  1. You mean this one???? http://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2015/11/04/Plane-diverted-when-smoke-alarms-triggered-by-farts-from-2186-sheep/1171446654884/ Gives a new meaning to the phrase; "pressurised cabin"! Regards, Wijnand Lindelauf (EHBK)
  2. Hello, There is a guard against too high CC spendings. It is called "Marriage".  It is voice-activated "Ido" and from there on your CC is safe!!!! Regards, Wijnand Lindelauf (EHBK)
  3. Hello everyone, could someone please explain the differences in these fuel systems? I di a search om google, but got no answer. Thanks, Regards, Wijnand Lindelauf (EHBK)
  4. Hello Cliff, you also might consider watching some videos, for example Kyle Rodgers here in the forum, or "frooglesim" on youtube. They also give detailed explanations. (Be careful though when you "google" for PMDG 777 video's on the internet: a lot of people post video's; not all of them are of the same quality). There is also a company ("Angle of attack") they make very detailed video's, it's is payware. Don't worry about the learning curve: this simulation is so very detailed, you learn something every flight. Sometimes I wonder if Mr Randazzo himself is staring at some EICAS message and asks himself what it means. You also can learn a lot from other people's questions her in the forum. Happy landings, Regards, Wijnand Lindelauf (EHBK)
  5. Hello Matthew, I had the same problem many times on different aircraft. In my case I had to recalibrate all "nose wheel steering" or "rudder" as assigned in FSUIPC. That worked for me, at least. Good luck.
  6. Reading this at 8 o'clock AM (local time) I really happy with my coffee  Thanks for the pictures. Regards, Wijnand Lindelauf (EHBK)
  7. Hello everyone, For those who are interested: Saturday 25 July 2015: The worst storm in Holland since many years, a 737-800 from Transavia had already made 3 go-arounds, so fuel is low and they must land!. many flights were already cancelled that day, trees were torn from their roots like matches (killing 1 person). My compliments to this crew!! I never saw a 737-800 landing flapless before! regards, Wijnand Lindelauf
  8. I am a Dutchman, but I agree: the old style (in my humble opinion) looked better! Wijnand, EHBK
  9. Hello people, normally I don't post here often, but we had to say goodbye to Tom Allensworth and as it happened I came across this video and I thought that (at least in my opinion) this a nice way to remember or honour him. It doen not matter that the plane in the video is from another developer (it is not PMDG!!) to me the video symbolises the cycle of life. Regards, Wijnand Lindelauf (EHBK)
  10. Tom, from me and my family, we wish you strength and courage in this situation. Amazing that you consider Avsim more important than your own health. Wijnand, Wilma and Thomas Lindelauf (EHBK)
  11. Agreed 100%!! Your work en efforts are appreciated!! Regards, Wijnand Lindelauf (EHBK)
  12. Hello everyone, just a question: You can right click the CHR button (on the clock) in order to activate time compression. But what if your plane uses the (new) analoque clock? Is there another clickspot? Regards, Wijnand Lindelauf (EHBK)
  13. Great Story!! Does it have a happy ending? And they played long and happily ever after? You should make a living as "the storyteller!" Regards, Wijnand Lindelauf (EHBK)
  14. Hello Mr Randazzo, Ok, I am not original and certainly not the first one!! But it is truly meant anyway: from Holland, all the best with your surgery and a speedy recovery. You do remind me of Ralph Tofflemire, he was working on a 747 classic for FS9 (in 2002 I if memory serves), got an operation and a week later was already preparing a realease. (I hope this is not a trend amongst developers, otherwise this business is not good for the health! :( Good luck!!! Wijnand Lindelauf (EHBK)
  15. Hi Matthew, I came across the same problem yesterday, as it turned out I had a button on my Saitek Pro Yoke programmed as the MIC button, but did not set "repeat while pressed". Have you checked if this is indeed set? Regards, Wijnand (EHBK)
  16. Hello, I used to be hard-core" 2D fan, mainly because I found the navigating in 3D very cumbersome and besides, in the MD-11, 747 and Level-D 767 for me the 2D was much more clear and readable than the VC. But with the J41 and the 737NGX I bought EZDOK, and now I am totally "converted". The MD-11 and 747 I stil fly in 2D, because my first VC was as mentioned J41 and 737NGX; so the "old" VC's looked not so good in comparison. The ability in EZDOK to look around (especially when taxiing!), and to create viewpoints is a great plus. Regards, Wijnand Lindelauf
  17. Now that you mention it, GA aircraft usually have Hobbs meters which indicate the engine hours. I never saw something similar in airliners. Maybe some data are sent via ACARS? Regards, Wijnand (Edited for typo)
  18. +1 I don't post here much, but I fully agree with Benzhangar. Kyle, Jane and all the other betatesters: Don't let this "knowitall's"get to you. I am convinced that the large majority of simmers who are awaiting this release, are just glad to see you guys showing us all these video's and pictures (even you have never heard of them or seen them posting). I remember about 7-8 years ago, when PMDG was about to release thet 747-400 IIRC. A coffeestain appeared on my monitor, when someone complained about a bug: the number of pax-windows, being one or two off in comparison with the real thing. These will posts always be. (Maybe in the 747V2 this bug will be corrected? ) Regards, Wijnand Lindelauf

  20. Does your wife by any change knows mine???? It seems they have a lot in common!  Wijnand (EHBK)
  21. Congratulations and all the best for the future! Thanks (you and your team) for this great addition in our fantastic hobby. Greeting from Holland (the country I believe which is the last to fly pax on the MD-11, at least in 2013!) Wijnand Lindelauf
  22. Hello,do you by any change use Ezdok with camera's assigned to CTR-1, CTRL-2, etc?In that case, make sure that those keyboard assignments are removed in the options, controls menu in FSX, because they turn the nav audio's on and off.Furthermore, (bug in FS), CTRL-4 cannot be removed via options, controls. You have to assign this to a unimportant function, like tail hook or something.Hope this helps,Wijnand (EHBK)
  23. +1Just the other day a friend of mine complained about a "sickness" as he called it: many people are no longer thankful and happy for what they do have, they only look at what they don't have.Happy landings,Wijnand (EHBK)
  24. Hi there, I had the same problem. I use EZDOK camera and CTR 1, 2 etc for the 3d panels.these commands however, also turn on/off the VOR IDENT etc.So, I disabled the commands in FS options menu (Controls, RADIO) and I still got the noise. As it turns out, there is one item MISSING in the list of radio-controls in FS, namely the DME ident on/off.(CTRL 4)This thing would go on/off beeping each time I selected CTRL 4, which is the FMS in my configuration. So, since I could not disable the command in FS, I simply selected a command I never use(in this case "ADF select") and assigned it via "change assignment": CTRL 4.You get a warning that this command is already assigned to DME ident on/off,just go ahead. This way you gave the command to something innocent, so to speak, and the DME ident is off. My advice is to do this with the default cessna selected, and the master radio on.You will see the light "DME ident" on the radio panel going on/off with CTRL 4.Make sure it is off, before you change the controls. Good luck, Wijnand LIndelauf (EHBK)
  25. Hi Guys, for those of you who are interested: I ordered the Captains set (737NGX) mid -august, via UPS Express mail. It took exactly two weeks before the package was delivered at my place.I live in Holland, about 25 km east of EHBK. Everything was in good order. Fantastic reading!! I had to think back to the good old days of Bruce Artwick and his FS for the Commodore 64.The 737NX's documentation in PDF alone is in Mb als large as many thousands of this first FS program!! As serious flightsimmers I guess that we will be learning for a long time to come! Happy landings, Wijnand Lindelauf (EHBK)
