Short story. I bought their 757 on sale in Sept. and opened a support ticket regarding a VOR issue. Now 3 months later I got an email back saying my ticket has been reviewed and canceled because the issue had been mentioned by others before. To see it please refer to their knowledge base # 1004. So I logged in and searched. here is their KB#1004,"FS9 product: I experience a problem not listed in the KB."I thought it was insulting for 3 seconds then it became funny. :(

"If you can laugh when those around you are mashing their keyboards with their heads then you my son .............."Glad you see the funny side , and I have to admit , your post gave me a good laugh too :( Mark

Arrh, nothings changed then. Glad to see that the Captain Sim Customer Support is the same as it's always been.

Oh well. The FS9 version is unsupported for a long time, and they won't do anything about it anymore. It's about as useful as beating a dead horse. That said, even if there is a supported product, entering a support ticket is as useful as... well, you get the picture. Luckily, I never needed support.

Captain Sim produce what should be quality addons with great potential but they let themselves down seriously amongst the flightsim community by their (sometimes) appaling support and their attitude towards their customers. I had reasonable support from them with some 757 problems but then I purchased the boxed version of their C-130 (and the box is labelled both Just Flight and Captain Sim!) and later wanted to add one of the download expansion packs to this. I purchased this to find I could not install it and when I went to their so-called 'customer support' site I discovered that this could not be installed to the base boxed version of the C-130, which they essentially did not regard as their product or responsibility despite the fact that they allowed their logo on the box and I presume were getting royalties for the sales. "Support Ticket" / "Knowledge Base" - hilarious!

ha! Gotta love it :(

Oh my let's see...you can BUY it, but they don't SUPPORT it. It's like the FS Community exists in some weird alternate dimension. But I hear that Captain Sim's reputation is undeserved due to whiners always complaining.

Never had a problem with Captain Sim before. They even fixed the windshield wipers not moving on the 757-300 model when I reported it.I will continue to purchase from them. :(

VOR function in the ND was one of the things left broken after the last (final) patch, so I'm not surprised they reverted to the "Catch 22" method of product support for you, Jason. I also bought the 757 in September after the final patch, and it's okay, but a shame that they won't fix the remaining issues it has.

I bought some modules of the CS757 long time ago and I was very very dissapointed about the poor product quality and the lack of service. They will never ever see my money anymore :( Eric
