June 21, 20169 yr Ronny Sorry for not getting back to you yesterday ,,, was gone most of the day and when I got home I crashed I am at a lost now Jim mention a couple of good things , make sure you have the latest visual 2005 sp1 Do a Google search NickN FSX Bible ,, read is bible and their are links in his bible for necessary files for FSX such as DX9 update, visual studio 2005 sp1 and a few more other then that ,,, it is looking more like you might have to try a FSX repair , and as I mention before, I have not had good luck with the repair.. or a clean install of FSX ,, if you do a clean install of FSX and do not want to loos your flight time and rewards ,, make a copy of the logbook.bin and save outside of the Flight Simulator X folder , also go to c user your name app data roaming Microsoft FSX make a copy of the Granted rewards and granted rewards old , after you get the new install of FSX done put the logbook.bin back in the Flight Simulator X folder over writing the one in their and put the rewards bin back in the FSX folder where you got the copies from over writing the ones in their if they are present Also if you do a clean install of FSX , you will have to clean the Reg too CCleaner should take care of most of it ,,,Google uninstall FSX you will find all the info you will need, NOTE any thing by NickN YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH HIS INFO
June 21, 20169 yr Author Well I am back again, and still no luck, the link Angel showed about the Airbus on the 2nd page just about says the same problem that I have faulty module G\FSXui.dll, faulty path G\FSX\fsx.exe, tried to reinstall the Airbus318-319 by Aerosoft but no luck Jim tried a lot of the things you mentioned still no luck.. AceHigh used CC Cleaner, defragged, ran by anti virus, what else ? This is plain frustrating. How do you do a repain ? Once again have FSX Gold Edition with Acceleration. I am later going to uninstall the new version of FS dreamteam addon manager 3.0.0.14 and reinstall it. but that one link on the second page by Angel showed the same errors in the event viewer as my computer but still had no luck. followed everything to the T. thanks,Ronny
June 21, 20169 yr Administrators The biggie with a Repair is any default file, including those default aircraft.cfgs with added liveries, that have been modified, tweaked, or otherwise changed, will be returned to default status. You can make a copy of your existing FSX folder before the repair and paste those individual files back in afterwards. IMPORTANT:Acceleration Repair only fixes what the Acceleration expansion pack modifies/adds. It will not repair core FSX files. If you have SP1, SP2, or Acceleration installed, they will have to be uninstalled before a repair attempt, and reinstalled, after the repair, or it won't work.Once you have your FSX up and running properly again, back it up, all of it.You may need it again and it's a lot easier than a Repair or Re-Install. June 21, 20169 yr Commercial Member Ron, At some point I would look at the amount of time and effort this is costing you verse performing an uninstall and reinstall of FSX. By the way, there is a correct way to uninstall FSX (you can find it HERE). If you eventually decide to perform an uninstall / reinstall, I would give strong consideration to using FSX Steam rather than any disk version. You can often pick up FSX:SE for $5 during one of the frequent sales Dove Tail Games has, but the regular price is not outlandish either. There are several benefits to running the Steam version. I believe it's ON SALE RIGHT NOW for 70% off! One nice thing about the Steam version is the installer is a download, so you can install it a lot faster (no waiting for the install to read from a DVD drive and decompress those files, having to change disks or having to install service packs (for Deluxe). CAVEAT: While it's not absolutely necessary to reinstall Windows before installing the Stream Version, I strongly recommend doing so as there can be numerous problems caused by either the exiting or previously installed FSX Disk version. These days reinstalling Windows is very fast, so I don't consider this to be a downside to the procedure. NOTE: ADDON COMPATIBILITY Please check for compatibility of your addons with FSX:SE before making the switch. I run countless addons (though no third party GA Aircraft), the the only addon I had that wasn't compatible with FSX:SE was a Flight1 program called "Sound Stream". The PMDG 777 and NGX are fully compatible as is the Aerosoft Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 and Majestic Dash 8. Other addon software that is fully compatible is Active Sky Next, REX Texture Direct/Soft Clouds, Avilasoft Electronic Flight Bag, and many more. I've been running the FSX Steam version now for well over a year and I'm immensely pleased with it. Here is a brief intro to FSX Steam. Here is a list of the FSX updates the Steam version has. List of Third Party Addon Compatibility (there are likely more products that have been updated, best to check your products individually if they're not on this list). My very best wishes. June 21, 20169 yr Ronny agree with Charliearon on doing the Repair I personally at this point would do a clean install of FSX + Accel following the install make a back up copy of FSX on a storage disk if you have one ,,, this way you have the core files all untouched by addons if you ever need them I mention CCleaner ,,, IF YOU WERE TO UNINSTALL ALL OF Accel and FSX ,,, do the uninstall ,,, then run ccleaner to clean the Registry,, Google it before you do the uninstall Their are steps to be followed doing the uninstall you can try one more Thing ,,,, if you have the original FSX disk put it in the dvd and hold the LEFT SHIFT key down ,, a window should pop up asking what you want to do ,,, view/explore the DVD ,, once you see all the folders and files in the DVD ,,, Copy FSX exe then paste it to your FSX Folder on your G drive BACK UP THE FSX EXE ON YOUR G DRIVE FIRST
