Ah yes, this reminds me of the time that Bill Grabowski spent with me showing all the panel functionality and allowing me the opportunity to fiddle with all those switches, panel views and of course allowing me to fly the MD-11 on a short flight from KSEA-CYVR. As I have said in my other postings, this is going to be a fantastic enhancement to our flight sim experience. I'll say this, the panel is much, much more immersive than the 747 which is also a great product, but this one beats it hands down. Screenshots don't do it much justice, you just have to see it in FS in order to get the full immersion.Bill and Mike as well as those involved on the MD-11 development team have done such a fine job on bringing the famed tri-jet to flight sim. Being a fan of the MD-11, I can't hardly wait to get my copy.Keep up the great work guys.Cheers,Jason Brown

Looks stunning!I think you have overdone yourself on this one.But looking at the FMA, it says "CLIMB THRUST", shouldn't it just be "CLB THRUST" or is this company preference thing? Not that it really matters, I'm just curious =)

NICE!!!Can't wait to fly her around the world. A dumb question, will there be a panel switcher as in the 747 panel? Or will it all be clickspot?

Trace,I'll answer this one as I have personally interacted with the panel at the Avsim Fancon last weekend.Throughout the panel there are hotspots that are somewhat discreet though you'll notice them as you move your mouse over, the cursor will show two boxes on each side of the arrow. Those are your left and right click indicators. So basically moving your mouse over, depending on which panel you want, you either left click or right click and the corresponding panel will appear. It is very intuitive and makes navigating the 2D cockpit quite simple yet it gives you a very realistic feel compared to the 747 panel! I would say its a revolutionary idea in panel navigation and interaction. Also when you move the cursor over say a knob, it will turn into a hand shape indicating that you left click to push. To pull the knob, just simply right click. Move the cursor over to the left of the knob and it'll turn into a circular arrow indicating you turn the knob counter-clockwise. Likewise moving the cursor to the right shows a clockwise arrow. There's literally dozens of panel clickspots throughout the panel, a very different approach but feels much realistic because as Bill Grabowski mentioned at the presentation that the whole idea was to convey the feeling of being in a cockpit and intuitively turning your head as you navigate around the panel!Hope that was clear,Jason Brown

I wasn't originally interested in the MD11,but now that it will be available for fs9 and looking at the screenshots, I'm reconsidering.I can see the slight ageing stains on the panels around the switches etc but the icing on the cake for me would be an option to have a very battered and 'grubby' looking flight deck as many are in the real world.Just an option mind you as I'm sure many also like a squeaky clean flight deck also. Not knowing anything at all about painting, would this option be hard to include with the model?regards Jim

Very nice- but I am much more interested in your VC. Hopefully there will be previews of that as well. After hundreds of hours in the 744 VC there is no way I will be able to revert to 2D ever again. Thanks for the previews, and for all your hard work. I am looking forward to the VC shots more than ever!Michael, on another topic, when is ServInfo 3 arriving? Thanks again!Best-Carl F.
