May 23, 200323 yr Sadly PMDG is known for delay a release many times, so don't put your hopes to high for a release soon. I,am sorry to say that there are many others , who have also this bad attitude, because that's what it is. If you promise a release date you have to work your bud off, to be ready with the package on that release date. All that promising screenshots and excuses for delay are not working and are no more accepted.Best regards,
May 23, 200323 yr Hello, And? Your point? PMDG release a qualit yproduct at the end of it. All they have stated is that it will be soon. They haven't said it will be on XYZ Date. They can take as long as they want! I think a bit of maturity and common sense is needed to understand what developers actually do before a release, I have been their myself, not a project of this size, and it is a high-pressure time. I would rather giv emyself extra time and get it right, than rush and give a product out that needs to be patched later! PMDG can delay if they want. At the end of the day you have to accept it, and udnerstand that the devloper needs more time to put a few issues right! I have every faith in PMDG, time is not an issue for me! -----------------------[bR]Matthew Murray[bR]Jet-Precision[bR] http://www.jet-precision.com/MyTravel.jpg
May 23, 200323 yr Hold me back, Robert. There has NEVER been a promised release date. We have a bad attitude because we do not rush out to market a bug ridden plane that we would have to release patches for to meet some date you think we should meet? Buddy, we all have other jobs. I would love to spend 24/7 working on this plane and I'm sure every team member feels the same but the reality is, we spend as much time as is physically possible working to bring you a problem free plane. As for screenshots, they are a great tool for gauging if we are on the right track with a particular feature. For instance, the cockpit windows and flaps were reworked after showing screenshots of the work in progress. We now have correct cockpit glass and flaps. We have not, I believe made any excuses for not meeting a deadline, mainly because we've not made any deadline. You must have us confused with another company. Yes, that's it. You've mistakenly confused us with someone else. We accept your apology. http://www.precision...GX_Dev_Team.jpg PMDG Graphic Designer
May 23, 200323 yr I've been watching the development of the 737NG with interest for some time now. I really don't care how long you take to complete it. The last thing I want is another really pretty airplane that has limited functionality and unrealistic flight dynamics. I haven't posted much on this forum because I don't want to part of any pressure to hurry. Please take all the time you need and get it right, and we'll all be happy in the end.
May 23, 200323 yr How many complaints would there be if PMDG released this tomorrow. Then a patch next week. Then a patch for the patch the week after. If they did this you would see so many people complaining. You only have to look at the CS 727 to realise this. What PMDG need to do is to make it as good as they possibly can and fix as much as possible before release. They have said it's about to enter beta testing but I don't remember seeing a time and date for release anywhere. I think they should spend as long as they want getting it right instead of cashing in now and fixing the bugs later. Sure once it's released and people are using it it might require a patch to fix some stuff but I'd rather buy something that had the effort put in to make it work from day one than buy something that needed patching before I could even use it!For a simulation detail is everything.
May 23, 200323 yr I think he is getting this confused with the fiasco that is developing at SSW and their A310. They at first promised an end of April release and then when May rolled around, the head guy over their stated, Four more weeks and no more delays beyond that. Many who pre-ordered the A310 are becoming impatient and the forum msg's are starting to reflect that. Kudo's to PMDG for NOT making statements like that. Eric
May 23, 200323 yr Once in a while one reads some truly lunatic post. This is one. I wonder how old is martijn. If he is 16-teen that would be understandable.Michael J. Michael J.

May 23, 200323 yr Commercial Member I've been commenting on threads like this over at Flight1's boards regarding the delays on Ultimate Traffic, and to paraphrase what I said over there, I think it's absolutely ridiculous to belittle developers for delaying a product when the motive is to GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME! This is not Captain Sim where they actually took our money first and then started delaying indefinitely - PMDG has (rightfully so) not taken any pre-orders for this plane and they haven't announced a specific release date. I just love these posts where people seem to think they're going to be happier with an immediate release that has bugs galore than one that is perfect out of the box. (or out of the download EXE ;)) People over at simforums were even trying to accuse Tom Main and crew of some kind of political "conspiracy" to "cover up their lies" etc - that's utter garbage, and I hope people don't force that kind of junk on PMDG...Ryan Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
May 23, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hmmmmm... I was planning on working all weekend on the VC, but on second thaughts, I guess I'll take this three day weekend, put my feet up, and spend some time with my new wife, who is about to divorce me after 4 weeks of marriage for all the time I've been spending in front of the computer. Hell.. what's 3 days?...How's that for attitude? To the rest of you... thanks for watching our back. There's always a troll sneaking around the woods... May 24, 200323 yr G'Day everyone. Someone said that if this guy was 16, This would be understandable. That insults me. Im 16 and I dont think what that guy does. Are you saying that teenagers are only here to cause problems and annoy everyone? I bet there are many teenagers here that are just as enthusiastic about flying this plane as the older people. Not all teenagers are the same.As for the original post. Ignore the guy. PMDG....take all the time you need. I would rather spend my money on a great addon rather than a package that needs to be patched every week.If I am wrong with any of this. Dont post ur point of view on this forum. (Its not here for these kind of debates) Send me an email. Kind Regards,Ryan
