August 31, 20169 yr Hello , anyone have ideas with GTN750 Mod in the Caravan EX? Such as King Air C90GTX ,Phenom 300,TBM850... Thanks!
September 6, 20169 yr This seems to work pretty well. And no ridiculous FPS hit like the built in MFD. http://library.flight1.net/?did=1835 Cheers
September 13, 20169 yr So after giving this mod another try, it seems to break the autopilot ALT-SEL and VS modes. I really want to like this aircraft, but the FPS drop from the G1000 MFD is just too much. I asked Carenado support about it, and they just told me my settings were too high. Anybody have any ideas on a fix for the autopilot w/ the GTN750? Or the G1000 for that matter? Thanks!
October 14, 20169 yr Hi all, I know it's a bit late in replying to this but I have just got around to installing version 2 ( been busy elsewhere). It appears that the autopilot with the GTN750 mod will not work on version two as Carenado have changed the panel.cfg therefore panel layout, including a different autopilot. I only noticed this when looking at the new panel the A/P is a different colour, the new one's darker!The upshot is that I have managed to merge the new Carenado panel.cfg with the GTN750 panel.cfg and this is listed below with changes in bold. BTW this is for FSX only I don't have P3D. //*********************************************************// CARENADO C208EX G1000 FSX/P3D// Copyright © Carenado 2013 - All Rights Reserved//*********************************************************[Window Titles]Window00=G1000_PFDWindow01=G1000_MFDWindow02=AUTOPILOTWindow03=Toggle_ControlWindow04=INFOWindow05=ENGINE SETUPWindow06=STARTWindow07=GTN750[VIEWS]VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=-1.000, 0.000, 0.000//--------------------------------------------------------[Window00]Background_color=4,4,4size_mm=512,335position=6visible=0ident=MAIN_PANELwindow_size=0.49, 0.59no_luminous=1window_pos= 0.000, 0.350gauge00=C208EX_G1000!G1000_configC208, 0,0, 1, 1gauge01=C208EX_G1000!G1000_PFDC208, 0,0,512, 335gauge02=C208EX!ToggleCARG1000, 60,0,390, 25//--------------------------------------------------------[Window01]Background_color=4,4,4size_mm=512,335position=8visible=0ident=10010window_size=0.49, 0.59no_luminous=1window_pos= 0.500, 0.350gauge00=C208EX_G1000!G1000_configC208, 0,0, 1, 1gauge01=C208EX_G1000!G1000_MFDC208, 0,0, 512, 335gauge02=C208EX!ToggleCARG1100, 60,0,390, 25//--------------------------------------------------------[Window02]Background_color=0,0,0size_mm=1199, 200position=1visible=0windowsize_ratio=1.00ident=10130window_pos= 0.248, 0.020window_size= 0.506, 0.150size_mm=443, 712gauge00=C208EX_GAUGE!Gauge_AUTOPILOT_C208EX, 0, 0, 1199, 200gauge01=C208EX!Toggle10130, 0, 0, 1199, 10//-------------------------------------------------------[Window03]Background_color=0,0,0size_mm=500,328position=0visible=0ident=796window_size= 0.214,0.250window_pos= 0.010, 0.155zorder=5gauge00=C208EX!Control_windows, 0,0,500,328//--------------------------------------------------------[Window04]file=info.bmpsize_mm=555,139window_size_ratio=1.000 position=0visible=0ident=10020window_size= 0.292, 0.130window_pos= 0.010, 0.020gauge00=C208EX!ToggleCAR530, 10,10,400,100//--------------------------------------------------------[Window05]Background_color=0,0,0size_mm=600,653window_size= 0.350, .500position=3visible=0nomenu=1ident=10060gauge00=GAUGEC208EX!StartWindowsAircraft, 0, 0, 600,653//--------------------------------------------------------[Window06]Background_color=0,0,0size_mm=600,653window_size= 