December 20, 200718 yr For all those with Nvidia cards, they have a fix. I just downloaded the new driver for XP which is 169.21. No longer a beta but Whol. certified. Those that have had problems with SP2,XP and a Nvidia cards I think they have fixed it. I have tried everything I can to make it fail and can't. I have shutdown and restarted my machine and it continues to work fine. Hope this works for you. Let us know what happens with you.Bob G. December 20, 200718 yr Author The problem was this. When you switched from the windowed mode to full screen you would get a CTD if you tried to open the menu. I:E click on "options" etc. Bob G. December 20, 200718 yr Using Acceleration, XP,& DX9 these new drivers have fixed my CTD's when accessing the menus in full screen mode. I'm happy again!
December 20, 200718 yr Do these drivers work with nHancer?Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
December 20, 200718 yr The 169.25's are now officially released and are WHQL for those of you who don't like to use beta drivers.
December 20, 200718 yr Author I orginally posted this thread in the FSX forum but it got moved over here. I would think it would help more people over there than here.Seems like I just keep seeing posts over there about how bad SP2 is and is there anything they can do.Just my opinion. Bob G. December 20, 200718 yr They are WHQL so I would assume they are. I just switched from ATI to Nvidia and haven't installed nHancer yet. Maybe this weekend.
