October 15, 200916 yr O_OHalleluja! That's great news. I have been waiting for this airplane type for ages. October 15, 200916 yr Iris is building one... read the news on their home page carefully...http://www.irissimulations.com/home.php-Alex
October 15, 200916 yr I hope it has a fully functional VC with gauge backlighting at night, and a quiet trader variant so I can fly TNT packages around Europe!
October 16, 200916 yr Iris is building one... read the news on their home page carefully...http://www.irissimulations.com/home.php-AlexWell, this is very interesting news.. I've been hankering for a HQ (read - fully VC!) BAE' for years - much as I loved the WIP's from the panel Project and Jon Murchinson, they only lacked that for me. I don't know too much from Iris - I see they have a pretty good reputation with simmers, but they've not (yet) built my kind of plane flavour. What are their products generally like? Edit - oh, and yes, FSX AND FS2004 would really benefit from one of these planes IMHO... Louise London, UK
October 16, 200916 yr Wow, that was unexpected too, but great news indeed! I found this video: I'm not sure whether they are using their own model, or another one (although the repaint has got an enormous "IRIS BAe 146-300" text on its sides...). Whatever the model, it's clear it's not finished yet, since it's got the default CRJ panel. October 25, 200916 yr What about this?http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii257/s...erheadfinal.jpghttp://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii257/s...ng/all3avro.jpghttp://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii257/safewing/afga.jpghttp://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii257/safewing/afge.jpgWould this be worth completing?
October 25, 200916 yr Any BAe 146 would be worth completing! Admittedly, if you could sharpen up these textures in the VC a bit, I think that would be a great plane. The exterior looks great, and that 2D panel you have there seems to have the detail many of us so dearly desire. So yes, by all means, complete it! And besides, we have no idea yet what the quality is of Iris's plane, and even if it'd prove to be good, having a freeware alternative would always be welcomed by the majority of people, if not all (I'm assuming it's freeware anyway). November 3, 200916 yr Paul_HReally great pictures. Will your aircraft be compatible with M. Lieberecht's panel?RegardsManfred
November 3, 200916 yr Yes as long as it has a working VC. Since FSX has no cockpit side views, I can't fly anything in FSX without a VC - it completly destroys the immersion factor for me. December 13, 200916 yr What about this?http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii257/s...erheadfinal.jpghttp://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii257/s...ng/all3avro.jpghttp://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii257/safewing/afga.jpghttp://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii257/safewing/afge.jpgWould this be worth completing?Paul i dont know if you even check this thread or forums but heres hoping you do..... It would be worth completing this project as a big BAe 146 fan i would have hours and hours and hours of enjoyment flying them not to mention it is a very unique regional/domestic airliner and deserves a place in FSX as well as FS9. I would love to hear any news on your 146s if any at all. I fly a lot of planes in flight sim but this one for me personally would be used a lot more than the others no matter who develops it as long as its not a certain payware one I bought which was complete rubbish only beacause I was desperate (the iris sims 146 i think will be a while before it is done ). If you have any news please let us know whether you will indeed continue.apologies for not coming on here a lot sooner but I didnt think in a million years you would pop up out of the blue like this :). I first got wind of your 146s else where :)anyways cheers and hope to hear form uTim Tim Johns
December 13, 200916 yr But I'd much rather have that A320 you're advertising!I second that!I really enjoyed the old Eurowings BAe 146 for FS2002/FS9, the one thing that really sticks in my mind was how smooth and pleasant it was for hand flying. I'd love to see a really well detailed one for FSX, but then again I'd also love to see a high fidelity 747 Classic and L1011.... I've been waiting years for a decent L1011 to satisfy my Tristar desires :( It's good news that Iris are going to do a 146, but bear in mind they don't seem to be aiming for the high fidelity end of the market, more "middle of the road". Keep an eye out for their CRJ which will probably give you a good indication as to what to expect from their 146. They also have lots of projects on the go right now, so we will probably have quite a wait for the 146 yet. Nick

I dont really care much if its middle road going by a lot of their other products it should still be Quite good when they get around to doing it again.. They are quite busy that I know, hence why i dont pester them about the 146 i will just be patient, this hobby needs a lot of patience LOLLove the fact you like the classics dude i love the classics as well Cheers Tim Tim Johns
