October 6, 200916 yr Did anybody do any tests about this? Measure FPS and stuff? Can anybody else confirm improvement?I turned HT on but got bluescreen since I OCd my i7 @ 4GHz and that took away all my joy so I turned it off. My performance is almost smooth as silk (more or less) just large areas with trees and big airports steal away a lot of FPS's... if I could get some more of those would be great. To Mike Swannick....enable HYPERTHREADING in your BIOS, and use JOBSCHEDULER with a mask number of 85 and watch your system kick (you-know-what!)===================================MitchMitch I am only going to post this one more time..what you and a few other are seeing is NOT the NORM.. great that you have found a value that may help but flat out, what you and a few others are seeing is something probably tied to VISTA and possibly a setting or addon you are running.. it is NOT the HOLY GRAILjust do everyone else knowsGlad you have found a workaround to what ever problem you were seeing but myself and about 25 others running i7 I have suggested try this are NOT seeing any change or benefit to running HT ON and AM=85to those who do not understand what is being posted.... with i7 a few prople have found ENABLE HYPERTHREAD and set JOBSCHEDULER to a affinity mask of 85 may trim out thread collisions and smooth FSXIF YOU OVERCLOCK be aware this will drive the temps UP and you need to re-evaluate your clock tempsalso be aware this has been looked at by more than just a few and it is my opinion those who see benefit are:a. Using Vista or W7b. Probably have another addon or setting in that addon which is manipulating the resultBob Scott also looked at HT and the different AM settings.. his results are very similar to minehttp://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?s=&...t&p=1644428I have found more users who see these stutters respond to Affinity Mask 14 better than 85 and they do not have to reduce their clock to run with HTThose are the facts..
