A lot of information, even on FSX related issues. One issue, the problem with Alt-tab:ing in full screen mode, is not a driver issue according to nVIDIA. I'll admit, I haven't tried these officials yet. I did try the beta version of these last week I think and it seemed to stutter more than the previous officals.I'm curious about you folks having the menu problems. I'm wondering if it is the same issue that I found a while back. I use nhancer and I notice if I use AA 2x or 4x, some of the menus don't show up... Just a black screen which makes it seem like it is locked up (although I think it is there, just hidden). If I use 8xS, then I have no problems with the menus.

That did it, except due to some weird bug in the game, the game runs 5-10 FPS slower with frames locked. So I unlocked it and tryed again, and this time I got no stuttering and better frames, which has left me completely confused.

I forgot to exit full screen before ending a flight. Whe I tried to start a new flight, got the FSX needs to close error CTD.Now I cannot even start a free flight. At 100% loading ,it gives me the error report message.When is the PS3 version coming out?Ive had enough of this cra*.Been tinkering since Microprose f-19 but never had so much trouble as with FSX.Nvidia points fingers at MS which point at them. Those who are blessed amd dumb lucky point at us.

I don't have ANY of the problems you describe with my hardware and driver listed below. For those that use Windows XP, I have been using the 175.63 version on the beta drivers from the Nvidia site. I have a 7950GT card and had problems with SP2 CTD when using it in the full screen mode. So far, I have not had a problem with this driver. If you have an older card in the 7 series, this may work for you also. Bob G.

Its not just FSX but the entire pc gaming industry.I had 2 weeks off so went and spent $150 on 3 new shooters.2 of them I could not even get to run.$100 wasted.But not before tearing my hair out and spending countless hours blaming my computer and trying to "tweak" it.Rainbow6 Vegas 2 had a patch released the same day it went on sale.It refused to regonize my 8800gt card even though their requirments program had a green check by it.I was actually told to reinstall windows as a possible fix.Gears of War makes you connect to and join a MS gaming service. If you do not, you cannot change settings or save games.When I went to their forums, the tech problem forum was over 150 pages.Most were filled will flames and alot of heartaches.I never even got to the load screen as my computer as alot of others,couldnt/wouldnt connect to their server.Betreen xp/vista ati/nvidia amd/intel and the other countless variables, Im surprised most games run at all.I was 1 out of 3.

I'm sayin' you have a config problem of the highest magnitude :)You ought to have FS_GS go thru your rig, top to bottom. So I am ready to destroy my computer then decided to delete and let FSX rebuild the .CFG file.Loaded FSX,reset my settings.I TRIED but couldnt get FSX to CTD or freeze no matter how many times I alt entered to desktop or dragged down a menu,changed planes ,location.I am guessing eventually a program will load or a .dll from something will run and my problems will start again.I had the same problems with the 7900gt,7900gtx and 2 different 8800gts.I am still occassionally getting garbled atc text. Sometimes,certain plane tool tips when moused are black boxes.All my previos cards did it also.I think its the hardware/software combination.Who knows.....Its such a fragile situation when just one bios setting,one checked box can create BIG problems.Currently I run a Asus MOB/nvidia based driver system.My best freind owns a computer store and I get Asus AMD products his cost.He pushes AMD Asus but I am going Intel not only for performance reasons but I feel the compatability will be better.My big decision is if I want to jump to Vista.

Vineguy,Thanks for this info, I to have the 7950 in my FX(SP2) rig running the Accelleration(sp2) FSX version; I'll have to give this bird a try...after all it's just a few hours of my time to loose lol!
