Couple of possible bugs

Featured Replies

(edit: I should probably mention that this post relates to the JS41!)Running the cockpit prep procedure as per the AOM normal ops I've noted a few discrepancies:1) Under battery power, the fire detection test doesn't work, it only appears to work under ground power.2) Trying to engage the autopilot results in it immediately disconnecting itself, which means I am unable to test the AP DISC switch.I almost feel bad for mentioning this, it's almost like noting any possible fault with this kickass addon should be a crime!Cheers,James Culleton

James-No worry- we log just about everything (provided it is valid) so that we can:1) Find/verify/fix for a future update.2) Beat the developer (in this case Matt- who was told this about the fire test) for failing to get it right the first time.<picks up the cricket bat and heads off to Matt's desk>

Very good Robert =)I call it a "training stick" at work, so as not to offend any cricketers!

to reduce the amount of threads 1 more bug:yesterday, i started the tutorial, saved it. today i wanted to rewind the events so i started a new flight to setup the fms for a small flight.. after that i wanted to return to my saved tutorial, the flight plan was gone :-(.one more:in the tutorial it says: "Beginning down at the Cabin Oxygen indication, check to be certain that at least1600 psi."Well, my cabin oxygen indicator shows only 1300 PSI.

best regards,

and 3 further bugs1. Altimeter not adjustable below 1000hpa (it shows than 1090,1099,1098 )2.no To-Fr Flag on HSI for VOR-Navigation3.can not receive airport DME (Hamburg ALF=115.80 , L

Another small bug. On setting the ADF frequency, the small knob sets the decimal places OK, but the large knob only sets the hundreds and thousands places, but can't change the tens and ones . eg, can change 284.0 to 384.6 or 1484.9, but can't change 284.0 to 376.0).Am I missing a step to adjust the 2 digits?Ian Gross

Most unusual to see a cricket bat mentioned on that side of the pond, Robert! :( Iain Smith

Another one:Running prop anti-ice doesn't change the generator load, so one can't test their operation as per 1st flight after start checks. Could just be a sim limitation though.I also have experienced some strange behaviour surrounding the saving of flight plans. Will keep an eye on it.

Hmm, I noticed something similar. I can't tune the TG DME at NZTG (113.20). Does the box only tune DME's with associated VOR's? That doesn't sound right to me...

Exactly, only DME's with VOR's. I'd like to see a solution or else I'll have to go for a visual every time ;)

Piotr Święcik

Well if you go for a visual come hell or high water at least you're doing it like the real guys!

How's this for minor...On the hydraulics panel, the colors on the Reservoir Contents and System Pressure guages is backward. The red should be yellow and vice versa. (at least according to the manual, if the gauges are correct, then the manual has it backwards)Noah B.

1) Tuning the #2 VOR from the LH RMU doesn't seem to work. The freq changes on the display of the RH RMU, but the radio doesn't pick up. Cycling the frequency flip flop on the RH RMU will tune the radio properly. 2) The FMS seems to have some miscellaneous kinks. I tried to program a new FP last night, but the FMS just kept recalling a FP from a previous flight. When entering the new FP, it didn't seem to want to accept the departure waypoint and wouldn't allow a runway selection. After fiddling for a while, I seemed to get a new FP entered, but it still wanted to navigate on the older FP.-Lee

first of all i have to thank PMDG for giving me this nice turboprop, iam in love ;)...not shure if this are bugs or only on my system:- Aircraft, groundcrew, and cockpit status isnt saved while saving a situation, but it is loaded by loading the tutorialflight.- After selecting the J41, sound is limited for only the front channels. (SB Audigy with Logitech THX Quadrophonic System, XP SP2).- Line flickering (no anti aliasing) just below the glareshield angle and below arround the knobs and indicators (GPWS through Spoilers).Kindest regards
