I couldn't get this driver, nor the control center, to function on my rig after repeated tries - what a waste of time - farking Nvidia. I used the XG flavor (not WHQL) and not an issue. Just takes a couple of minutes to download, uninstall your old driver and install the new one. 15 minutes tops. Unless you have a dial up modem. I hope you have the same luck as me. Bob G.

I was using the 174.74 betas and NHancer with good results.Now with these drivers I can't select "Super Sampling 8XS", 8XS is a choice only under "Combined mode".And using super sampling 4X4 KILLS frame rates (something that never happend before).Scratching my head here.....

How about 8xSQ? 8xS is 1x2 SS+4x MS. 8xSQ is 2x2 SS+4x MS. I heard it gives quite a bit of performance hit though. Is it worth it?

Is it>worth it?Hello BoeingGuy,The only thing I can say is that if the graphical quality looks better to you and its worth it to you....then its worth it. With that being said give it try and see how you like it. 8xs has always seemed to work best for me so thats what I've stuck with.

Did you know Nvidia has a display settings>setup made specifically for FSX? These settings should not be>changed and AA/AF should remain at "Application Controlled". Hi Jim,Where can I find this display settings setup?Werner

Plain stock vanilla Nvidia drivers and I cannot get NO aa/af.The Nhancer solution works for me now but not 100%.The screen is as good as its going to get.I still have to alt/enter if I want to go to desktop to make a change or when I exit a flight.My menu crashes have gotten alot better but I simply do not risk it and alt/enter anyways.My text has also cleared up.Yes, I run all the popular system tweaks and maintain the HD.All in all though, with all the addons I run, except for the crashes, I am happy.Bought the Iris PC-9 and even with the detail and crt loaded pits, runs pretty good.My best freind who owns a computer store LOVES flight simmers.He sees then everyday and together with the 1st persons shooters and the hardcore oc,tweaker,3dmark gang, make him good $$$$.He tells me all the time, "Its not your computer but the da* games you run.I have also had some bad luck.Lost everything a month ago due to a total Raptor 150b HD failure.The last few days, I was geting a "ding ding" sound and m7 expensive Logitech GS laser mouse with adjustable weights would freeze up, then suddently start back.I just KNEW it was FSX related and spent hours trobleshooting.Of course,EVERY search you do has something to do with spyware or viruses. They try to scare you to death into buying their program.I ended up figureing out the mouse had a short in it and since use the mouse alot in FSX, thats where the problem was worst.Botttom line- Mice + Gravity + harwdwood floors = trip to Best Buy.While their I also bought X-Plane 9.AAAAhhhh, Nah Not even going to get started.Lets just say, MS has nothing to worry about.

I am on xp,sp2 with fsx/sp1/sp2.Problem is , the latest addons require sp2.I have NEVER had problems with Active sky but when I reinstalled it, it refused to install and I had to reinstall sp1 because of the net version sp1 installs.Took 2 days to straighten it out and now I think I am going to remove Asx YET again.It would be nice to be able to run without Nhancer cause it looks like it eats memory as well.Other than the occasional CTD, the only problem "knock on wood" I cannot solve is the runway/taxiway wavies especially from a distance.One the ground up close they look good.

You guys know that nhancer is just a gui interface to the nvidia control panel right?Now nhancer sets a few extra settings that the control panel doesn't but once you get all the settings the way you need/like them - you don't have to keep nhancer running.Thanks.

This driver crashes my Vista64 rig when attempting to go into Windows Mode from Full Screen.
