Yesss!! Where's my cc? Seems like ages since we had any FSX scenery let alone Tongass. :(

Yes, it's out, go here: http://secure.simmarket.com/fsaddon-tongass-fjords-x.phtml . I'm downloading right now, it's 1GB. The Simmarket site was slow as hell but the download is fast, getting about 750kb/s.27.95 Euros, 45$ something CAD.I haven't even seen an official announcement yet, lolEdit:Announcement here : http://fsaddon.eu/wpfsaddon/2009/06/tongas...-x-is-released/From the announcement:

You can download the Flight1 wrapper version for $35 US as well. http://www.fsaddon.eu/fsaddon-products/ton...FSAD-TFX-F1.exeIf me saying that here violates any rules, my apologies.

If you love bush flying and/or flying in Alaska, Tongass Fjords X is a must have addon. It is absolutely gorgeous. My hats off to Holger and Bill. Great work guys!!! I'll be eagerly awaiting Misty Fjords. :( Regards,Bob Modrowski

Sweet!! I'm just loading FSX back up after a year or so, and I remember wishing this was out for FSX back then. :( Oh no, looks like the addon charges are about to start again! :( JerryT

It's totally worth it. It's just gorgeous. The detail will take your breath away. You'll soon be thinking that you can pick up pebbles from the creek beds. I got it yesterday, and I have been obsessed with it since then.

Lose not thine airspeed, lest the ground rise up and smite thee.

I agree with you. Great product and there

Looks very nice but how do you guys navigate over these kinds of sceneries? Do you buy VFR charts? Or do you use some program to dispay them on-screen? Or do you just "cheat" using the GPS? Not a lot of VORs in this area...

Honestly, I get in top down view or map, I look at the airport I want to go to, and a valley/river/road etc that goes from point A to point B

Yep, VFR seat of the pants is the most fun. Getting this today, those screenies look fantastic. :( JerryT

JimmiThere is a map (html format) included in the Tongass documentation. Some airports have links airnav.com, such as Sitka http://www.airnav.com/airport/PASIYou'll find sectional charts at airnav.com
