Nevermind, I found my answer to the GE Pro II versus GE Pro version... :(I will say this after running the 2.13 update GE Pro opens (or should I say doesn't open) with an error stating, "Runtime error 339, Component AniGIF.ocx or one of it's dependencies is not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid". So much for GE Pro II... :(

Well i have this one "Ground Environment PRO II ver 2.1.1"

My Specification: I CAN RUN FSX IN MAX SETTINGS....i don't care about dell, bell, amd, intel, 60000 wats power supply or alien made graphic card....

Actually, after looking into this further, BEV does allow you to choose between "default FS9 textures" or BEV textures on a texture-by-texture basis (as part of a "theme"). So if you modify the BEV "default" folder (after backing it up) with the textures you like from GE Pro II, you just might be able to pick the BEV textures you like by choosing either the BEV texture or the default FS9 texture (all of which have been modified to be GE Pro textures).I'll have to look into it further. I would expect though that it would be necessary to go with GE Pro textures for city and suburban areas, where it is important to maintain autogen alignment. However, I might be able to use BEV for rural, forest, and desert areas, as well as for airport textures and trees.

Yes, I too am a bit confused as well. I also have "Ground Environment Professional FS2004 V 2.0.1." Like jerryuscg wrote, is that GE Pro II that everybody seems to be impressed with?
Hello JerryGE Pro is at version 2.1.3 , GE2004 is at version 1.09 So I guess you have the Newer version , you just need to run the interface and update to get yours up to 2.1.3Latest version on the right:

Just a follow-up for anyone interested in merging GE Pro II with Bird's Eye View (BEV) (at your own risk). BEV let's you install their textures on an individual basis with a nice description of what each texture does. You can then either choose FS9 default texture or the BEV texture. The relevant FS9 default textures are stored in the BirdsEyeView\Backup\World folder. So first step, backup this folder. Then copy the files from your favorite GE Pro II user texture set (Ground Environment Professional\Texture Sets\X-XX-XX....\texture) into the BirdsEyeView\Backup\World folder. Then after you start the BEV program, the "FS9 default" choice will really be "GE Pro II choice." So you can choose between installing individual GE Pro II textures or BEV textures on a case-by-case basis and then save it as a BEV "theme."I'm using GE Pro II for urban and suburban areas in the big cities and for the urban areas in mid-size cities. Everywhere else, I use the BEV textures, which give me the canopy like tree coverage (one of BEV's strongest features) even in suburban (i.e., residential) areas. I also like BEV's rural and wilderness/desert textures at flight levels. Naturally, there might be blending issues when a GE II textures ends up being adjacent to a BEV texture, but for my particular merge it is not a problem. If you want to restore BEV to the un-merged version, just restore your backup of the BirdsEyeView\Backup\World folder.
