 2.0) - tried to combine SIOC and SIOC monitor versions Now I'm out of ideas. Is anybody encountered with this already..?
  4. Hello everybody, I hope you can help me with a problem. Since a while I use the mcp & efis from opencockpits with the PMDG 737NGX. Today I bought the FMC from opencockpits, and downloaded RKsoftware to let it run. The FMC runs fine, however, the MCP and EFIS are useless. The EFIS isn't functioning at all, and the MCP shows wrong digits, and when pressing a button on the mcp, it is pressing a different button on the MCP on FSX. I think there is a problem with the scripts, but I cant figure out what it is. I'm running the ''OCP4NGX_MCP-EFIS-CDU v1.05.ssi'' by the way. Thanks in advance! Niels
  5. Hi there, is anybody else trying to let the opencockpits PnP MCP work with the QualityWings Ultimate BAe 146 Collection? I am new to the oc-MCP programming. Is it possible? Or are information of qw (offsets) missing? Regards Abt
  6. When I connect a LED on any J2 pin ( 11-48 ) of my MasterCard (just bought), it is permanently ON! With SIOC monitor (last version) I turn the outputs status ON / OFF but the led never turns OFF. Is this normal? This is my first attempt with SIOC and OpenCockpits cards and for now I am testing and learning.. It looks like my master card does not open/closes the positives I've tested all pins and here are the results: [+5V],11,12,13,14,15,16,18,20,21 (dim) 17,19,30,31 (off) 22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29 (bright) 32,33,34,35,36,37,38,39,40 (very dim) 41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48 (dim) Nothing changes using "ALL ON" and "ALL OFF" EXCEPT PIN18! when I press "ALL ON" turns OFF! and when I press "ALL OFF" turns ON! Pressing just its square [18] there is no change Same results as I've described when I use a 4,9V supply and when I use just the USB connection (without ext. power) The only difference is that with power supply leds are brighter. All 71 digital inputs work normally So, all positives are always ON! (except 17,19,30,31 that are always OFF!) (PIN18: Connecting is ON but when I press "ALL ON" turns OFF! and when I press "ALL OFF" turns ON!) Normally connecting a LED must be OFF until card sends a signal to its positive to turn ON (am I wrong?) Do I have to run a specific SIOC script to do a reliable test? (I use SIOC Monitor ver 2.0) But connecting a LED is immediate ON and this is no good? Manolis
