December 8, 200916 yr This is silly, but it has me locked out. I'm not sure I can do any better on subsequent tries. Maybe I'm going color blind. An audio option would be nice. Or a way to contact the forum administrator without signing up :-) I guess I'll try again whenever it decides to let me take another shot. Only in internet commerce. Can you imagine going to Best Buy?"I'd like to purchase this game.""Sure, sir. Please take this eye exam. Be sure to pronounce the Cyrillic and Arabic characters properly.""Uh... they're kinda hard to see, because they're printed pink on pink, some of them are upside down, they're six aisles away, and I don't read Arabic.""That's the whole point. A robot wouldn't put up with this. Just take the test, alright?""Well, squiggle, T-looking thing...""Sorry. You've exceeded your maximum tries, robot, er, I mean sir. Come back tomorrow and try again."
December 8, 200916 yr The visual model for QW looks like it's better than CS's. CS, I am guessing, has more animations (most of which I don't use), but the overall shape, wing-flex, etc.. just look better on QW aircraft (at least in the screenshots).Does the QW 757 have moving windshield wipers (internal and external)? Thanks! December 8, 200916 yr I agree that the QW looks great on the outside; they've really done a good job there. The inside is better than average, too. I thought the ground handling and flying were excellent. I think it has a lot of potential. One thing I hope the dev is able to do is resist the demands to make it more complicated. There are plenty of people who enjoy the basics of normal ops without getting too bogged down in details. If Captain Sim isn't your cup of tea, LDS is coming out with a 757 that will be complex, I'm sure. If I can get the things that are supposed to work working, I think the QW hits the sweet spot for me. I hope QW stays true to its motto of complexity simplified.
December 8, 200916 yr It will be more realistic probably, but not so much more that it will deviate from the original intention. If they ever decide to go all the way (which I doubt), they might put in an option to make the realism switchable. One of the things they are trying out, is to see if they can implement a way to save panel states. December 8, 200916 yr what kind of VC backlighting options are there at night? Is the dome light on all the time?
December 8, 200916 yr Nevermind found screenshots on the site. Looks great! I will be buying it this weekend!! Flying the freighter for UPS and Fedex (is there a fedex repaint?)
December 8, 200916 yr Yes, a Fedex repaint is available from the Liveries page, which can be accessed from the "download" menu. December 9, 200916 yr Which systems are not modeled? Whats so complicated about the systems? It takes me 10 minutes or less to go from cold and dark to INS aligned and FMC programmed in the Boeing environments (PMDG 747, LDS 767)If you don't want complicated set it to start up with engines running or APU power connected, don't demand less complicated just because you don't want it. THe more realistic the better.
December 9, 200916 yr THe more realistic the better.Congratulations - not for you excellent skills but for voicing your opinion and misrepresenting it as fact.I don't want to read a 300 page manual for every aircraft that I want to fly. Why is this so incredibly hard to comprehend?I know I am not alone. We are the silent majority. That would make it very unique. One advantage of having a basic version like this one is that (I haven't tried this yet) you may be able to set up an approach and save it, then re-open it later and for practicing approaches with an aircraft that is a whole lot better than default. This is something that is difficult to do with complex aircraft that require full startup procedures.Bob Robert Yunque PilotEdge Ratings = CAT-11 (2016-09-13) I-11 (2016-10-23) V-3 (2016-08-01)