June 22, 20169 yr Ronny Disregard copying the fsx exe from the DVD ,, it is not their ,, I thought it was ,,, I will email you a copy of the FSX.exe I have ,,,, before you put it into your FSX main folder RENAME THE FSE.EXE IN THEIR TO FSX.EXE.OLD then copy and paste the one I sent you into your fsx main folder reboot pc ,, wait a few min then fire up fsx and see what happens,,, if it does not work then delete the one I sent you out of your fsx folder and rename your original one back to fsx.exe
June 22, 20169 yr Out of left field this idea, since you said you had installed the latest fsdt addon, did you by any chance click no when it said you want to trust this addon, since if you had doesn't matter how many times you uninstall or install it it wont run since you had said no. You got to go to windows to the trusted section and remove it from the untrusted section. Disregard this post if it doesn't apply just a thought I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
June 23, 20169 yr Author well guys it looks like in the next few days, I will do and uninstall and reinstall. By the way AceHigh it did not work with the new icon. Just want to thanks all of you guys triying to help me out. I am going to wait a few days for my computer guy from home to check it out as well. When you do an uninstall of course I will go to the control panel and do the add and remove. All my programs and airports from fs dreamteam do I have to uninstall them as well ? Also have GEX, REX, etc etc all have to be uninstalled as well ? Since I have fsx with acceleration where in the registry do I look to delete remants of FSX ? I know Nick read his Bible again, and Steve thanks for giving me all of the idease, and everybody else as well.. Th is going to be tough. thanks Ronny
June 23, 20169 yr ever thought doing a complete o/s re install or is to much stuff on your pc to do this, if you have you can always transferr the things you want to a external and re install them later I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
June 23, 20169 yr Ronny Yes you have to uninstall any addon that is in The Main FSX Folder ,,, Gex is a data base program and should not of been installed in the FSX main Folder ,, and if it wasn't then Gex does not need to be uninstalled but after you get FSX installed again , you have to run the Gex interface to reload the textures back into the FSX folder I believe REX is a data base program too ,, so if it is not in the FSX folder then NO for the uninstall ,, same as gex in need to reload it into fsx ( NOTE DOUBLE CHECK ON REX BEING UNINSTALLED I AM NOT A 100% ON REX) as I mention before ,,, do a google search their are steps to be followed for the uninstall as far as the Registry goes I would just use CCleaner,, if you decide to do it manually be very careful you delete the wrong thing you could make your pc inop

June 24, 20169 yr Author DaveCT2003 come to the conclusion since I have the dvd's for FSX gold edition with acceleration will do a complete uninstall and reinstall. Its going to be a lot of work have about 180 gb at least of fsx. Once again I just want to thank everybody for trying to help me out. thanks, Ronny
June 24, 20169 yr Commercial Member Well Ronny, I perform FSX/P3D Tech Support professionally, but I wouldn't say that I've come to any conclusion about your case, only you can do that. I reminded you of my advice with another user also recommended you perform a reinstall and suggested you Google for the uninstall procedure that I had already provided you in the referenced post, which also contained some helpful ideas on how to proceed in order to save a lot of time and get the best result. It's learned advice my friend, but if you'd like to continue pursuing another path then, of course, the decision is completely up to you. Best wishes. June 24, 20169 yr Author Well I get FSX Acceleration for a few minutes and then closes down, I did a repair a couple of hours ago, now the message in the Event viewer says, Faulty application path G:\FSX\fsx.exe, and faulty module path unknown. For FS dreamteam when I loaded it up I mentioned trusted module, FYI. So we are making a bit of progress. What does this sound like? thanks once again Ronny Well I got FSX Aceleration up for a few minutes and then shuts down. I did a repair a couple of hours ago, now the message in the Event Viewer says, Faulty application path G:\FSX\fsx.exe and faulty module unknown. June 24, 20169 yr The biggie with a Repair is any default file, including those default aircraft.cfgs with added liveries, that have been modified, tweaked, or otherwise changed, will be returned to default status. A repair will not change any of the default files UNLESS you move the default files to a temporary folder. Then the new default files will be installed. But a repair only reinstalls textures, bgls, etc. I have already done the repair several times and none of my configs were touched. Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
