March 25, 201610 yr If the landmark, etc. is not in FSX or P3D database it wont show, or if it is an Orbyx propriety airport/landmark it probably will not show up on the G1000. That is my experiance with the GTN 750, I'm only assuming that is the way the database for the G1000 is. Made a trip in Orbyx PNW area the other day and GTN showed an airport that I was familiar with, but it wasn't there in the Orbyx scenery. March 25, 201610 yr Yup, I know how to go direct. I was just wondering if there was a way to activate a leg that you are going to intercept. I thought you just highlight the next waypoint and hit "enter" to activate that leg. I haven't tried "Menu". I'll try Ryan's suggestion next time. You can activate whatever leg of the flightplan you wish. The document that comes with it has an entire section on using the MFD. I believe you want to highlight it and press Menu. Not at my computer to check for sure. I use that feature when i want to skip a certain leg due to weather or somethimg by going direct to another waypoint in the flightplan or a waypoint i manually add to go around and then picking back up on another leg of the flight.
March 25, 201610 yr So, this led me to my first question... I took her out to Orbx's fantastic Pago Pago region, and nothing shows up on the G1000.the G1000 will show whatever is in Navigraph. Check the Pago documentation. Can you enter the airport code in the G1000? You still see navaids around the region right? In such a small region, if you could enter the airport codes the flight plan will be simple, just direct to. Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system.
