The Motherboard is a ASUS P6T7 WS as shown in the right screenshot. Will show you the BIOS Settings this evening, as soon I'm back at home. But be aware that your Chip and Motherboard may need different settings, so I can you only get a clue. What Mobo do you have?

Fantastic results!!!-Watercooled?-Which PC16000 RAM?Looking forward to seing your Bios settings!

Hi there mate, same board as you mate P6T Deluxe V2, i core 975 , DD3 2000mhz GTX dominator 8-8-8-24 . BFG h2/o 295 gtx , Thermaltake Refrigerated Xaser case , 1300 Tagan Power, western Digital 10,000rpm drive. Just Been Built Yesterday and I want to overclock it to 4.6 if possible. Please can you Post your motherboard settings so I can Compare with mine, Have you ran OTTC or Prime 95 to see if the rig is 100% Stable & what are your temps ?Which memory are you using and at ehat settings . all this info would help me get the most out of my 975 as I am New to Overclocking. Thanks again AndyR

Hi AndyRIt seems you have a good combination of hardware. You can see the MB-Settings at the pictures in my post above. :( I'm using linx for testing the stability of my oc. If your oc is stable with prime then it is not sure that FSX will also be stable. You can see the memory (OCZ Blade 2000MHz 7-8-7-20) I'm using in my sig. While running FSX the Temps are 65C, with linx running they are 75C. Good luck and much fun for your overclocking sessions!GreetingsCrash

Oh, will show how to get out of this issue.Your CPU have 6.4 GT/s and the 950 only 4.8. Not sure if this makes a huge different for FSX but it is possible...

Hi crash, been overclocking all day with 975 and sweet spot seems to be 4.3ghz @ stable. Not bothered with any other settings yet here is what I have adjustedmulti x33bclk 143cpu volt 1.35vcpu pll autoqpi/dram 1.60vioh autoioh pcie autod ram buss 1.66vall other settings are the same as your bios settings, temps 30c idle .100%= 75c-80c. By the way mate forget the thermaltake xaser refrigerated case for cooling, it has not performed any better than watercooling rig and there advertising temp,s are untrue to say the least. I was expecting 100% load temps to be around 45c-50c.

What's the safe value range for Uncore voltage (aka qpi/dram)? Some places I see, intel's max spec is 1.35V. Other places, dram bus must be more more than 0.5V higher than uncore. http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?p=5988874With uncore at 1.35V I cannot get to BCLK 200. However with 1.5V I can. Is there a price to pay for these voltage levels?Simon

That's a good question! Some Vendors puts 1.6V QPI in their XMP-Profile, therefore I assume this should not damage any component. But also the combination with the other Voltages (CPU, PLL, IOH, ICH and VDIM) is very important. On the other side Intel specs are 1.35V for QPI.VDIM should stay within 0.5V to VQPI, not more. For example: If you set 1.2V QPI then VDIM should not set higher than 1.7V.Personally I will go to max. 1.55V QPI.

You are correct, I mistyped. So QPI=1.5V and DRAM=1.65V sits within the rules as far as I can see. Reassuringly (I think) the Asus bios shows the QPI value in yellow rather than red. When you get to red, it's over the limit (assuming the limits are correct).Simon
