Hi Gavin I use a Saitek yoke, throttle quadrant and pedals. I find they work well with all my addons. Mark

I also use the Saitek yoke, throttle quadrant plus an additional throttle quadrant you can buy seperately (1 only gives you 4 levers). The yoke comes with one also, so the price overall isn't bad at all. A lot of people have youtube vidz giving their reviews. I prefer the CH pedals myself.Lately I haven't even used the yoke. I have it plugged in for my throttle quardrant to work, but use a force feedback Thrustmaster 3-in-1 smaller hand held normal style game control. If I ever clear my desk off though, I might get the yoke in place ;-) The way the yoke mounts hit's my keyboard drawer also.

Hi,For me, it's an all CH (usb) setup : VPP PRO/QUAD/PRO PEDALSThe link below is from a previous post in the French Avsim forum where everyone was asked to show their setup. I thought it was a great idea. http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...p;#entry1598514Bruno
Ch are fine products indeed, thus why I prefer their pedals. But just to note, that post I believe was before the Saitek yoke and throttle quardrant were released, so hard to get a comparison there :( Another thought for a yoke that you may have read about in a recent topic is this bad boy! Less than $1,000.00 makes it a steal!!! :(

Thanks guys, I'd love a yoke but I'm struggling to make a decision because of space issues, however I bet it's pretty neat to have a set of rudder pedals and trackir when you line up on a runway. Does the saitek yoke center itself or does it stay where you leave it? Beacuse I'd like a yoke that doesn't. I remember when I had a flying lesson and turning and just being able to leave the yoke

I just turned in my CH yoke for a PFC (Precision Flight) Column Yoke and Jet Rudders. All I can say is there is a world of difference when using these high quality items. I've been fortunate in having several hours in a 737 NG-700 real simulator and I can only say that this yoke & rudder system is the closest you will ever get to the real feel of a commercial jet. The CH and others can't come close to these products. I have spent a lot of money on them, but, I've spent a lot of money on computer processors, graphic cards, motherboards, etc. etc.etc....Why not spend it ONCE on something that you will be using way into the foreseeable future. Makes a whole lot of sense to me, while I wait patiently for the NGX...:)Regards,jack noulet

Hi Jack, Just out of curiosity, which do you have? They sell quite a few after all and am wondering if you got the 737 one they advertise? I've emailed them long ago for a price and never heard from them. Most companies don't like prices on the real expen$ive items like they also choose to do, but when looking at the closest thing I can see comparable to the $140 Saitek unit I can see they do list the price of it, and it seems like their most basic. Here tiz (Not sure your up for the cost here Gavin, haha, but they do make nice products I hear).beech.jpgSuggested Retail Price $545.00 With Clock Option $720.00Not to make fun of them, but almost $200.00 more for the clock option? hahaha, must be a pretty sweeeet clock! Edit: Didn't want to say this and sound like a Saitek salesman, but anywho,,,, the Saitek unit comes with a clock and it has multiple functions, and the whole unit cost less than just this option :(

Hi Dan,I bought the Jetliner (Column) Yoke Saab Style and Cirrus Rudder Pedal Combo (PC/MAC USB) which was on special for $1,195 for both. I did not go for the newest Boeing 737NG style yoke as it is mechanically identical as far as I can tell to the Saab Jet style column yoke. If you go into their website and look under Specials, you will see it listed there. As I mentioned above, you can spend this much money on a new computer system every other year but you can also spend it for high end yoke/rudders and have them for many, many years. I just wanted to get a system that was half-way realistic as I do most of my flying manually. It's more of a challenge, but it keeps me-ole' brain go'in...:)) Let me know if you have any other questions regarding this combo..Regards,jack noulet

Thanks Jack, We think alike. I also tend to by what I really want from the start, or at least use this type of thinking when I need to help justify a pricey purchase. I like to do it right the first time rather than throw money away on something I will most likely replace soon enough. Currently for me as I've mentioned in other posts, I'm still trying to decide on what I am going to do for a mini-pit. I spent thousands years ago trying to pursue a 747-400 cockpit and have very little to show for it, so this time around I am going to build a more reasonable set up, with hardware not based on any 1 specific aircraft (easier said than done).I'll keep an eye on their specials, but from all of my pestering emails to Ace, might have to get there yoke just out of guilt ;-)Edit: Good choice on the Saab. I saw that before. There is actually more options with the Saab model then the 737, it's just the market is there more for the 737'ers I think. If I sold a grey cup holding for $9.95 I might sell 1 or 2, but if I sold one that was Boeing brown, saying 747-400 on it for $99.99 I would probably sell 500 :(

Hi David, By screwing, you mean using their kit? Or with "screws" other than the assembly thru the desk? I can't even look at my assembly that came with it at the moment because they are packed away somewhere.... gatta love losing the memory.
I bought the Jetliner (Column) Yoke Saab Style and Cirrus Rudder Pedal Combo ...
Jack, I actually just thought of a good but weird question I have always wondered. In regard more so of the pedals and them being metal and steel. How clanky are they? I mean noise wise. Could you apply toe braking without a spring slamming them (or clanking them) back into position? Or better put; Would it wake the woman trying to sleep in the same room? Haha. Thanks,

Hi,I use the following, Precision Flight Controls (PFC) Jetliner Column Yoke and Rudder Pedals. Far superior to just about anything out there today. They do come with a heavy price tag, but they are well worth the cost. If I had one wish for PFC's Yoke and Pedals, it would be to dump the potentiometers for optical encoders.

Hey Mike, Perhaps you can answer my questions above then? Also, which jetliner yoke? The 737 or the Saab version. As for the Optical encoders, haha, not sure I would be able to afford it then :(PS. Mike I was actually just going to reply to a thread you posted your feelings about a certain AI sound product. I lost the page, but agreed 100%. They should be ashamed for releasing such crap.PSS. Sorry to be hijacking this thread.