0.350, .500position=5visible=0nomenu=1ident=10050gauge00=GAUGEC208EX!StartWindows, 0, 0, 600,653//--------------------------------------------------------[Window07]Background_color=0,0,0size_mm=937,887ident=14401position=8window_size= 0.340, 0.600window_pos= 0.660, 0.000zorder=99gauge00=F1GTN!GTN750, 0,0,937,887,UNIT1.POP //--------------------------------------------------------[Vcockpit01]Background_color=0,0,0size_mm=512,512visible=0pixel_size=1024,1024texture=$Panel_1gauge00=C208EX_G1000!G1000_configC208, 0, 0, 1, 1gauge01=C208EX_G1000!G1000_PFDC208VC, 0, 0, 383, 247gauge02=C208EX!ToggleCARG1000, 64,0, 256, 32//--------------------------------------------------------[Vcockpit02]Background_color=0,0,0size_mm=512,512visible=0pixel_size=1024,1024texture=$Panel_2gauge01=C208EX!ToggleCARG1100, 64,0, 256, 11gauge02=CARC208EX_G1000!GPS_TCAS, 0,0, 1, 1gauge03=PayLoad_GaugeC208EX!PayLoad, 0,0,1,1gauge04=F1GTN!GTN750VC, 50,-31,282,248,UNIT1gauge05=GTN750!ToggleCAR14401, 0,90,47,247gauge06=GTN750!ToggleDirectTo, 342,169,15,10//--------------------------------------------------------[Vcockpit03]Background_color=0,0,0size_mm=512,512visible=0pixel_size=512,512texture=$Panel_3gauge00=C208EX_G1000!G1000_Audio,437, 0, 75, 423gauge01=GAUGEC208EX!Gauge_CLOCK_DIG, 0, 0,1 , 1gauge02=CarSound_CE208EX!CarSound, 2,2,5,5gauge03=GAUGEC208EX!Radio_KR87_ADF, 0, 111,421, 87gauge04=C208EX!ToggleCAR430, 65,0,200,40gauge05=C208EX_GAUGE!GAUGE_G1000_PEDESTAL_BTN_OUTER, 77,284,95,105gauge06=C208EX_GAUGE!GAUGE_G1000_PEDESTAL_BTN_INNER, 178,284,95,105gauge07=C208EX_GAUGE!Gauge_AUTOPILOT_C208EXVC, 0, 425, 512, 86gauge08=GAUGEC208EX!PS440HF, 275, 212, 160, 177//--------------------------------------------------------[Vcockpit04]Background_color=0,0,0size_mm=512,512visible=0pixel_size=1024,1024texture=$Panel_4gauge00=C208EX_G1000!G1000_PFDC208VC2, 0, 0, 384, 247Day=255,255,255Night=223,255,255Luminous=246,115,119[Default View]X=0Y=0SIZE_X=8192SIZE_Y=6143 All you need to do is backup the ..Carenado C208B_Grand_Caravan_EX\panel.GTN750\panel.cfg, Then open the old panel.cfg, edit and delete all the entries in the file and copy and paste the above entries and save the file. There is one other thing to do and that is as follows: In the Carenado C208B_Grand_Caravan_EX\panel\ folder copy/paste the file info.bmp to the Carenado C208B_Grand_Caravan_EX\panel.GTN750 folder overwriting the old one. Well it works for me, and of course I accept no responsibility for this change damaging your flightsim or computer setup in any way!!! you use it at your own risk. Also the this is still Carenado's intellectual property not mine, and I do not make claim to it in any way!!! Lastly I do not go on these forums very often so any questions you have may not be answered very quickly, if at all. Best regards, Nigel
December 17, 20169 yr Hi Nigel Do you have the TBM850?? this has a similar issue after the 850 MOD. Cheers Neil
December 8, 20178 yr I know resurrecting an old thread isn't great but I wanted to confirm that this is tested and working in p3dv4.1 on the Ex c208 Mark

December 19, 20178 yr Can you do a merge of this with svs? beacuse when using this mod svs dosent work for me
December 27, 20178 yr If anyone is interested, I've created a VC merge for the GTN750 that retains the C208 engine gauges and adds a few other "goodies" (LPV glidepath, GTN clickspot, etc.). PM me if you'd like to give it a try. Trevor Bair CMEL+IR | PA32R-301T & C208BMy Real World Travels
