January 30, 201016 yr I have the Algiers add on scenery made by Riad Ghenim and I have a real bad problem with the default textures bleeding throught the scenery. Does anyone know of a fix for this problem? I have his city of Algiers scenery installed also. It's a very nice scenery but the bleed through problems take away the enjoyment of the scenery. (The scenery is found on Flightsim algiers7.zip. It was found on avsim but it's gone since the hack.)

January 30, 201016 yr Do you have the DGAA Exclude folder installed and activated? It should be set to priority right between the airport and the city scenery? If you don't have the folder DGAA Exclude, PM me with your full email address, and I'll be happy to email it to you. Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. January 31, 201016 yr Can you please provide us with more info about this?Nothing about it in the readme, or on the website.thanks,JoeJeez, maybe I made this myself back in the day! Now I can't remember -- I made some excludes for this area of the world some time ago, but really kind of forgot about them. Would you like me to send it to you for a try? Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. January 31, 201016 yr I tried the airport both above and below the city scenery. If you don't have the folder DGAA Exclude, PM me with your full email address, and I'll be happy to email it to you.I think the correspondent is referring to Algiers, not Accra.John My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! http://www.adventure-unlimited.org
January 31, 201016 yr Author Well I did try out those exclude files and they do work. I am a bit confused how a exclude file helps my problem. I always thought a flatten file or something like that would be needed. And I tried those files the way you said to install it and in the airport scenery folder and it worked both ways. Could you please tell us exactly what us "bleeding through" what?JohnIt's the default ground textures bleeding through the costum airport ground textures.I think the correspondent is referring to Algiers, not Accra.JohnYes I am talking about Algiers. I guess Trelane just got the 2 airport codes confussed.
January 31, 201016 yr Author Ok looking into this more I think it may be the AFCAD that is the problem. I deleted those exclude file sent to me by Trelane then got the original AFCAD back and instaled it. When to the DAAG scenery and there was no bleed through problem. I Put back my altered AFCAD (I used AFCAD to modify the original AFCAD) and the bleed through problem was back.I guess the author did not use AFCAD for parking, which is weird because the parking file is named AF2_DAAG.bgl
January 31, 201016 yr Author did you try the DAAG fix I posted?Yes. Although I tried it with the original AFCAD and not my modified AFCAD. I will try the fix you posted with my modified AFCAD tomorrow. It's getting late here to do it now.
January 31, 201016 yr Yes. Although I tried it with the original AFCAD and not my modified AFCAD. I will try the fix you posted with my modified AFCAD tomorrow. It's getting late here to do it now.Now I'm confused. Did the exclude files I sent you solve the problem? Did I send you files for the wrong airport? It was late then, and it's even later now . . . so I'm not sure if I helped you or not. :( Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. January 31, 201016 yr Author Well the files you sent had DGAA in the file name not DAAG (DAAG is the code for Algeiers). But I am going to bed now and will try everything again tomorrow. But I now have a strong feeling it's my modified AFCAD causing the problem
