June 7, 200916 yr This is my first try at the tutorial and I'm not having any luck getting a block fuel to read 30.0 after I hit the LSK 1R on the weight Init page 2. The UFOB that I show is .7, the same as the TAXI 0.7 and when I hit the LSK 1R, it reads out 7.0 and not the 30.0 that the tutorial states it should read, and the TOCG never calculates to 20.7 and remains 'blank'....Something is not right. The CG does display on the ND @ 16.0 with the STAB yellow-blocked @ 3.0......My fuel in the 3 tanks is each showing 2350. I must point out that I am indeed using metric in the 'Add-ons\ PMDG options set-up but I'm not familiar with metric systems. I assume that I have a total fuel supply of 7050 kg of fuel or is this wrong also. Can anyone help me with this or should I wait for a tutorial in pounds to emerge from some kind-soul in the flightsim community. I love the MD-11 & only wish I could set it up with the correct read-outs per the tutorial. I did notice one other thing that was quite unusual and that was when I put the numbers in the load-manager tool. I did exactly like it instructed me to but did not end up with the TOGW weight of 207.435 & TOCG of 20.6, however, I did get the correct 178.115 and the ZFW of 15.6.Regards,jack

I can't find a picture of the complete overhead panel to determine how much is in each tank, but it should be more than the 2350 per tank that shows up in the Tutorial. Can somebody tell me what each of the main tanks should read in kilograms etc..jackHi,You can use thew Opions menu (fuel) to state the amount of fuel you need, or use the refuelling option in the FMC.It seems to me that you indeed used the loadmanager, but forgot to refuel the plane?WijnandAh, thanks for that tip. It did not say in the Tutorial that I needed to do that. I thought the fuel would be included in the "saved-tutorial-flight" program. What should each of the tanks read?Regards, jack
June 7, 200916 yr I have another question regarding the Load Manager, and that is: "What do the figures in the fuel selector column mean? My numbers are as follows: Current: 77.000 and Max: 108.553 What units are these in and do they automatically get transferred to FSX when you hit the "Send to FSX" button???jack
June 7, 200916 yr OK,I think I know why my FMC readings on the fuel block times did not give me the correct CG of 20.7 in the Tutorial and that is that in the Tutorial, it did not mention that I had to compute my own FUEL levels for the flight. I thought that the Tutorial I sav. program took this into consideration but apparently it was not mentioned in either the Tutorial edition or anywhere else. Is this much correct?jack
June 7, 200916 yr Commercial Member Jack, did you load the mentioned panel state? The panel state is what will get your fuel loaded automatically.Regards,Markus Markus Burkhard
June 8, 200916 yr Markus,Thanks for the reply. I could have sworn that I loaded the Tutorial I for the 'panel state' but after I went through the procedures again, the fuel readings were correctly set at 10,000 for each main. Anyways, I did the Tutorial and on the approach with the loc & g/s captured...I think....the A/P disengaged around 100 ft, or that's what I'm guessing, and the rest of the story is history......:( Don't know what happened here as it was awfully quick..Anyways, I'll try it again and look to see if indeed I get the green "Dual Land" indication and the 'Green Box' on the EAD. Other than my tragic loss of an MD-11, the aircraft is indeed a masterpiece. Thanks to all the PMDG team for an incredible endeavor. Looking forward to the NGX.:)Regards to all, jack
June 8, 200916 yr You got a lot farther than many did on their first tutorial flight. Good job. Give her another try. Dan Downs KCRP
June 8, 200916 yr If you get a ground proximity warning for a time the autopilot will disconnect... happens sometimes, seems a bit 'tetchy' at times. Probably why I hand fly the last bit most of the time lol. Just remember to arm the speedbrake before landing... and reverse thrust else you'll need most of Switzerland to stop. At least you managed to get off the ground. some can't even start the plane lol.(Saying that I've only just found the sliding sunshades for the side windows lol)John Ellison
June 8, 200916 yr Now here's a really dumb zingger.....Where's the clock? I still can't find it!!jack
June 9, 200916 yr It's on the EAD. (That circle in the top right corner.)Kevin Manley Kevin M. Manley

I searched for them a long long time and clicked everywhere I could, but to no avail. I reckon they also work in VC? Eric [FSX on Windows7 64-bit]

June 9, 200916 yr I think it was either Vince or Tabs that said in FS9 they reach the poly count and had to be left out along with some other things. Nathan
