September 19, 200421 yr Michael,>On the other hand: the ability to read PIC variables means>that one can develop an "FS-free" independent display driver>(ala Project Magenta) and have them execute on another host. >I shall continue to wait patiently ...Yes, that would also be an option. My aim is to make oll the leds in the (real, home made) panel working, not only those that are purely FS driven.Example: the leds of the fuel switches.Kind regards,Stephan Haaswww.lemont.nl/b767flightdeckhttp://www.pic767flyingclub.com/images/sas544.jpg
September 19, 200421 yr Now what the hell am I supposed to fly? The 737 or the 767??? Oh, and another 747 will be out as well. I hate this!!!!
September 20, 200421 yr Commercial Member Stuning video, can wait to fly it :)BTW in the early stages it was mentioned about networked gauges. Is this still the case?RegardsChris Chris Makris PLEASE NOTE PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at http://forum.pmdg.com
September 20, 200421 yr Can I ask a really dumb question for you 767 experts? - As I understand it Level D are only creating the -300 version (and not the -300ER). Is this version certified for ETOPS i.e. north atlantic hops? Best RegardsBoone,[email protected]"Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle. It's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes."
September 20, 200421 yr Hi Stephan,RE :"However: networked gauges (as some suspect) and the ability to read PICv2 variables are high on my list. Both have been confirmed by Wade."Was this recently confirmed???...ie since the announcement of Level D......... ???I have all fingers and toes crossed....please don't keep me in suspense!!
September 20, 200421 yr Question: There were numerous comments concerning PMDG, CapSim, various programs- 747, 737, etc. Why was nothing mentioned about the Dreamfleet 727? lr.
September 20, 200421 yr If the 767 they come out with has a fuel capacity of around 160,xxx lbs, then it is -by definition- a 767-300ER (same as PIC767).See the Boeing site for details on this...www.boeing.com/assocproducts/aircompat/acaps/7672sec2.pdf There are some other differences between a 767-300 and the "ER" version (high alt APU fitted, range, 4th hyd system, etc - for ETOPS), but the key is the fuel capacity, at least as far as your desktop simulator is concerned :-)Rob. System specs: Dual core E6300 (1.86g X 2), 2gb RAM, nvidea7800GT, Saitek yoke, CH throttle (6 lever), Soundblaster live.Add-ons: FSX: LDS767, FSL Concorde, FT E175/195, PMDG 747X/737X, Active Sky E, some freeware airports.Human specs: Desktop simulation since FS1, beta tester (LDS, FSL), 737NG simulator tech (Threshold Aviation), r sole+.
September 20, 200421 yr Ian,No, not recently. Networked gauges: it was confirmed in the radio-message thing some time ago, and maybe also some other time.Variables: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=search(took me some time to get this one back by searching)Kind regards,Stephan Haaswww.lemont.nl/b767flightdeckhttp://www.pic767flyingclub.com/images/sas544.jpg
September 20, 200421 yr The only downside I have seen to this whole project is that the systems are modeled after the -300 and not the -300ER which most airlines use. In fact only 1 US airline uses the -300 and that is Delta and only a small handful elsewhere in the world. I just wish they would have picked the ER version instead. Eric
September 20, 200421 yr Sorry to say, but neither Pmdg or Ariane cant be interfaced with freeware or payware hardware like Fsbus or Open Cocpit, or any otheri know ,so they are equal worthless for me and any cockpit builder
