NO, I am not advocating another hack!!!I just fondly look back on the time after the hack when we had the temporary forum.We were all brought together under troubling times with a common bond.All the posts were friendly and positive.Those days appear to be gone.There is way to much bickering and insults being posted in these fora. I thought this was supposed to be a hobby (acknowledging some have commercial interests). Some of you take this (and yourselves) way to seriously, in my opinion.Anyway, this is something I have been thinking about for a while and just wanted to get it off my chest.Can't we all just get along?This is supposed to be fun and if your idea of fun is to get on a forum, under the anonymity of the Internet, and be just plain rude then I suggest you instead turn off the computer and go do something physical.Again, can't we all just get along?regards,Joe :( :(

I agree. These forums are a great place to learn and share information concerning our hobbies/interests and it's a shame that some people have to trash things with their twisted ideas of entertainment. If you're not going to enjoy flying and or simulation topics, please go away and leave others here to have some good discussions in peace. There are plenty of other places on the web to be a potty mouth, but no one should act like a petty juvenile vandal and wreck things for others. Grow up!

Please don't forget to hit the "report" button when you find someone out of hand in the forums... we try hard to make this a peaceful place to hang out, but we can't be in every forum every minute so we need your community spirit to make it work.

I've never even noticed that report button until you just mentioned it! I will be sure to use it if needed now.

I agree that the report function is a great tool for ALL members to help keep the forums civil. Here's a post in the FAQ forum by Tom.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=247963I check for reports hourly between 1300-0200 EST daily, and I know Stag, Geof and David check it when they're around as well. It's an ENORMOUS assistance when moderating, especially with a limited all volunteer staff.

When I compare with other fora (not only FS related) I can say that we have here a quiet and pleasant place to communicate, learn, exchange and have fun.From time to time there is a UFO that wants to land but generally he takes off very quickly!:--)Long life to Avsim and its members! :(
