Returned to FS9 from FSX

Featured Replies

Hi allAfter over a year without Flight simulator I have decided to return, but not to the sim that caused me so many problems FSX :( no FS9 for me now,the PC I built for FSX runs FS9 without an hitch, and with help from my good friend and neighbor, Ken a BA virtual captain. I will soon be back in the clouds :( and with my namesake program REX,the winter wont seem that long this year as it did last year without the Sim.Best regardsRex. :(

FS9 works great.Windows XP works great. At least in my opinion. And then here we see the Win 7 and FSX crowd:

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Oh come on, don't be snobbish... I have seen plenty of FS9 people that were just the same.

Hi allI have to agree with you all,My days previously with both 2000 pro and 2004 I had little trouble that most could be put down to my mistakes and in experience and SLI problems. But with FSX I had the power but the program caused me real problems, that my friends called me the windows reformat man and my FSX disk was well used too :( So Like many more PC users My Vista disc is still unused and I can not see why I should change to Win7 when Win XP is so stable a platform to do all I require. RegardsRex.

Welcome back, I run Win 7 and FS9 & FSX. FS9 gets alot more time since my i7 just rapes it LOL. FSX runs ok but w/ the constant crashes, and instability on long hauls, i prefer FS9
