July 19, 200421 yr Great to hear about the updates! Making an already great airplane better.Really looking forward to some screenies of the "Queen of the Skies", particularly some of the flight deck. I know that most are of the aircraft but hey lets face most of the time is spent looking at the front end:-)
July 20, 200421 yr Tnx for the update! One question though. I dont see any changes regarding SID/STARs DIRECT command. I heard DIRECT LEFT/RIGHT would be added in the next update since right now its not working.Regards,Simon
July 20, 200421 yr Good news on the update:PI have to say though, the stuttering which was mentioned, I also get it and it is NOT FPS related. I can lock at 20-30FPS and have it stick to it, but whenver I use the Virtual Cockpit model it sticks at about those FPS Easy, but it has stutters, like 2 a second. Any ideas on how to solve that please? I'm not the best with the technical side of 'pootering.
July 20, 200421 yr Hi guys,I was wondering if that line about the 150+ repaints was referring to the existing repaints or the fantasy ones which weve been waiting for.Somebody please release the BA 737-800 repaint or I shall have to call Speedbird House and ask Mr Eddington to put the deposit down for a -800. Hopefully that should help in securing the paint job within days as opposed to months, sorry for the rant but it has been that long.Armen L Cholakianwww.veryquiet.com Armen L CholakianPMDG Sound Engineer
July 20, 200421 yr Hi,There is a great BA 737-800 repaint available at flightsin.com. :-)This repaint was done by the great repaint artist Dan himself! ;-)Hope you like it! Regards, Hugo Bravo LPPT
July 20, 200421 yr Hi Hugo,Thanks for that! I shall look forward to trying it...All the best.Armen L Cholakianwww.veryquiet.com Armen L CholakianPMDG Sound Engineer
July 22, 200421 yr Is there any news on the speed brake issue in this new service pack?(I mean the issue where you cannot touch the speed brake before take-off or you get warnings during takeoff)Best regards (looking forward to the 744!!)Jeroen van Bemmel
July 22, 200421 yr There is no issue with touching the speedbrake before takeoff because you do not touch the speedbrake before takeoff. The speedbrakes are NOT armed for takeoff...Best Wishes,
Randy J. Smith

P M D G's 747-400

coming to a runway near you
Caution! July 22, 200421 yr I know that, but if you run the checklist, you may touch the speedbrake handle. And also after landing and departing again, you have this problem, which requires a restart of FS to get rid of..I think this is not 'normal' behaviour of a 737/6/7/8/9 or am I wrong?Regards,Jeroen van Bemmel
July 22, 200421 yr Hi Jeroen,What is the 'problem' that requires a restart of FS? Maybe you could try using the following keyboard command...Shift + /What I mean by the above command is to press the 'Shift' key and the '/' key at the same time. See if that cures the problem for you.Regards,Jim Richards
July 22, 200421 yr I mean the problem like in this post:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchIt's not that I cannot arm spoilers, but that when moved during the pre-start check, you get the take-off warning, although the spoilers are already back in stowed position. If you do not check the spoilers and start flying there is no problem, expect... when after a landing you want to take of again! Then the take-off warning goes off until airborne.. To my opinion, that is a small bug, which would be nice to solve. Don't get me wrong, I love the NG series, but this is my small question..regards,Jeroen van Bemmel
July 22, 200421 yr Commercial Member >expect... when after a landing you want to take of>again! Then the take-off warning goes off until airborne.. Jeroen,Are you absolutely SURE that the lever is not in the ARMED position when departing?I ask because after landing when the spoilers deployed, you vacate the runway and advance the throttle levers again, then the spoilers automatically retract but the lever moves back to ARMED, and that is causing the alert. So just use the mouse to bring the lever to the right position. It works for me this way so it should also work for you, no bug there...Markus Markus Burkhard
July 22, 200421 yr Try this for now sir, 1] Do not touch the speedbrakes on the GROUND, there is no need.2] There is no need to touch them since they are already in the DOWN POSITION when you get into the aircraft.3] If for some reason you touch them, simply hit SHIFT / which will place the spoilers back into the previous position which was DOWN. if you manually MOVE the lever then maybe you can except the problem with the horn. I will check it myself later today. I will also bring this to the attention of the team if this indeed is the case and see if anything can be done about it. If I understand your issue is that on the ground and IF you touch the SB and then move them back to the DOWN detent the horn will sound regardless correct?Best Wishes,
Randy J. July 22, 200421 yr > If I understand your issue is that on the ground and IF you>touch the SB and then move them back to the DOWN detent the>horn will sound regardless correct? That's correct, and as I saw in the forum, I'm not the only one.. I will try the shift-/ thingy and get back on this too...regards,Jeroen van Bemmel>>>Best Wishes,>
Randy J. July 22, 200421 yr Are you guys going ever release a service pack to make the 737-700/600 VCs clickable without the 800/900, along with the updated textures for the panel, overhead, etc?
