I have to say that after seeing the Jetstream I was expecting something that spectacular :( Congratulations guys, can't wait for the release!

Well, have to admit - ******* saves. Tried this fix today and finally - no problems with MD11 anymore. I was able to get consistent crashes (missing textures/black screen) by loading the MD11 at a demanding airport (EGLL, KJFK, YMML) and switching some views, using the menu etc. FSX also crashed when using 2x time acceleration on long hauls - usually after 1-1.5 hrs. The only solution was to use dx10 preview which caused a lot of other problems. Now it seems to be ok. Still have to do some more testing but I'm already very happy with the results. Thanks so much!

I'd be very happy to see a remake of 747 VC. It would be so cool to see the Queen in JS41 quality.

Hi, I can't get reverse thrust to work properly. Engaging it is easy but when I want to go back to idle the aircraft makes a violent jump forward. RT is mapped to a joystick button with FSUIPC (decrease throttle, repeat). Any ideas how to correct that? Thanks in advance...

Dan, this thread is a bit old and you might have already chosen your GA aircraft, but if not - I can recommend you the Realair Duke. I think it's one of the coolest FS addons ever made. Very nice VC and the sounds are a masterpiece. Great for basic learning as the flight model is very realistic (turn coordination, slips, stalls, spins etc.) and I think it's the best plane out there for learning IFR.

I was experiencing the disappearing textures problem with every PMDG product. Switching to DX10 mode resolved all of them, I can alt+tab as much as I want and nothing happens. Unfortunately there were some well known problems with lights - the navs and beacons were invisible and landing lights didn't illuminate the runway. Strangely, installing an older NVidia driver (182.50) helped...

IMO the MD-11 is the best aircraft out there... Not only among PMDG products. I've tested quite a lot of addon planes but this particular one changed my whole world of flightsimming, I was simply shocked. As for the Jetstream, the VC is a masterpiece but it's not exactly the type of aircraft I like to fly. My expectations for the NGX are now very very high... If you combine the JS41 visuals and MD11 systems modelling and overall feel then you might get something really amazing.

Same issue here. I had to reinstall FSX today and now I'm unable to fly the MD-11. Seems that the website is down.

I also encountered some weird graphical problems (strange blue polygons flickering). The solution was to reinstall JS41, install the SP1 FIRST and all add-on liveries AFTER THE SP. Now everything is fine.

I'd be much happier if they made another good turboprop. For example, the ATR 600 is coming...

Mitchell, the VC buttons adjust the EHSI range, WXR range is set separately by using click spots (on the right of wxr screen).

David,installing the wxr is as easy as installing the JS41. Just a couple of clicks. Didn't notice any difference in FPS. The buttons in VC don't work, when you move your mouse over wxr screen 'invisible' click spots appear. The radar itself works good, you can see it in my screenshot for example, but it's not perfect. Still, all major thunderstorms and CBs are always detected.

I also have the same problem. There are two ways to solve this - turn on the FMS & input data after push and start or... do a powerback which is pretty cool :(

bjablonka, Zenra - I'm using RXP WX500. Fits into VC without any problems, it's an idiot-proof install. But you have to use click spots on the screen to operate it, the gauges won't work. The radar itself does a good job detecting storms and heavy turbulence. For example if you take a look at one of my screens (above rwy treshold) you can see a big cumulus in the distance. Take a look at the WXR screen, it's there.

Exactly, only DME's with VOR's. I'd like to see a solution or else I'll have to go for a visual every time ;)

I can't figure out how to input SIDs in the FMS VNAV page properly... Take for example MARIA2G SID, EPWA runway 29. The charted procedure has 4 waypoints and an altitude limit of 5k ft up to final waypoint MARIA, but ATC always gives a higher clearance right after departure so for example you can expect FL100 at MARIA. I would like to type it into VNAV page but I can't change SID altitude restrictions, they don't even get highlighted. Any suggestions?
