May 31, 200917 yr Hello there,I have read not statement about the next update for the MD11.I know you are very busy on the BAE (but I do not have FSX so I will not fly on it yet) but I wanted to know if you plan to release a fix to the ILS interception (which was not totally fixed by the first patch).Maybe you are working on many other updates (polar navigation and so on) and you wait for this completed before release it? Thank you for any statement around this.Regards.
May 31, 200917 yr I don't know the plans, but I do know we are keeping track of the bug reports. Dan Downs KCRP
May 31, 200917 yr Hello there,I have read not statement about the next update for the MD11.....In this post (2 days ago) Robert had the following to say:MD11:====We've had a few folks ask if there is another MD-11 update in the works. Not at the moment. Right now the development agenda is focused on the J41 and the NG2.0. I anticipate another update, but there is no ETA for that at this time. Right now the development agenda is focused on the J41 and the NG2.0. I anticipate another update, but there is no ETA for that at this time.I was disappointed about that! I dont understand that either. The MD-11 is a great product, no doubt! But we are having "quite some issues" to work on.Another one from today: 2 ENG inop scenario, the HYD system does NOT turn on both RMPs with the HYD system in auto mode, when you extend the slats. This is an important feature. The consequences page is not showing the correct msg's during this scenario.Flying with 2 ENGs inop, I was not able to maintain the appropriate speed (LDG weight 190, ALT 4000ft. OAT 10 C, clean, level flight!!). Imagine, you are supposed to be able to fly a missed approached with this weight according to the certification.Another one: crossbleed start with the AIR sytem in auto mode: watch the SD AIR page- system behavior is not correct. Can I put it this way, please? You are aiming very high, i.e. you programmed the increasing level of HYD fluid in system 3 after gear retraction, but you dont see a reason for a further improvement/ update? You know I am big fan of your products, so please, let some people continue to work on the "11".I would like to add one more thing: a lot of people here, contributing to this product with knowledge/ experience and time testing this software FOR FREE, you should use this resource! Many Thanks for your time to read this:-)TomCan we get a thread, showing the items which are "on" for the next update? May 31, 200917 yr EGPWS and WX radar, when are we taking about for???The most real FS aircraft ever deserves this features It isnt?Cheers
May 31, 200917 yr Oh boy...WX radar CANNOT be properly simulated in FS. You won't see it.If we got EGPWS, most people would disable it because of the frame rate hit.Paul
June 1, 200917 yr I would like to see the Dome light working properly. I notice In FSX there is a switch that turns on lights for the circuit breaker panel. Now this is pretty cool., but I cant figure out why this panel needs to be lit, as the panel has no real function other than eye candy, that hardly EVER would be used, in the sim or in REAL life. Perhaps we could use this light for the domes instead and MAKE the Circuit breaker panel turn on after engine start.Peter Osborn Peter Osborn
June 1, 200917 yr Another one from today: 2 ENG inop scenario, the HYD system does NOT turn on both RMPs with the HYD system in auto mode, when you extend the slats. This is an important feature.I have to correct my statement here: the RMPs will be turned on with Auto Slat Extension ASE, but they should be turned on anyway during landing phase, whenever any HYD system pressure is lost ( I think as soon as the press is difference is 150-300Psi- they will be turned on). Other conditions will also cause them to turn on, i.e. any N2 < 45%...In the PMDG sim they are turned on automatically if you select HYD sys Manual, this is not correct.Another one: Cargo Fire Lwr_; the Caro Fire Agent Disch Switch is not flashing.RGDS CU, Tom Morello- FSX SP 2, WIN 7, 64Bit.
June 1, 200917 yr Another feature/bug: When on ground, with the APU on, and no hydraulic pressure, if you do pushback the ground asks you to set the parking break. So you activate the aux pump from the pedestal and the pressure raises. Then you set the parking break, and everything looks ok. Then you start the engines, release the parking break, and start taxiing... and despite you have hydraulilc pressure, the brakes won't work. If you switch off the hyd pumps then the brakes will work, but not the rest of the hydraulic systems...Not fun!/Javier Martinez
June 1, 200917 yr EGPWS and WX radar, when are we taking about for???The most real FS aircraft ever deserves this features It isnt?CheersThe more important question is: Will people ever learn not to ask for a WX radar in PMDG's aircraft after it has been stated countless times that they will not include one since the MS Weather engine is not sufficient to build a realistic working radar around it.Karsten

Stating in the beginning, which items are ruled out for whatever reasons. How about that?RGDS CU, Tom Morello- FSX SP 2, WIN 7, 64Bit.
June 18, 200916 yr Hello Francois, Maybe you are working on many other updates (polar navigation and so on) and you wait for this completed before release it?Although I have completed the Polar Navigation not with the FMS but with manual CWS, I'm looking forward to updating of the Polar Navigation at first.Mr. Frantzeskakis has said before as below:.Sam,Other than the change to TRU mode the polar navigation functionality is not implemented in the current version of the MD-11. It was on our list but didn't make it for the release version. We add it in the next update. I am not sure if FSX has overcome the pole crossing problems that FS9 exhibited, but we will check that as well.Sincerely,Kan-ichiro Fushihara
