Martin,Thanks. I'm on a single PC, but I think Import should point to your My Documents folder. I could be wrong here.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

JT,Thanks for your feedback and welcome! For a few flight turn OFF TAF processing and see if your cloud pop-ups go away. We are working very hard to eliminate these for everyone.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Haromo,What video card/driver combination are you using?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Vincent,Thanks for your report. But can we move way back and use the suggested settings for these things. Suppression ceiling 2000 and supression range 50. As far as an update per minute idea: think of the server hits and the data downloads that would take place. Also, there are technical issues of why this is not necessary. At this point cloud-pop ups are a user specific, machine settings type thing. I hope we can work together to get them solved for you. If you wish please start a fresh topic and I'll be glad to work with you!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Hi guys,The temperature thing seemed to be a data issue. Let's watch and see if it happens again.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

This may have already been reported...The min/max visibility setting are not maintained between activations of AS4. I set min=0 and max=75. Exited AS4 and came back in - they were cleared. I thought that perhaps the min=0 was a problem so I tried min=1, same result. And a recurring theme ...For the second flight in two days refreshing continued to cycle back-to-back-to-back ... until I landed at the destination. It was a short flight KSFO-KSAN and everything was ok for about 1/2 hour (1 hr flight. Also, KSAN was reporting 10SM -RA, yet I did not get actual 10SM conditions until on short final - approx 1/2 mile from touchdown. Flight plan loaded and TAF disabled, Route-Based Wind Smoothing disabled, Enforce visibility limits (min 0 max 75), Force Destination Wx Zone enabled, Auto global write toggle enabled, update suppresion enabled (9000 ft, 100 m), local range suppression enabled.-michael

#1. New one and I just confirmed your finding.#2. YepHope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

I continued to troubleshoot my problem with disappearing cloud cover that I posted previously in this thread.I decided to narrow the problem down by first making sure it was not an FS9 issue. What I found was indeed it was an FS9 issue!I found this out as follows. I manually loaded the weather that I was using into FS9 via the FS9 customized weather feature. I then flew the test flight I have been flying WITHOUT AS2004 running. I got the same results. Cloud cover at my destination disappeared as I flew toward my destination. Wondering what could be causing this, I tried varying FS9 settings each time repeating my test flight with the same results. One time I reset my FS9 cloud draw distance to maximum (80 miles). That did it. No more disappearing cloud cover. My destination weather stayed exactly as I loaded it when I began the flight. To confirm I had found the problem I flew my test flight with AS2004 running with default options. Bingo. My destination weather stayed consistent and I landed in the conditions specifed in the AS2004 metar.I wonder if this information might be useful in your quest to resolve the cloud pop issues some continue to experience.Of course maximizing cloud draw distance in FS9 tanked my framerates. I'm hoping the the max visibility setting in AS2004 (I'm going to try it at 20) might help me recover framerates with the FS9 cloud draw distance at max.Anyway, just wanted you to know my original issue was not an AS2004 issue. Hope this information might be useful and sorry for having you chase a rabbit.

Before installing the beta, my AS2004 "Import Plan" option went dirctly to the last used location. In my case this was My Docs on a second PC (my simming PC).It was handy because FSNav (on simming PC) will not export a plan to a different PC so the fact that AS2004 could remember the location saved browsing there. Not a major problem on the scale of things, but it was one thing less to do.martin

Well,Of course the area I'm flying in is almost a torture test (West Africa) due to the scarcity of stations and occasionally "interesting" metar reports, but here's what I found:aloft temps passed on to FS9 are still way too hot. Ok, granted, I am over Africa on my way from DNMM (Lagos) to FACT (Capetown),climbing through FL250 I had a TAT of +22

Can there not be a simple option to use Vatsim wx en route ?i.e without a FPI don't see how this puts additional loads on vatsim servers as you would have been using the d/load access in any case through Squawkbox. The option to use vatsim wx in SB has to be dissabled when using AS2004 so why cant AS2004 just take its place.Joining an online vatsim session is already like planning a polar expedition, before even starting to load AS2004.BTW I am not a moaner and am happy with things as they are.Just trying to make things quicker and better :-)Martin

FSNav on the simming PC exports a flightplan for me. You have to ensure the drive is mapped and that you have established a link with it over the LAN by clicking on the icon in My Computer. Then the mapped drive shows in the list of available export destinations and you can export to your hearts content.Andy b

Cheers Andy.........will look into that. It's just that "network Places" don't show for me in FSnav 04 as an option..........I get it in all other progs though. But will give it a go if I can find the mapping option.Martin

INteresting, turned off vatsim updates and my wind speed and temps are back to normal...
