Captainsim 767

Hi Andreas,You don't have the CS767 but it is simply a mocked up CS757 with all its bugs and weaknesses. Is it really fair to judge a product that you don't own?CS products are well known for their bugs and lousy flight dynamics, so how can someone filter these facts out?No bug with the 727, no more bug with the excellent C-130 and the 757/767 are definitly flyable despite some remaining minor bugs.I 100% second what Thralni said:CS767: Great visuals, the option to look at your entire plane from the inside, Intermediate system complexityLDS767: Lesser visuals but nice exterior model, plane that handles very realistically, advanced systems and extra features, like option to save panel state
Action speaks louder than than words, from the cs website forum, the current hot topic is to buy the cs767 cargo version, then copy sections of the aircraft.cfg file of the cargo version to the passenger version to fix the horrible flight dynamics issues with the passenger version of cs767.This is the hot topic over on cs767 forum on cs website. cs767 has great visuals and that is why i bother with it, but visuals dont matter if the plane flies like a stone.I have no plans to purchase the cargo version, but will keep tweaking the aircraft.cfg till the stone starts to fly like an air plane, or maybe ill just dump it.This is an opportunity for a profressional to produce a usable aircraft.cfg for all those who have cs767 at a cost.CS is not really paying attention to the flight dynamics , just the visuals, i realised this when my invetigation of thier latest anti rocknroll patch revealed it changes the value of auto spoiler from 0 to 1. auto spoiler = 0 in aircraft.cfg is the reason why all cs767 users have not been able to arm spoilers, but instead have to deploy manuallly after landing. To think they missed this out in the intial release, patch1, then patch2, then patch 3 , until patch 4.It opens the way for anybody to release any old crap in a hurry, and the customers will be happy as long as they keep patching up the crap.that said cs767 visuals job is second to non, shame it flies like a stone though.

Like a stone? Never witnessed that in my tests... If anything, I had the feeling it flew a lot easier, not heavier, or maybe I misunderstood what you said?

Actually, the patch took care of that and if people want to still fool around with their files (which I don't see now) that's their business. 1.3 with the patch is a very nice airplane. I have flown it exclusively since July and I have seen it get much better with each upgrade. Yes, it was pretty bad at first, but it is a different beast now. If it isn't clear from the above, the autospoiler arms normally now, and always armed via the handle in the vc.But it is true that Captain Sim releases, I suppose to generate revenue, then patches. If you want the latest, you're going to suffer some inconvenience, but you get to be among the first with the new toy. You always have the option to wait until a stable iteration is available. Right or wrong, that's the way the Captain rolls, and people might want to take that into account before snapping up 1.0 of the next product. (That advice goes for a lot of things, too, by the way.)Fortunately, the universe is big enough for two 767s and all their fans, too.

"De gustibus non est disputandi".I for my part know what I have with my LDS767. I comment on the CS767 even if I don't have it, simply because the evidence that it was created by slightly modifying the CS757 model is damning.Anyway, I wish the CS767 owners all the good so they can live well with their bird.Andreas

You'll lose some FPS with the Captain Sim 767, compared to the LDS one, or even the CS 757.
An update to this - with their latest 757 Captain Service Pack 4.4 and 767 Captain Service Pack 1.4, the framerates for the two Captain Sims are now comparable, and only about 10% less than that of the Level D. They have done this by greatly improving the FPS of the 767, and congratulations to them. Personally, and it'll be a wrench because we go back a long time, but I see no reason to stick with the Level D any longer. I'm not interested in simulated failure, the CS panel is nicer, it has a weather radar, and I can see and update the FMC within the VC, not in a separate window.

Do you need to uninstall all your paints/skins before installing the 4.4 update? I have the 757-200 and freighter edition.Thank You.

Additional question... can I update the navdata using airac cycles from Navigraph? If so, do they contain the terminal procedures? (SID/STAR).
